I got the seafood pasta at market price (about $45 if i recall) and it was very bland. It came with cheese on the side to sprinkle on it but that didnt quite help. Ive never had to add salt to a seafood dish before. My server, Christopher, was friendly- so I would say the service was good. I also got a smoothie (Im struggling to remember the name, it had "girl" in it), it tasted very watery and bland as well. TLDR; i paid $60 (exc. tip) to eat about an eighth of my plate and drank the smoothie (more like thick watered down juice) to get rid of the taste. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The eggs were raw and unsalted, the croquettes were dripping in oil, the toast is two pieces of white wonder bread, and the tip is already included in the bill but they don't tell you that so we double tipped. Way over priced for the poor quality of food, do yourself a favor and eat at Wendy's across the hall. read more

***NOT RECOMMENDED*** Served SPOILED seafood. Just had AMMONIA smelling lobster in our paella. Reflected this fact to waitress, manager and other staffs. Was asked to still pay for the food. Served spoiled food and was only given 25% discount on the spoiled dish. They even have the audacity to add 18% on top. My spouse is currently unwell and puking in an airport with our transit upcoming. Avoid at all cost. read more

Service was great. Also really enjoyed the food. The deconstructed Plantain nachos were a hit. And also love the Tamal with pork. Great bar. Higher prices but it's an airport. Enjoyed the ambience for sure with a few TVs to watch while waiting for a flight. read more

I wasn't expecting to have good food at an airport, but alas, those are the cards we were dealt. That being said, Ku-Va was near our terminal, and we were hungry! Well, when I dove into my food my exact first words were "how?" And "why?" The black beans were fantastic! I just honestly wasn't expecting it. I've had a lot of bland black beans and these tasted so good! I loved my crispy steak. I'd only had this dish once before (somewhere else), and it wasn't very good. This was great. My husband had the pork, which wasn't as moist as he would've liked, but also great flavor. Overall, I was impressed and I ate every single bite. I didn't expect to have a good meal at the airport, but that's exactly what I got. read more

If you're ever traveling through Miami and have time to dine. Ku-Va is a must go for some good Cuban food. I don't think it's "authentic", but definitely tasty and delicious. For breakfast, the El Guajiro is delicious. Two fried eggs anyway you like over a Palomilla steak served with hash browns and toast. For lunch, the churrasco grilled skirt steak with black beans, white rice and sweet plantains. So so good. They also serve adult beverages. read more

Stopped here at the Miami Airport hours before a flight and tell me why the chicken noodle soup is some of the best I've ever had - big good chunks of chicken thigh and hot broth. Comfy booths, chill atmosphere, attentive service, and surprisingly good and authentic Cuban eats - thank you for healing me before my flight! read more

I've walked past Ku-Va for years and never tried it. I stopped in today for a spinach and cheese pastry. The line was an intriguing mix of airport employees and passengers which is usually a good sign. I waited briefly in line and got my pastries to go. They also have a full service restaurant. You'll find some interesting offerings to go here, several meat based pastries and empanadas. Cuban sandwiches they press for you. Even pancakes to go. They certainly offer a range of food and coffee. My spinach and cheese pastries were similar to an empanada but with pastry crust. The spinach was good, not a whole lot of cheese and the pastry itself was a bit oily. I enjoyed it but not something I'd get often. The employees are nice and service is pretty quick. I'll likely explore other items on the menu in the future. read more

Long time go to at Miami Airport (Terminal D) remains excellent. Delicious food - highly recommend the vaca frita and ropa vieja, which both come with rice, beans, and fried plantains - and good options for picky kids. There are lots of choices to order from and a large menu of food to grab on the go or to enjoy in the restaurant. The service is always very friendly and the people who work there go about and beyond to offer you a great service. I prefer the empanadas from this location because they aren't greasy and they are always fresh. I tried the chicken empanada and I bought a mango, banana smoothie it was excellent I have eaten before from the buffet menu and the fish with rice and beans is great. Great service and good good if you are passing by the miami airport!!! Empanadas are a most! read more

I love coming here when I am passing through MIA airport. Whether it's for a sit down meal or a quick bite to go, the food is usually really good and the prices are reasonable. The yuca fries with cilantro sauce were absolutely amazing but the vegetable quesadilla was just ok. It was just broccoli and carrots with cheese. Kind of weird vegetables to be in a quesadilla... but if you just want some pastries or quick to-go food, the counter outside the main restaurant space has all kinds of empanadas, rice, beans, meats, and it's one of the only places I've found that serves taqueños. *mouth waters* plus the location right at the bottom of the escalator to the terminal train makes it easily accessible from almost anywhere else in the airport. read more

In the middle of a hectic day of traveling, I'm stuck in Miami airport for a 2+ hour layover. I hadn't eaten all day and was fairly stressed. Thought it was Asian food when I saw it on the airport map. I was greeted by the hostess (Julianna) who seated me. I didn't want a sit down meal but I had time to kill. My waitress Saday was helpful and friendly. The food and service wasfast and delicious. I definitely recommend. Not what you would expect in an airport. The chuletas are ahhhmazing!! Very tasty, cooked well. Served with white rice and plantains (maduros). Highly recommend!!

Great atmosphere in the main dining room, cool separate bar room, and a quick grab breakfast/lunch counter on the Concourse. I enjoyed a fine Cuba coffee, eggs over easy, French toast & bacon. My wife, a healthy egg white omelette, wheat toast, and fruit - eww. Too healthy. Service proper, un-rushed, and nicely attended. Clean white tables and not noisy. read more

Its a restaurant at the airport which you have to know it may not be great. The place its located by gate D19, right across Wendys. The reason I gave it a 3 was because the food wasn't hot, it was more warm on the colder side but still good enough to eat. The taste was good and the portion was big enough. I wish i would have gotten more than 3 maduros. My waiter Luis was very nice, I have no complaints about the service itself. It was not as crowded when i went around 4:30pm on a Sunday. If im here again I would try another dish. They do add 15% gratuity to the bill. I would give them another try. read more

What an unexpected airport treat. Javier was a very attentive bartender bringing food, water, and drinks at blinding speed. The food appeared much faster than I ever expected and it was a legit arroz con pollo (chicken quarter with rice). The rice was on point with the perfect amount of salt and seasoning. The dish size was a full chicken quarter (leg and thigh). Chicken was perfectly cooked with a nice saffron rub. The maduros (sweet bananas) were just ripe, moist, and sweet. Stop on by and have a quick bite or a long stay depending on your flight plans. read more

Yep it's good! I had 30 min until boarding and it was quiet in this place - so I decided to give it a try. I had 2 eggs toast and hash browns with side of berries. (Didn't eat the hash browns ) It was perfect just what I wanted. I had passed all of the places with carb heavy stuff like muffins and croissants. I wanted a balance of fruit , protein and a little toast. Service was very quick, refills on water, clean comfortable seating. It's a shame that the counter nearby has a line for croissants , muffins and empanadas. Good luck y'all Fly safe read more

Overrated and overpriced airport food at its finest. My husband and I had breakfast here during our layover in Miami en route to the Dominican Republic. We were looking for a hearty breakfast to hold us over until dinner and we paid a pretty penny for it. (Over $60+ for the two of us to be exact!) This is definitely a sit-down joint in the Miami airport with plenty of seating space and a supposed "Cuban-feel." Unless Cuba is typically known for being overpriced, there was nothing really Cuban on the menu. It's clear the employees would rather work elsewhere and I'll probably join them the next time I'm at this airport. read more

The food was bland, my guava mojito was okay, and my water took a very long time to come. I finished my cocktail and waited another 15 mins before they brought it, even though diners next to me had already been served their water. I've been waiting on my order (which wasn't even taken for 30 mins after i sat down) for about 40 minutes. If you have less than 2 hrs before your flight do not come here. I spoke to management abt wanting to cancel my order & they said theyll have a server help me but they keep walking around and ignoring me so.. not very prompt on problem solving either Edit: ended up walking up to another manager after a few more minutes of waiting and she said my order was cancelled a while ago. First of all..... The tip is included! Check your bill. They add an 18% gratuity to the bill automatically and then add a line for you to add a tip. Don't be fooled into tipping twice! Don't get the Pork sandwich either. Terrible flat bland tasting dried out pork on bread they said in the menu is "pressed bread" but when it wasn't they just said. "oh I guess they didn't do it" I wanted to get a cubano but I let the server talk me I to this instead. Big mistake. Gave them several chances to correct it and save the day but they weren't interested. read more

I mean why not a 4 at an airport Cuban restaurant. Bartender was awesome. Great personality, friendly and helpful with the menu. I ordered the double grilled pork chops and swapped out the rice/ beans for veggies. Good call on my part. The meal was feeling and I almost feel asleep mid way through the meal. The plantains were like a dessert at the end of the meal. Two glasses or Red and I'd say this was successful given the hit and miss at airports. Would come back but probably try something else on the menu. Also love that they have chargers set up along the bar for your phone. Convenient. read more

Flying out to LA, I stopped by here for a quick breakfast, and quick they were. Service was fast even though they were busy, and the food came out 10 minutes after it was ordered. Food quality was decent, nothing extraordinary as you would expect from your favorite local breakfast place. Hash browns were similar to those of McDonald's. Price for the 2 plates and a cup of coffee was insane...nearly $40.00 plus tip? This is why you should stick to McDonald's or Wendy's while at the airport. An star for getting me in and out in as little time as possible. read more

After a week of eating on Miami Beach, the prices were darned reasonable and the Cuban chicken soup, pork, beef and chicken empanadas were awesome. They were doing a bang up business with a constant stream of customers. read more

Service was really great. Food came out super fast(not made to order). Quality was very mediocre. Pretty expensive as well($8 for fresh OJ).

Forgettaboutit! Fried out eggs. "Off" tasting, gready hash browns;+$1 for 3oz of oat milk. We ate maybe 40% of the servef food.

Have I had better Cuban food? Yes. But never in an airport. In fact this is probably the best food Ive had in years in an airport. The ropa vieja was great. Zesty sauce but the beef flavor was still strong. The meat was very tender. Black beans had a great smoky and saltiness. Rice was cooked perfectly and stood up to the sauce without being mushy. The mojito was classic and strong. I would eat here as a regular restaurant rather than just a fall back because Im in the airport. Service was great too. read more
