Well-Stocked store with quality products with a DISASTROUS CHECK-OUT PROCESS.... Saturday evening. Why have some 30-40 Self-Pay stations and open only 4, causing a line of over 20 people down the aisle and only two-manned Registers. We just moved to area from Central Florida and this was surreal... We talked to 4 Kroger Staff members and is like SOP for them... Really...? First of all Krogers is "my go to grocery store" and I have used their delivery service for over a year! On Sunday May 25, 2025 I received 1/3 of my online order & case of water that I didn't order! All 34 items were charged against credit card the night before . The total was over 100 dollars and I was very disappointed because the main food items for my Sunday dinner were missing Once I calmed down I contacted customer service to inform Kroger agent about my missing items and requested to be reimbursed!!!! Kroger rep stated close to 60.00 will be refunded to my bank account in 3-5 business days!!! Again,This has never happened and I hope drivers pay close attention to deliveries to ensure alllll items ordered are delivered!! Lastly, Excellent Customer service is certainly lacking in 2025. This is the worst grocery store I've ever been to. The store is always low on inventory but if they have it in stock you better check it to make sure it hasn't been tampered with or stored improperly. For example, the apples look like each one is dropped before making its way to the display case, & the ice cream is always melted and refrozen and covered in frostbite. The store is always short staffed, especially during any busy hours - think weekday evenings and midday weekends. Expect only a few lanes open with lines backing up into the aisles. And to make the staffing issues even better, any time after 5pm, I swear they leave the kids in charge because it's a mess - No specialty departments are open or staffed, the belts are covered in sticky and wet debris, the carts are overflowing in the parking lot, and there is no one to help with bagging. If you can just shop somewhere, anywhere else. Go to the Kroger on Preston or heck just go to H‑E‑B in Frisco. It's not worth it to come here. read more

Kroger off University.. y'all better step it up before HEB opens. You took away self-checkout spots, still have to bag our own at check outs, produce has fruit flies (onions are rotting since have no onion paper on them), employees block isles with replenishments carts or pick up orders carts. Pharmacy closes for their lunch hour (can someone not stay to handle pickups so your customers are not inconvenienced to have to come back?!?!?) All of your carts are in the parking lot, except for the broken ones left in the store.... You try and brighten the store, but your employees are still unfriendly or no where to be found. This is by far the worst grocery store I have ever shopped at. They are always severely understaffed and the store is always a mess. I waited 15 min at self checkout for a staff member and nobody came. However, you can see employees that are there standing around talking to each other as if on break. The GM of this location should be fired. It's really that simple. Looking at other reviews I can see it's not just me complaining. It took a lot for me to post as this is the first post I've ever made on Yelp and I was so irritated I came straight home to set up an account just to post this. I had to leave self checkout to wait in a longer line to checkout with a person and asked to speak to a manager at the end. Guess what? The manager never came down after another 15 minutes. I just left. I will say my wife and I will NEVER shop at this location again. I will give my money to a store that cares about their customers. With only 2 actual registers open you are being forced into self check out, but when you try multiple times to scan a product and it won't scan the brat walked up to me and reset the machine and said "well you chose self checkout" I almost lost it. No I didn't choose this, I was forced to it because you fail to staff the store but when your employees come at me with that attitude I will be sure to never use this location again. read more

Terrible, worst chain of grocery stores in the country and this locationnis uniquely bad.. Bad produce, Terrible selection of everything. messy stores. They gouge prices on staples, i was surprised to find many items cheaper at the more upscale market street in central frisco. They take up so much of store with alcohol and other stuff, they have no room for variety in food items. Still, the kroger brand mozzarella blocks are better deal than other grocers in the area. read more

Very disappointed in this Kroger today. I went to this grocery store today to return a girls dress that didn't fit and buy some other clothing. I come here from time to time because of the clothing line being out of sizes at the other Kroger closer to me, so I came here.I found that their customer service was roped off in the middle of the afternoon around 3 pm. I was told by the guy working on their customer service machine to go to the girl standing by the self check out counters. The girls name was Annila something like that she had the long red or pinkish extension braids weaved in her hair. She was very rude. She didn't say a word to me when I asked her if I could return my item. She just called another employee to take her place and walked away over to the customer service desk then from there she yelled at me to come over there. The gates were closed so I couldn't get in, she just told me get inside, so I had to squeeze through the gates. Then she skipped around to the 3rd register and called me over there, she said, "here", like she's talking to a dog. She did my refund credit but didn't explain anything to me. I asked her can I get cash instead and she said no cause you're returning it. I had the receipt and my debit card and asked for the card I used. I had my debit card and Receipt. She still said no, I also had to give her my Kroger card and she only gave me a credit. She turned around, then came back and gave me my receipt with no friendly words at all. I said thank you she didn't say a word.. I can't believe that Kroger would hire a person like that to be a customer service supervisor and treats people like dirt. She doesn't smile at all she's uppity and was wiggling her body on purpose while doing the transaction. So what's with that. That's totally rude. You need to teach her some customer service manners and tell her the customers come first and she wouldn't have a job without customers. I wouldn't want to work under her because of the snappy way she talks to you. Doesn't explain anything in full sentences. I would hate to be under her. I wonder if she's trying to make me look like a fool by not telling me what she's going to do or to follow her to the register. This rating is based on several experiences. The worse grocery store I have ever been in. Very poorly managed and severely understaffed. They f you want a cart then you better go it yourself from the parking lot. Last night was the last straw for me. Decided to try this store for the clicklist hoping there would be fewer substitutions. No such luck!! There were about 15 subs that I didn't want and some weren't even close to what I ordered. The young man did apologize that they've been short handed in the grocery side, and this has caused food to not be stocked. Seriously ...get it together. Not impressed with our local Kroger. Shelves are rarely stocked. Aisles are always filled with store shoppers and you can barely get your cart down the aisle. Employees do not seem eager to help and are in no rush to check you out. I hope this improves as there is not much else to choose from. read more

I've been a Kroger customer for 10+ years and this is by far the worst location ever. We've used this Kroger for over a year now and the selection sucks and the lines are awful. Yes, I understand there's staffing and supply issues but at what point is that excuse ever a reason to have poor customer service. Pamela at this location is rude. I followed the direction from the customer service desk (who was friendly - thanks Tiffany) and Pamela made a huge deal about it. This Kroger used to be an ok place to get what you need. Including things not typically found in a grocery store. I.e.: clothing, shoes, small appliances, etc. Selection is typically good if not a bit pricier than other stores I. Fat forward to now. A couple weeks into the COVID-19 hoarding mania. I stop in here to fill a prescription and see if they have a couple items I need. Out of all the stores this one is not keeping up anywhere near as well as the other stores like Aldi and Walmart. What they do have, and what is promoting my review, is tons of meat. Mostly premium cuts, but all of it priced 2-3x what it would normally go for. $17+ per pound for steak that would normally be no higher than $8, in packs of $40-50 minimum. Pork loin at $13 a pound. Are they nuts? OAG needs to be aware of the price gouging going on at Kroger. Meat still normally priced at other stores. I also find it interesting that in other fairly high demand items they only have the high priced or designer brands in stock. read more

Their grocery pickup is unreliable and they REFUSE to have your groceries out to you at the time promised. Created a pickup order at 12:10 for pickup at 5 PM. Order confirmed at 12:11 and then another email at 2:15 reminding me to pickup at 5. At 4:30 on the app, I let them know I was on my way (30 min drive) only to receive a phone call at 4:56 as I'm pulling in that they don't know when my groceries will be ready but "sometime tomorrow. We'll give you a call." Since I drove 30 mins. & there were only TWO cars in pickup, I stated I would be happy to wait while they get my order together. The employee said it would not be possible and when the manager came out he said the same thing. Time is precious and Kroger needs to do a better job at communicating and holding themselves to the standard and expectations they created. Pathetic. read more

Horrible store! No help, shelves are empty, long lines and they don't open lanes. They want you to use the self checkout lanes with employees just standing around. Went to the meat counter at 7:15pm and the guy was almost done cleaning so I asked what time do you close this department? With a smart ass attitude he promptly pointed to a sign that said they close at 8:30pm!!! A lot of their produce is moldy along with some of their other products. I really enjoy going to Kroger because it's close and less busy than walmart. It's also close to where I live. However, the past 4 times I've gone I've bought something that was not out of the expiration date that has been rotten. Yesterday, was a personal salad "in date" that is wilted, greasy, and rotten. I couldn't see it bc there was a tray of toppings on top of it. The other items bought recently that were rotten were: a watermelon, creamer for coffee, and lunch meat. The absolute worst Kroger I have EVER been to! The first time I was there the checker never even acknowledged me and continued to talk to the bagger about another employee. She didn't say hi or bye or thank you or ANYTHING! The other times we were in there, no one was at customer service...when I asked why, the guy told me they couldn't get people to work. Pharmacy-Talk about medical professionals and the heroes of the medical front lines but who gets the brunt of all the waiting at Dr office or hospital ER or stay and the last stop is the pharmacy, these people are working so many hours and having to wear many hats adjusting hours just for Covid vaccinations and then having to process prescriptions! Good Lord what a store! Meet all of your home and food needs under one roof. Very clean and orderly grocery. Nice, friendly employees. Good variety of things we like. I especially enjoy being able to pick up my vegan specialty items all in one place without a need for multiple stores. Let me take a minute to brag on Glen (one of the managers in staff). We went through the check out line at a very busy time and the employee bagging our groceries forgot to put one of our bags into the cart because we were chatting. When I got home I didn't even realize. But the next day when I went to get the items out of the cupboard for dinner (friends were coming) I realized some of my most important items were missing. I called the store and Glen helped me fix the situation by having the forgotten items waiting for me at the customer service desk. How nice what that??? Without missing a beat, this manager took care of me and realized I was in a hurry. He won my vote for most valuable manager! Kroger, please hire more Glens!!! read more

The grocery pick up it a joke. Last week it took an hour the get my groceries. Today they called to say my pick up would be ready 1.5 hours later than I scheduled. Now that I'm here I can't get anyone to pick up the call in line to tell them I'm here. The call bounces around inside and then they put me on hold over and over. Kroger grocery pick up has failed miserably. If your reading this I'm currently in spot 7! You might consider shutting down this service until you can make it work even a slight bit efficiently. read more

Worst staff. I was at self-checkout, and I was waiting for staff to help with scanning a couple of coupons. The clerk who came to help me yelled at me "it's waiting on you!" before snagging the coupon out of my hand to scan it. I called customer service while still in the parking lot, and they told me it wasn't their problem because they couldn't ID the clerk. But they didn't ask anything to help figure it out either. I am not basing this on one experience but several. I believe that this store has cut back their employee hours so far they are barely making an appearance as a grocery store. I was there last night and waited over 15 minutes to place a deli order. There were three people in front of me and each one had a big order. There was only one person waiting on us. I did see someone come in and went straight to the backroom. Their stock condition is deplorable. It's all highs and lows. The woman at the deli was doing the best she could but c'mon. only one person? I see freezer cases that are not working so the product has ice on it. You don't know whether it was thawed because the freezer went down or what. The front end is a joke. The meat dept. has it's problems too. I try not to go there but some times I have to.
