Great little Kwik Kar, located in a mostly residential section of N. MacArthur up near Valley Ranch, so getting an oil change and inspection over lunch is actually feasible. I've been in-and-out within :30. I've also gotten full break service, inspections, and some basic tune-ups and never feel ripped off. For example, my brakes were totally shot and even I knew I neeed new rotors (not just pads). The owner ordered the rotors and I got them installed within 24 hours for about $250. Now I only plan oil changes for workdays instead of taking time for it on the weekend. The only downside is that there are no fast-food restaurants nearby, so bring some food to eat over lunch while you wait. And he needs to unlock his WiFi. read more

I was pretty disappointed with this whole experience. The owner acted like he had no idea that there was a $10 off discount on yelp and said, "never heard of it." The comment below says they experienced the same exact thing. Then when I showed him on my phone he asked if i had printed it out. NO...its on yelp and specifically says "show this to the owner or employee to redeem your discount". He was just trying to be a jerk about it. If you dont want to give a $10 discount then dont advertise it. Simple as that. He was rude and talked down to me like I was some idiot. Never going there ever again. read more

Went there on my lunch break to get a quick oil change. I always go to the dealership because I feel better but time did not permit this time. Pulled up, no wait, was out in 15 minutes. Cleaned windows and vacuumed car as well. They were friendly, waiting area was clean and I'd definitely go back. read more

DO NOT listen to the old reviews of this location. I showed up after work and the guys were knocking cars out one after another. I was 5 or 6 in line and they still staged my car to be pulled in and it was within a few minutes. I needed an oil change and inspection and they got them wrapped up so fast I had to end my phone call early to finish up. The staff were friendly and price was fair and the speed was perfect. Honest workers, fast service, quality customer service. Typically I'm on edge when it comes to my car. It's getting older and one thing after another needs to be repaired. Isn't that how it usually goes though? The staff there seem to genuinely care about my safety, the cost, and my loyalty as a customer. If they happen to notice something that may need to be fixed in the near future they'll let me know. Even if it's something they aren't equipped to repair there. They'll even go as far as looking up price quotes for parts and tell me what to expect for labor cost so full services shops don't rip me off. They enjoy what they do there, and it shows. read more

I would give this business negative stars, if I could. I recently took my car there for oil change and inspection. Right after dropping my car off, they told me I needed new windshield wipers. I didn't agree, but didn't make a big deal out of it. They did NOT change my windshield wipers, but merely switched them because the one on the driver's side was slightly worn, and the one on the passenger side was in good shape. The space that didn't connect with the windshield moved from the driver's side to the passenger side. FIRST LIE!!! When I went to pick up my car, all 4 of the workers were standing in the back corner of the shop SMOKING!!! All 4 of them were smoking at the same time with people waiting to be helped in their office. RIDICULOUS!!! Secondly, they did NOT change my oil. I took my car back to confront them, and they simply reset the gauge by turning the key and pressing the accelerator quickly 5 times. SECOND LIE!!! My husband went back the next day to discuss the troubles we had, and the absolutely did not care to discuss it with him. We will NOT be back and wouldn't refer anyone to this place if they were the only oil change facility in the metroplex. read more

One time I came in for an oil change based on the date of my last one but they told me I didn't need one based on my mileage. I didnt know lube shops did mechanical work but i brought my moms car here for brakes & they gave me a low price for the highest quality breks & had my car out in a hour. The next time i came for my oil change I recieved the same great quick service & I didn't feel like they pressured me to buy anything & they still informed me on what I should do to keep my car in great running condition. I went there to check why my engine light is on. They said it is the problem with Thermostat. And they charged me hell a lot. $130. Service charge - $85 . I am not sure of this if this will be so much. But the actual Thermostat they replaced actually costs between $10-15 and they charged me $45 for the same. Cheaters! read more

I went there for state inspection and I was told everything passed except I had torn wipers (at the edge of the viper) and they will fail. They offered to replace each viper @ 20$ each. I went ahead to get the inspection passed. I googled when I came home, I see that TX indeed wants un-torn vipers (even through they were in pretty good condition)....but what I don't like is I was not told about a choice that I can fix it anywhere and they will do inspection once again for free...which I suppose they should have done. I had my car towed in because it wouldn't start. When I arrived with my car the staff was really nice and they took my car in right away. The switch cable was loose and they were able to fix it right away. The manager Thomas was extremely helpful and very patient when he was explaining what was wrong with the car. Most places would of easily just replaced the part without even trying to fix it. Thank you so much for being honest and fair to your customers and mostly for saving me what could of been over $200 in repairs! read more

I went to a quick oil change and while they were checking my tire pressure, the valve broke, so my tire couldn't hold pressure, and since I was in a rush, they mounted my spare. When I was getting ready to wrap things up, the manager Ricky Ramsey, told me I owed them nothing... That even though he was sure that it wasn't their fault, that since I was going to go spend another $60 fixing it and since it happened at their shop, that I didn't owe him anything.... I was so surprised to get this kind of service, it felt as though I was being treated as a VIP... It's hard to find good service nowadays... But I would certainly agree that this was going above and beyond what needed to be done... I will always come back and I will make the drive to bring all my vehicles here... Thanks Ricky!!! Horrible service. They dont take responsibility for the things that they messed up.We gave our car for a ball joint replacement and they replaced it and broke several other parts. Now, they dont want to drop our car at the place that we want. Our car was in a perfectly drivable condition and now they have made it completely non-drivable. We got an oil change on another car and now the transmission sealant is broken. They are saying it is a manufacturing defect. Our car would have blown up in the middle of the hwy, if we wouldnt have stopped to check the fumes that were coming out of the vehicle. read more

Just called and talked to Augustine, new manager less than 2 months. I have been going here for years, worked with Anthony old manager and had a great mechanic that worked on my Jeep Commander. Well guess both our gone. This guy was very arrogant and said Anthony would do work and he had to fix it. I have a power steering leak and asked if they could look at it.. he said we can look but no promises.. did not make me feel very good at all. I have been going to this Kwik Kar for years they have replaced a radiator to a heater core, completely trusted them and always highly recommended. I am not customer anymore. Normally, I'm a regular customer at the Kwik Kar in Grapevine. On each visit, the advisor will run outside or already outside, greet me and tell me where I am in order and inquire what services I need for today's visit. Today, I was hoping, (key word), to get my oil changed here since it was close work. If you're a regular customer, you're aware that the sign says "10 minute oil change" so I figured I would be ok during my lunch hour. I pulled up, ran over the service bell which I heard and I waited. The young man who appeared to be the adviser since he was running around with a pad of paper and dressed with a winter hat looked at me from inside the lanes but didn't acknowledge. I waited about 10 minutes, backed and ran over the bell and looked the adviser in the eye and he kept in talking to someone else. After about 15 minutes, I had to leave so I guess this location is successful enough that they don't my change and the "upsell" of the air filter would have worked today. One star isn't really fair since I can't score No stars. Back to Grapevine where I should have gone anyway. Good luck to y'all. read more

I've been coming here over 1 year and loved the service but today walked in and there was a man dressed in work out clothes and I had to ask him do you work here? He was the NEW owner. Then I notice all the old employees were gone too! It's under new owner and new workers. He put up a new sign with no prices! I ask how much a synthetic oil change and transmission oil change is and he didn't know off the top of his head! Well if you had your prices printed out then we wouldn't have problem. Then a older lady was outside and her dress blew up and everyone saw her underwear and the owner and a costumer was cracking jokes about her! SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! Other people were coming in asking for services and the price for them and the owner couldn't answer any of them. If your going to own a business KNOW YOUR SHIT!! Plus his prices are higher then the old owners! Old owners said they would charge me 186.00 for synthetic oil change and transmission oil change and new owner charged me 194.00! Not happy and I won't be coming back!!!! read more

It's anything but quick. There seems to be a trend under the current ownership. Long wait times. Also convincing customers they need something extra or that they need to switch out a part (which they always seem to have to order by the way). I had to bring my car back a second and then a third time since they couldn't get the housing off to change the filter and were afraid they might crack it. Second time I brought it back the mechanic wasn't there and they were short staffed that day. The only reason I brought it a 3rd time was because they had done everything else for the oil change except change the filter and I had paid for the total already. But I still had to wait about an hour! And they still couldn't do anything! Other customers in the waiting room were complaining too. They've lost a customer. I won't be back, and from the sounds of it I'm not the only one. read more

If you do your inspection, make sure u change your wipers. They will ding you on that even if they are fairly new. Walked out paying $72 for an inspection--and so did two other vehicles before me. Very expensive wipers but cheaper at autozone or walmart. First time and last time customer! read more

After three weeks of tire rotation, I heard very weird noise from the front wheel and found that one of the front wheels is missing a lug nut and two were completely loose. I talked to one of the technicians today, and he took it as nothing serious happened and said to charge to me for missing nut. I don't recommend. read more

WORST PLACE!! Very Bad Experience , at this place . They can do only oil changing stuff . I went to this place to change Alternator , while changing it they break tensioner and Water Pump . After some days lot of sound started coming , I again went to this place , and they said your tensioner is bad . I consulted three different Auto shop , all said your tensioner is good , but this guy don't believe them and changed my tensioner ,and again same sound . Then they ask me to change water Pump , i don't know how long it will last , overall they have no expertise in handling auto . Worst part is which ever bolt they touch they break it and no one can open it next time . First i want to say never go to this place for Auto work , even some time you get trapped , just check inside bonnet of car , you will definitely find something broken inside . This is my three time experience , even new thing they broke . read more
