Kwik Kar is wonderful all around. The service is great. My boyfriend and I have taken our cars here for oil changes, emissions tests, and other general work including fixing my cruise control, and flushing his brakes and an ongoing spark plug issue. Every time they are quick, courteous, and do great work. The prices are slightly higher than the bare minimum, but you get what you pay for at Kwik Kar. They are lovely people and I'm happy to pay just a little more to support a local team. Also, they have free wifi, a good selection of magazines, a play area for kids, and tea/coffee (and donuts on Saturdays). If there's anywhere to wait for an oil change, it's Kwik Kar SW. read more

THE most useless car care people on the planet. They wouldn't change the oil in my 06 Jeep because it had an aluminum pan. Then I took a Mazda to have the transmission serviced, after waiting an hour I was told that the car too many miles to service. I even signed a "waiver" to have the service done. I sat back done, and the owner came over and again said that they couldn't service the transmission because of the mileage on the car. BOTH times they tried to send me to a transmission shop;{kick back}?? I would give them no stars if I could. They seem to have no sense of customer service. read more

I have continually had very good service over the years that i have brought my car here. My first experience with Kwik Kar was a few years back. My AC was out and several other car places couldn't tell why. They offered to replace everything in the hope that would fix it. No Thanks! Kwik Kar ran diagnostic tests until we figured it out, and kept me very much in the loop during the process. It turned out to be a small part, and the repair cost was totally reasonable. Kwik Kar on Wiiliam Cannon was great. I took my car to get inspected and the wait on a Saturday was just under an hour. The service was fast and friendly. The lobby was really nice and they served coffee and donuts. I just had the coffee. It was okay. But, you know, it's a car repair shop. ;). I took my dog with me and took advantage of the nice, gated dog park they have out back. Everyone there is really friendly, and communicate really clearly and professionally. I found this place listed online when I was researching what I needed to register my truck in Texas, plus it's right next to my house. When we went into the lobby, it was the cleanest lobby we've ever seen at a mechanic type of place. The woman who helped me was really polite and sweet. There was a wait time(we went on a Saturday), but they were able to just call me to come get it as soon as they finished. Just got my oil changed here and couldn't be happier! Was in and out in under 30 mins and they clean your windows and vacuum your carpets while you wait. They topped off my wiper fluid free of charge and the best thing is that they were not pushy at all in regards to letting you know about other issues on your vehicle! I appreciate that above all. I have an F-150 and needed a tune up. These are notorious for being a giant pain to do tune ups on as the spark plugs break off when you go to change them, so I knew my bill was going to be high before I went in. They knew of the issue before I said a word and took steps to lube them, making the chances of breaking minimal. Three broke off still, but instead of charging me an hourly rate to get them out, they charged me a flat fee. I can't tell you how much this saved me. It took them a good while to clean it all out (as to be expected - if it was quick I would have known they did a crappy job). My total bill (including an oil change) was $856 and with my AAA card it was $806. WAY less than some other shops around town that wanted to charge me per hour to remove the plugs if they broke. They also drove me to and from my house which is about 20 miles away. They had great communication as well. Thanks guys! Nice to know I have a shop I can count on to do a great job. read more

Mike has been a terrific mechanic, always explaining things well, keeping me informed of my options and being mindful not to sell me on anything that is not necessary. Recently had both cars tuned up here. Prices seemed reasonable. Last week had an engine light go out that I tracked down to a broken sensor wire. Since they had been the last under the hood they fixed it under warranty, even though they didn't really have to. They even vacuumed out the car saving my son from having to do it. Great service! Overall I like their attention to customer service, they ask you as you pull in for help, give you rides to work. I feel like I know the owner, manager and techs on a first name basis. I found more than what I was looking for, I was immediately greeted with a smile and handshake. Went back to Kwik Kar Southwest because of the response to the review. Had no problems getting the lug nut replaced and the oil change was so quick. Got 2 flushes done quickly and I can feel a difference in starting my car. Checked my windshield wiper fluid and while it didn't make the 'empty noise' it did last time, it still didn't work.
