Chicken fingers fries and a biscuit
    Peter D.

When this place was the 3 in 1 Deli, I hated it because they could only put limp, flavorless bacon on the borough's worst bacon egg and cheese. When this place was Blue Cafe,* I hated it because of the awful service and the disorganized line, and the fact that they couldn't make a proper sandwich. Now that this place is a Krispy Krunchy Chicken, I hate it for: 1. Having surprisingly good chicken tenders and fried chicken available instantly, at such cheap prices for so much food. 2. Being RIGHT THERE, and serving what I know is not the highest quality chicken...but making it taste good. Last time I walked in and ordered some chicken tenders, they just gave me fries and a biscuit without asking. Sure, I had to pay for them (they just gave me the meal), but I enjoyed those fries and biscuit. I live so close. There is so much fried. It's way too easy. This is why people get fat. _____________ *It still kind of is, seeing as how they just put Krispy Krunchy Chicken over the words "Blue Cafe" on the new sign.

Their fried chicken is just a little above the average but always super crispy and nicely flavoured.

Nicely charred where it needed to be. The kind of chicken that makes you pause mid-chew and point at the plate like, okay, now hold on. The beans were killer. Full flavor. Rich. Comforting. Not an afterthought hiding in the corner of the tray pretending to matter. These had real presence. The kind of side dish that starts acting like it pays rent. Deeply satisfying. Very much giving do not overlook me, sweetheart. And the rice? Stand up. Seriously. The rice came in with backup dancer status and somehow turned into co-lead. Fluffy. Well-seasoned. Actually worth eating on its own, which is rare because a lot of restaurant rice just be there for emotional support. This rice had purpose. This rice had ambition. Service kept things moving and the whole place felt easy to enjoy. No extra drama. Just good food doing what it was supposed to do. The atmosphere had that low-key, no-nonsense energy where people clearly came to eat first and talk later. Exactly the kind of mood a chicken spot should have. it's giving... every member of the group project unexpectedly pulled their weight.

Orders are made at the register as soon as you walk in, even for dine-in orders. I ordered grilled chicken with yellow rice and red beans and a side of sweet plaintains. The chicken was those flat, paper thin strips with grill marks all over. It was tender but not very flavorful. The yellow rice was good and the beans were fine. The sweet plaintains were the best part of my meal. They were cooked nice and brown and they weren't mushy at all. I asked for hot sauce. I was given a cold bottle of hot sauce from the fridge. The dipping sauce helped to give the chicken a little zing. Chicken Stop is a narrowly built restaurant with decent seating, dim lighting and fake grass walls. There was a large, flat-screen TV hanging from the fake grass wall, showing the news. The satellite music was an awful mix of soft rock and country/western. Menu prices are reasonable. I have business in that area now. I'll be dining at Chicken Stop again.

The meat, sauce, and pickles were all to my liking. The bread was just ok, it started crumbling at some point, so in the future I'd consider chicken without the bread. I ordered the chicken tenders & fries which came with cole slaw and pickle slices. The chicken really was battered & fried to fluffy perfection!! It had a soft & unique texture I don't recall ever tasting before. The sides were also fantastic; fries were crispy hot, cole slaw was not too wet or too dry with excellent flavor and the pickle slices were refreshing after a bite of the medium-spice level chicken. And don't get me started on that sauce!! It was perfect for both the chicken & fries, I loved it! Definitely check this place out if you're a fried chicken connoisseur! :)

Raising Cane's keeps its concept incredibly simple, focusing almost entirely on chicken tenders,…read morefries, Texas toast, coleslaw, and its signature sauce. I walked into a bright, clean, and energetic restaurant with a fast-paced atmosphere that reflects how popular the chain has become. Even with a line forming at the counter, the staff kept things moving efficiently, and the operation felt well organized considering the volume of customers coming through the door. I went with one of the tender combos, which is really the reason most people come here in the first place. The chicken tenders were juicy, freshly cooked, and had a crispy coating that held up well without feeling overly heavy. The coating had a good crunch that stayed intact through the meal, and the chicken itself was moist and tender throughout. The real standout, though, is the Cane's Sauce. It adds a tangy, peppery flavor that works perfectly with the chicken and honestly ties the entire meal together. Between the tenders, crinkle-cut fries, and Texas toast, it is a simple meal, but one that is executed consistently well. The toast is buttery and soft, and the fries are solid enough to hold their own alongside the main event. One thing I have noticed is that the chicken can occasionally feel a little greasy depending on the visit, especially if you are ordering a larger combo. For some people that may not be an issue at all, while others might find it sits a bit heavy afterward. That has varied from visit to visit, but it is worth mentioning because the meal is definitely on the richer side compared to some other fast food chicken options. The coleslaw provides a lighter contrast, though it is a fairly standard version of the side and does not stand out the way the chicken and sauce do. The staff during my visit were friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was well maintained. Food came out quickly, and despite the limited menu, there is something refreshing about a place that focuses on doing one thing rather than trying to offer dozens of different options. The simplicity of the menu makes the decision process easy, and the consistency of the meal across visits is a big part of the appeal. Raising Cane's delivers a satisfying chicken tender meal with quality chicken, a great signature sauce, and consistently solid sides. It may not be the lightest meal around, but when you are in the mood for crispy chicken tenders and a straightforward comfort-food combo, it is easy to see why so many people keep coming back. The meal is familiar, filling, and hits the right notes for what it sets out to do.
