If I could leave zero stars I would. At first the gel manicure was fine. A few days after I noticed a small chip forming on one of my nails. Then a few days later near the cuticle it started to raise. I called the business to let them know what was going on and they said to come in and they'd fix it. When I arrived they treated me very unkindly. They didn't believe me that I was there, I showed them my receipt and they still questioned my transaction. My index finger was chipped so much it got snagged on my blanket and ripped my nail. Ultimately I decided to just walk out without getting my nails fixed because they made me feel so horrible. Definitely will NOT be returning here. read more

I'm giving three out of five for the overall experience, because the owner Lynn is racist and had off vibes the entire time. She is negative, rude and doesn't offer basic customer service. Love this salon. Highly recommend! I've been here about 10 times and always leave happy and relaxed. They have a very easy self check-in IPad when you enter, which collects your amount of visits for points/ loyalty discount. Whether you call ahead or just walk- in, they are very honest and on point for wait times and never make you wait too long. Cole normally does my acrylic nail sets with such ease; never rushes, stays cleanly, perfects my picky nail shape and holds an easy, comforting convo while doing so. All the technicians are great but I particularly enjoy Helen's pedicures. Shes so sweet. There are a ton of color options and the massage chairs are great quality. Not over priced. They deserve no star. Cole did my dipping powder manicure and instead of using nail clippers he filed down the skin on just about every one of my fingers to round them out. Leaving my skin raw and open and it's been a week and it still hurts. Price was high compared to similar levels of service elsewhere. $60 for a pedicure that included sugar scrub and callous removal. I came to Arizona for the weekend specifically wanting a pedicure since California is still in shut down mode. I had initially picked out a different salon closer to my hotel but thank goodness they didn't have anything available until 4 pm. I called KT Nails and Spa and they told me to head over. I'm a hairstylist, I can do my own nails, but that doesn't satisfy my pampering needs. I stand on my feet all day and am constantly using my hands in chemicals and shampoo. My hands and feet take a beating. I love having pretty finger/toe nails. You can get pretty at most nail salons. This place does so much more than just make them pretty. They also make them feel pretty darn good. KT Nails goes above and beyond when it comes to the massage portion of a pedicure. For starters, the massage lotion is kept in a warmer so there's no shock of cold lotion when they first apply it to your feet/legs. Some places barely take the time to rub in the lotion and then they move on. Not here -- they don't skimp on the massage at all. They make my legs and feet feel like magic!! Just when you think your bliss is coming to an end, they bust out hot rocks!! And when that's over, they get steamy hot towels and wrap your feet in them!! I get the sugar scrub pedicure and all this special treatment is only $25!! I get a gel manicure and they have the widest variety of colors that I have ever seen and as a bonus, they are all painted on discs so you can see what color they actually are after they are cured. I've been to other places and they get sloppy when it comes to painting gel. It's very important to me that the gel doesn't get on my cuticle because that creates ridges that gets stuck in my clients hair. They always paint my gel perfectly and it stays on an exceptionally long time!! The owner Jenny is a sweetheart. She is always pleasant and periodically walks around checking the work of the nail techs and talks to the clients making sure they are having a spectacular experience as well. I was a walk in. I don't know if the nail tech was rude because I didn't have an appointment, but she was not friendly after several attempts to warm her up. She began cutting my nails with a clipper that was on her station and I asked her to open a newly sterile pack of instruments. It seemed that she did not want to work on me and by now the only other customer had completed her nail appointment, so they were not busy. There were 3 other techs sitting around. As this tech, I was later told her name is "chi" (sp?), kept quickly cutting my nails she clipped the side of my toe with the clipper. I immediately decided not to complete this service. They would not acknowledge the manager until I insisted and he was one of the techs just sitting around. I expressed my concern about the lack of friendliness and the cut on my toe. After a lot of heated conversation and their failure to acknowledge her poor service, I walked away but immediately went back in to request a notation of the cut, which was refused. I was told I would not be given the name of the salon owner and I could leave my # if I chose. I did and left. This salon doesn't deserve even a 1 rating. Accidents happen, but service recovery is critically important. I was told if I didn't like the service, don't return. Needless to say, I won't return. Beware of this salon! read more

We have gone well over 10 times, sometimes as a family, sometimes just my daughter and I. But everyone is delightful, and they try hard to get you in and out. Too many places think you want to make a day of it...for me, if it takes more than an hour I'm out. I have lived in Tempe for well over a decade and tried numerous shops since my favourite one closed 5+ years ago. This one is the best. I only took one star off because the last time we went the tech cut my beloved's nails a bit short and he started to get an ingrown nail from it. But we will definitely be back. read more
