Besides the place being AMAZING, their customer service is extra amazing! Had a few employees ask me while I was shopping if I was finding everything okay which was really helpful given the place is gigantic. When I checked out, there were 3 people there- 1 scanning, 2 bagging and loading the cart. All extremely nice and big smiles. I love it! read more

We live very close (.5 mi) and really enjoyed shopping here several times a week until the last 3 months are so. I'm not sure if they are short handed or if they have new management but the employees in general seem ruder. Two examples.... go to the bakery and politely ask if they know where I would find pie filling. A young lady with horribly painted eyebrows snaps at me "I have no idea what you are talking about". She was so rude that other workers turned in shock. Today (2/26/18) I walk in and head to the deli to grab some brisket at 5:03pm (grocery store rush hour). I wait in line and overhear one employee tell a customer " we don't cook brisket anymore". I waited into another guy walked up and asked "did I hear correctly that you no longer offer brisket?" He rudely says "of course we do - they just didn't cook any today so I don't have any". Longer lines, rude employees, and poor planning? Yeah maybe we should try brookshires, the new super Walmart down the street, or hold out for market street. read more

This is usually my one stop shop for everything and I have always loved how big and expansive their options are. But last week I bought some Kroger brand chocolate milk for my daughter. She became very ill. I usually always look at expiration dates but came to trust this Kroger bc everything has always been fresh. After we became ill, I looked at the expiration date on the milk and it had gone bad on December 8, 2018... nearly 2 months old. It was disgusting, I was disgusted. I can't believe they are selling milk that is 2 months old. I know things can happen and understand when things haven't been taken off the shelf that just went bad, but 2 months!! There is no excuse for that. Please be careful and don't make the mistake I did. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with the bakery at this facility. I bought a very expensive edible cake topper for my grandsons birthday cake. I took it to this bakery and was assured that they could make a cake using it. When I picked up my cake the topper had air bubbles and wrinkles all over the cake, the frosting was smeared all around the cardboard on which the cake was sitting. Last but definitely not least, the cake was dry and tasted like it had been baked for several days. I am so disappointed that his cake was ruined, I will never use this bakery again. I will take my baking needs as well as my shopping elsewhere. read more

Moldy tortillas, wrong price coding at meat/seafood counter, and quality of meat gone downhill - Wish Prosper had other options.

Worst service, rotten produce, awful bakery, the list goes on. Surely this store will go out of business when there is a choice around. Competition cant get here fast enough!!!! PS, fix your leaking roof, wet floors ia a lawsuit waiting to happen. read more

I am wondering if anyone from Kroger HQ even cares because this is a very poorly run store. I am so disappointed because this is right around the corner from our house in Prosper but I drive to Sprouts or Target or any other store but this one. The deli is gross - last summer it was full of flies. The bathrooms are gross - it was dirty and I went to the manager to let them know they needed to clean it and he could have cared less. I have bought shredded cheese 3 times from the cases in the back and had them mold in my fridge because there was moisture in the bags and they weren't expired or opened. This tells me it wasn't kept at the right temp in the store! Gross. The cart area in the front is always dirty and the carts always have trash in them. The whole store feels trashy and not cared for. The only good thing - most of the cashiers are very nice. read more

Purchased product with expired use-by-date and didn't realize it until it was consumed. Daughter actually noticed it while she was drinking it. A few weeks later went to same Prosper store to buy the same product. We noticed it was passed due, and took the items to show customer service, and shared our past experience. We even brought the receipt of the previous purchase and a bottle with the expired dates. Management nor customer service seemed bothered that they were selling product with expired dates, nor did they seemed to care that we had consumed it. If you are buying processed foods that have a 2 year shelf life, then Kroger Prosper makes a great convenient store. If you buy fresh produce, meats, and dairy (especially organic), then you are much better off making the drive to Sprouts or Whole Foods. At a minimum, both these stores back the quality of their product. read more

This is the closet grocery store to me. The service and quality are horrible. I will drive the additional -5 minutes to Frisco.

Great store, but don't try to call home and see if anyone needs anything... The cell coverage is terrible, at least for T-Mobile.. I literally had to leave the store to get any kind of reception. Otherwise, the store is fine. Clean, friendly, it would be good if the hot food like stayed open later... read more

We are new to this area and I'm so happy for having a Kroger close to our new house. The employees are so friendly and helpful.

While I am very excited that this Kroger has opened, I am always disappointed in how dirty the outside of the store and parking lot are. Prosper is such a great place to live I hate to see Kroger not adding to our town . read more

We've been here a couple of times, I've had no issue with shopping at this location but the check out experience is something else. We went on Saturday night at 6:30. They had a couple lines open and not to many baggers. In fact while we were still shopping, someone came on the PA system and asked if there were any baggers in the store and to report to the front. Also, why do they have the awful checkout where the cashier has to empty the basket. This waste so much time, and takes way from the cashier helping to bag. My husband ended up bagging the groceries and I helped when I could. Come on Kroger, it's like they are forcing everyone to go to self checkout but when I have a cart full of groceries I am not going to do that. read more

We have been to this Kroger a few times now because it's close. I like that it's close, I like that most employees are friendly and helpful, I like that they have almost all the things I need. However, I keep comparing it to the Kroger off Custer and I don't think it's as good. I have yet to see anyone use the enormous bar, what is it even for?? Plus, self checkout doesn't have enough space to put your stuff if you buy more than 4 bags worth of groceries. Today we went to get groceries and at the deli counter, there were flies all over the place. Landing on the meat the employee was slicing for us even! They acted like it was no big deal. It was disgusting! The cheese end cap by the deli counter also had flies on the merchandise. Totally unacceptable. There were several flies visible in the deli section, I counted 6 in my short time there. Get it together Kroger! read more

This place is amazing, everyone is always in a good mood and will help you if you look lost (which I tend to look like it all the time apparently). I always go here for groceries, there's one being built closer to me and hopefully that on is as good as this one! read more

Okay, so I just read all of the reviews up to this point, all that were dissatisfied had legitimate concerns, flies is deli....unacceptable. Today, however I did not see any, three persons asked me if I needed assistance, checkout folks were friendly, and the place is large and had most if not all the items " I usually" purchase. The big difference was the amount of my grocery bill at the end. I purchased all organic fruits, veggies dairy coffee and nuts along with Heartland bread (2.00 less here than whole foods and sprouts) yep, only bread I can find without all the emulsifiers, preseratives etc and I look! The deli carries Boar's Head, nope not Whole Foods with it straight out of the oven, but comparable to Sprouts...Overall, I saved 100.00 shopping there rather than WFs and I love WFs! I saw a lady there asking if the mgr could get an item and the mgr said absolutely. As for comparing it with Market Street..... Having come from the North East, I am just not pleased with Market Street, the folks there are wonderful but the selection of organic items (juice, produce, dairy, snacks) just isn't there and their prices are higher. I compare Kroger for those from the north with Harris Teeter and a little below Wegmans. read more
