El Mirador is the in-house restaurant at the Holiday Inn Express Miami and is on the 9th floor. We had breakfast. Eggs, bacon, pork sausage, home fries, OJ, cranberry juice, and coffee. All on the American Airlines dime. :-) Food was good (it was breakfast) and the server was friendly and chatty; we liked her. As it was Sunday, there was a Sunday buffet. Lots of food choices for $20.99 a person.

Pleasantly surprised. Staying here in Holiday Inn for work, and this restaurant is on the ninth floor overlooking the airport and highways. Our group didn't want to venture out into the traffic, so we decided to give this place a try. The reviews weren't so good, so I was a bit hesitant. We were seated right away, and our server Ana came over promptly. She was wonderful! She knew right away we all needed the dreadful separate checks. When we asked her what was good, she replied "everything". She took our drink orders and then came back for our orders. Three of us had the salmon, and it was cooked perfectly. It wasn't dry at all. Another had the fajitas and she said they were really good. Another had the Sirloin and she was happy with the flavor too. The place became a little bit busy, however it's not loud in there so you can hear your company speak. They did add the tip in each bill to which we gave more because Ana was really great, patient and funny. Thank you Ana! Enjoy!

One of the perks of staying at the hotel is this restaurant on the 9th floor. There is a bar area and a separate restaurant area and there is also a little patio so you can eat outside. Service was a bit slow (but friendly) and it was not crowded but food was good and views were very nice. I loved my Cuban sandwich and the lady I was talking to had the salmon with veggies and she said it was really good.

Not sure if they have other branches but this restaurant is located inside the holiday inn by Miami airport. When we booked our stay, breakfast was included. When we went the next day to have breakfast, we were told that our options for breakfast are only from this small section in the menu (otherwise we have to pay). Anyhow, that section had around 6-8 dishes but all were basically the same. Eggs, toast and something else (potato or sausage). Considering we were in Miami for a week, it was boring ordering the same thing over and over again. So we skipped some days and went out to find a different place to have breakfast. Food wise, it was OK. Nothing special.

The food is really good. The bar could use better tasting drinks. Then you can start and dance. Good night out and in one place.

I chose to eat here out of convenience since I'm staying at the hotel it's located in. I waited 90 minutes for a simple salad.

Service was top notch. Very attentive. Food was average. We had the penne Alfredo, one with shrimp, one with chicken.

DIRT AND MUD IN THE SALAD!!! WATCH OUT…read more We ordered the salad with mango and pecans. They do not wash there lettuce. There was literally dirt/mud at the bottom and I took my first bite and it felt like biting into sand. Upon spitting the food out onto my plate it was black sludge. Literally my tongue and teeth were black. The waiter came by and grabbed the plate when I was in the bathroom. I spent about 10 minutes trying to get that BLACK SLUDGE out of my mouth. When I was spitting out the dirt/mud wife noticed the bus boys laughing at me and there was not a manger in sight. When I asked for a manager he did not even respond. No apology or anything just a look of confusion. Worst experience in a restaurant in my life and I love to eat and have been to many types of restaurant big and small. Cheap and expensive and this one takes the cake. We were so bummed as I see thousands of great reviews. But if there was a zero I would have given zero stars the way they handled the situation. If you eat there in the future make sure to check for DIRT/MUD.

Such was the other day when dropping & picking up my car from the auto shop a short walk over from Rinconcito. It's located in a strip mall - along with a few other restaurants - on NW 36th Street next to Palmetto Ford. Needless to say, after starving all day at work and rushing to pick it up before closing time, I was famished and stopped here in my repaired car. The dining room space inside is pretty large, plus they have a few outside tables. My waitress was casually pleasant: not the same level of attention you'd expect at a white glove spot but I wasn't ignored either. I ordered the somewhat healthyish Pollo a la Plancha. Served with cut up onions, a dash of sazon completa and two lemon wedges, this was huge! It took up the entire real estate of a plate, such that the sides were on a separate one. The chicken had good taste & texture, and again, the plate was large and filling. The moros (cuban rice) was with red beans, instead of the black beans I prefer & of course I loved my platanitos (fried plantains). Oh, and cafecito was had. I definitely needed the energy!

While waiting for my mom's delayed flight to come in, I decided to pop over to this quaint cuban restaurant about 2 miles from thr airport. The outside definitely could use a touch up but the inside was clean, inviting and nice for a casual night out. I didnt end up ordering a drink and ordered a Ropa Vieja. This came with a choice of 2 sides, of which there are plenty of options. I ended up picking the Yuca fries and black bean rice. The Ropa Vieja was packed with flavor and the yuck fries were perfectly crispy without them being overcooked inside. The black bean rice was the perfect compliment to balance it out. I was able to fill up on one dish by myself for dinner, so you'd likely need one dish per person. The Levhin Asada was highly reccomended as well! I was happy with the price for the meal as I felt like they were priced perfectly and felt like a good value. The staff was incredibly friendly and were only ever genuinely smiling! I will definitely be back on future visits to Miami!

We sat down and a lady in glasses took our order. We didn't even ask for it recommendations and she recommended two things and literally forced us to order one and we did. It was the A lo Guijio natural and it literally tasted worse than the Costco chicken. And she told me I should order the other shredded beef thing she recommended and I said no. I want to try a Cuban sandwich and there were several on the menu. I specifically told her I wanted the steak sandwich and pointed to number one and the brought out the el kubano sandwich which was number 2. When I raised my concern she argued with me and said I ordered that one and was giving me full attitude. Please do yourself a favor and don't come there. I don't know what other people are saying but I guarantee you food suck and service is even more terrible. Go somewhere else and maybe pay a little more or even the same to make sure you get what you order and probably way better food. DO NOT go here and have your day ruined like mine. She recommender chicken is below, as you can see: tiny, dry, and absolutely nothing special.
