I elected to have it with butter served on a warm roll. An abundance of lobster. I followed that up with a bowl of New England clam chowder. Also another good choice. Recommending this place to anybody who likes oysters and lobster rolls. We had identified the restaurant prior to arrival in the town and we were lucky enough to have it be only a two minute walk from our Airbnb. We wanted for nothing, as the service was very good. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, made suggestions, and willing to go the extra mile for us as we kept re-ordering additional food. They had many different specific oysters to choose from and they grilled them or served them raw, depending on what you preferred. As it turns out between the four of us eating, we had it both ways and they both were special. It was a beautiful evening and so our group of four decided to eat on the table right on the street. We enjoyed the ambience very much. So, if you're like me, and you're a little bit skeptical of the quality of the seafood being served in Murphy's California, there is nothing to worry about right here. Everything looked and tasted great, the service was great. They didn't rush us and we drank a bottle of California sparkling wine from Schramsberg, and so for a couple of hours last night, everything was right in the world.

We hadn't made any dinner plans this evening so tonight was the night! Gervasoni's is a great little hole in the wall. The decor is a bit mismatched so the vibe is kind of all over the place but it's still a good time. The staff are all really nice, the service is prompt. It's clean and tidy inside. The food was kind of lackluster though, which is why I can't give it a higher rating. A special appetizer, they had crabcakes this evening. It's important to note that I'm a Marylander, born and bred so I have incredibly strong feelings about crabcakes. I pretty much know to be very cautious about anything offered outside of my home state. The proper ones should be all crab with just enough 'filler' to hold them together. These were the complete opposite. I split the order with my partner and still gave up halfway through an individual cake. They just weren't for me. I had intended to get the frog legs to try them for the very first time in my life but they were all out! My partner got the fish and chip special. We were both surprised to see that the fish weren't beer battered, but it does look like they make them fresh in house instead of frozen and that is very cool! He loved the coleslaw and said it was really good! He also got the limelight cocktail and it was delicious. Strong too, so worth every reasonable penny! I ordered the filet mignon and while cooked to perfect medium rare, it was not a good representation of the the cut itself. It was very fatty, segmented, and was rather tough in spots to cut. I also wish that when our server had asked if vegetables were okay, they had specified that the vegetables were just zucchini. They were large pieces, cooked to be quite mushy, and were greasy. Killer mash and gravy though. Here's the thing: I will be back! I wanna try out the sandwich/salad side of the menu and get a cocktail for myself! And try the desserts! I still have a really good feeling about this place! Just need to find the right entree for me.

Added rice and garlic noodles and sweet potato fries. Service- 3 stars. Our waitress (blonde old lady) was mid. Firstly, she didn't get our order correctly since once we got our bag of crab, we had to ask where our sweet potato fries were and the garlic noodles. It came way later. Second- not once did she come to our table and asked how our food were. We came on a Saturday around 3 pm so place wasn't that busy. Combo 3- was pretty good. For 4 people, we finished everything in the bag. Sausage had a little spice and was better than other crab bag restaurants. 5 stars Didn't like our plate was just a small little paper container that didn't hold much. They don't leave the bucket to your table so basically have to leave any shells out on the table. Not a deal breaker but other places I've been to, leaving a bucket for excess shell stuff makes our area around our paper container cleaner. 3 stars Overall, experience was fine but not worth 5 stars. Noticed when we left, the two girls working as the "hostess" were busy talking to each other than saying goodbye or saying "thank you for coming". 3 stars

I really wanted to like this spot, but we probably won't be coming back anytime soon…read more We love the Milpitas location and assumed all locations offered the same drinks. We were disappointed to find out this one doesn't offer micheladas or Coke Zero (only Diet), both of which the Milpitas location offers. Service was also frustrating. We came in for a Friday lunch and they weren't busy, yet it took a while for anyone to acknowledge us and seat us. Even getting our order in was difficult because our server rarely came by. There were only a few other tables and three servers total, so it didn't make sense. We had to wave multiple times just to get someone's attention. The biggest issue was when we ordered 3 lunch shrimp boils and added 1/2 lb of extra sausage. Each lunch is supposed to come with 1 corn, 2pcs sausage, 2 pcs potatoes, and 1 boiled egg. Naturally, we assumed ordering 3 lunches would mean three orders of all of that, and one of the bags would have the extra sausage. Instead, they put all the shrimp into one bag. Ok fine but then we noticed we only had 1 corn when we should've had 3 in there. Once we noticed we were short on corn, we realized we were short on everything else too, with 2 pcs potatoes, and 1 egg in the entire bag. When we brought it up, our server said we should have specified that we wanted three separate bags. That didn't make sense to us. We've ordered the same way at the Milpitas location and received 3 separate bags with all the included items in each. Even if they combined everything into one bag, it doesn't explain why we were missing sides or why we would want less sides. She did say she'd bring out the missing items, but again, it was difficult to get her attention. The servers were mostly standing behind the counter instead of checking on tables. We also noticed their lunch pricing varies depending on shrimp head-on or head-off, which is different from the other location (they charge the same for either) and the Stockton location is slightly more expensive for lunch too..maybe b/c they add an egg? The egg was also over boiled and almost grey inside (you know what I'm talking about!) The yolk just crumbled. The sauce though was consistent and that's what we love about Cajun Crackin. Same great flavor. Overall, we wanted to give this location a chance, but between the slow service, the pushback on what should have been a straightforward order, and the limited drink options, it just didn't leave a good impression.

There used to be a slew of good fish restaurants along the south side of the Sacramento River, but…read moremost of them have closed (The Point, Rio Vista), burned down (The Nantucket, Crockett; Moore's Riverboat, Isleton), or transformed into something worse than before (Monica's Riverview, Antioch; The Dead Fish, Crockett). So, it's a pleasure to recommend a good fish restaurant with a good view of the water. Our visits to Smith's Landing have always been a pleasure. The food is a tad pricey but always excellent, with a decently sized and varied menu. The building itself is large, comfortable, clean, and appealing. The atmosphere is generally quiet (for a restaurant of its size) and relaxing. And the view from any of the inside window tables or the outside tables is downright spectacular. You can see clearly the harbor and the river, offering an appropriate setting for the excellence of the food. In all, I'd give the place an A-, subtracting only for the slightly above-average price of the food, which is made up for in both quality and quantity. You won't go away dissatisfied or hungry. Currently, it's the best restaurant on the river.

The food was definitely on an Applebees level and not what you'd expect from a steakhouse. Back to the manager. He greeted my friend because he knows her family, asked her if she needed a beer refill, more water. He literally spoke to her for 10 minutes and asked her twice about a beer refill until she said yes. He wouldn't look at me, he didn't acknowledge me when I tried to be a part of their conversation, and he never once asked if I wanted a refill on my cocktail or water glass. I was invisible. Then the waitress was very sweet but she literally directed her questions about refills and recommendations to my friend and not me. I literally had to ask for a refill and an appetizer. It was the most strange experience I've ever had. I was quietly erased. I rarely think that I am being discriminated against and hate to use the "R' word, but I was dressed professionally, well spoken, polite with good table manner skills, and normally people treat me with respect. This was definitely an outlier for me. My friend, the server and Manager share the same skin tone and ethnicity while I do not. The way that I was treated bothered me immensely and after a day of processing everything, I called another friend who happens to be the same skin tone as my other friend to ask him if I was "tripping". He immediately said that I had been discriminated against and that I should speak to my friend to see if she noticed and to watch her response. So I did just that. She apologized for how she subconsciously noticed it but didn't feel uncomfortable enough to step in and help me. She said that clearly realized that she should have intervened instead of allowing herself to receive better treatment than me and unconsciously condoning the behavior. I could tell that she meant it and was deeply apologetic. Smiths Landing is teetering on self-destruction by hiring a manger and staff who are making some of their good customers feel less valued than others. They are a discrimination lawsuit waiting to happen. It also showed how employees can destroy an owner's business if the owner isn't on top of things. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food is subpar and so is the service.
