    Lemon potatoes sides
    tony t.

I placed an order on yelp for pick up. It was for a whole chicken with 2 sides. I asked for lemon potatoes and roasted vegetables as my sides. When I got home and unpacked everything I saw the chicken and said awesome a full chicken and they cut and organized it into dark and white meat. The sides however...I felt like I got ripped off. These containers were not packed full or an employee thought this was OK is just ridiculous. I opened up the sides and literally thought did someone eat my food before packing this? This seems like a very bad case of shrink flation. The food tasted good but I'm disappointed with the amount of food that I paid for.

I had a taste for some wings and decided to try chicken feastin. The wings were tasty and seasoned well. However, my preference is more sauce on the wings, and I prefer the skin a little crispy. Because of the taste and softness of the wing itself with some warm pita bread and good hummus. You can't go wrong, regardless of preference.

Simple menu and I would think their chicken would have to be the their best but after eating it, it was disappointing. The quarter chicken we ordered was sad for it's price and it was extremely dry. It was seasoned well, but it was so dry we thought it was jerky style. The chicken souvlaki was dry as well but not bad for its price. The lamb was not bad as per my SO. He said it was worth the value and tasted delicious.

1/4 Chicken with Rice and Beans

Good place for a quick takeout meal. Been seeing the chalkboard on the sidewalk with specials and combos. Ordered the 1/4 chicken with rice and beans. The chicken is pre-grilled whole and set on the low side of the grill to stay warm. When you order, they carve your serving and reheat on the grill. As such, the chicken tended to eat a little dried out, but with a nice char flavor. Hot sauce/salsa will help hydrate the chicken. Rice and beans was just OK. Pretty good value at just under $10

Today I had the privilege of having a great meal at Chicken Feastin. I work in the area and I decided to have lunch at this new restaurant in the neighborhood. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki Platter and it was delicious. Besides being of excellent quality, the portion was big and the taste was amazing. I'm so glad this restaurant opened in the neighborhood and I can't wait to try their other food. Good Luck to Chicken Feastin!

The restaurant has become…read morea favorite among the Gen Z crowd, and after one bite of its signature chili-fried chicken, it's easy to understand why. The chicken is crunchy, intensely flavorful, and carries just the right amount of heat. Each piece is buttermilk-brined, country-fried, and dusted with Sichuan peppercorns, Tianjin chilis, and five-spice, creating a combination that's spicy, numbing, savory, and deeply addictive all at once. But the menu goes beyond the famous fried chicken. Seasonal dishes rotate regularly, alongside standout chicken sandwiches and wings that deserve just as much attention. There's an energy to the food that feels modern without losing sight of technique or tradition. That balance comes directly from chef and founder Eric Huang. Huang grew up working in his family's Chinese restaurant while training as a cellist at Juilliard School before eventually abandoning music. After a detour studying history at Northwestern University, he committed fully to cooking and spent more than a decade training in some of NYC's most prominent kitchens, including Cafe Boulud, Gramercy Tavern, and Eleven Madison Park. As a sous chef at Eleven Madison Park, he was part of the team that helped the restaurant earn the title of "Best Restaurant in the World" in 2017. Like many chefs, Huang's plans changed dramatically in 2020 when the pandemic interrupted his ambitions of opening a Michelin-starred restaurant. Instead, he returned home to help save his family's struggling business. Out of that difficult moment came the dish that would define Pecking House: the now-famous Sichuan chili country fried chicken, reportedly perfected on the very first attempt. Pecking House succeeds because it combines serious culinary pedigree with food that's delicious, craveable, and unpretentious. The fried chicken alone is worth the trip and the long line.

I walked into a bright, clean, and energetic restaurant with a fast-paced atmosphere that reflects how popular the chain has become. Even with a line forming at the counter, the staff kept things moving efficiently, and the operation felt well organized considering the volume of customers coming through the door. I went with one of the tender combos, which is really the reason most people come here in the first place. The chicken tenders were juicy, freshly cooked, and had a crispy coating that held up well without feeling overly heavy. The coating had a good crunch that stayed intact through the meal, and the chicken itself was moist and tender throughout. The real standout, though, is the Cane's Sauce. It adds a tangy, peppery flavor that works perfectly with the chicken and honestly ties the entire meal together. Between the tenders, crinkle-cut fries, and Texas toast, it is a simple meal, but one that is executed consistently well. The toast is buttery and soft, and the fries are solid enough to hold their own alongside the main event. One thing I have noticed is that the chicken can occasionally feel a little greasy depending on the visit, especially if you are ordering a larger combo. For some people that may not be an issue at all, while others might find it sits a bit heavy afterward. That has varied from visit to visit, but it is worth mentioning because the meal is definitely on the richer side compared to some other fast food chicken options. The coleslaw provides a lighter contrast, though it is a fairly standard version of the side and does not stand out the way the chicken and sauce do. The staff during my visit were friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was well maintained. Food came out quickly, and despite the limited menu, there is something refreshing about a place that focuses on doing one thing rather than trying to offer dozens of different options. The simplicity of the menu makes the decision process easy, and the consistency of the meal across visits is a big part of the appeal. Raising Cane's delivers a satisfying chicken tender meal with quality chicken, a great signature sauce, and consistently solid sides. It may not be the lightest meal around, but when you are in the mood for crispy chicken tenders and a straightforward comfort-food combo, it is easy to see why so many people keep coming back. The meal is familiar, filling, and hits the right notes for what it sets out to do.

There's also a Mexican spot in case you don't want tacos here or something as well as a bar in the same weird location. I would call it bizarre but also fun. The first time I came here was soon after they were supposed to open and the guy wasn't there and as there is likely still only one person working there, you might need to get another lunch instead. The menu here is jerk chicken related options including a chicken taco (what) along with some Asian inspired sides of all things (even more what.) The jerk chicken I had was moist but it lacked a bit of spice to be truly called jerk chicken outside of the skin. It was perfectly fine. I also ordered a side which was the soy-glazed rutabaga with charred scallion and chili dark sesame which was $7. This messy delicious side dish was better than the chicken being much more well flavored with a bit of heat in back and plenty of sour and sweetness. I also had an iced tea which was $3 which was slightly fruity and it was fine also. I find rating and writing about this place a bit weird as the side was good enough to be at a really good restaurant. If the jerk was as good as the side, I would recommend the place more. Guy in front is nice. Hope they do well but it's a weird location (at least it's close to Smith.) 3.something.
