This Krispy Kreme is located right outside of the Dupont Circle subway, which makes it a very good place to get a quick sugar rush. The lobby is a bit small with only three or four small tables, but I guess this makes sense because most folks tend to grab their doughnuts and bounce. Since I was waiting to meet some people nearby and had some time to kill, I kind of wanted to sit to have my doughnut and coffee. But, oh well. When it comes to Krispy Kreme, I'm pretty basic in that I tend to order either plain glazed or chocolate frosted dounghuts. I'll say that I was a little disappointed with the selection at this location. Since I visited on the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day, most of the doughnuts were of the green variety. I'm sorry, but the plain glazed doughnuts with green dye looked absolutely disgusting. Since the green dye made the doughnuts look slimy, they looked more like something that should be sold during Halloween. That said, I'm sure they tasted fine. Also, the doughnuts that had white frosting with green frosting looked fine. I went with a couple chocolate covered minis, which fortunately did not have any green dye, and I thought they were fine. Also, I thought the prices were were a little expensive for two doughnuts, but overall, prices are increasing for pretty much everything nowadays.

I was able to visit during the Krispy x Barbie collaboration, and was able to treat myself to a Barbie pink sprinkle donut. It was so sugary good, but a definite consume-in-moderation type treat. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was so nice (offering me another free donut for that day's promotion). Therefore, I was thoroughly "sugared-out" by the end of my visit, but still happily delighted. Given that it is conveniently located in the Dupont Circle area, I see myself visiting again in the future for my sugary donut needs!

Incredible but true! A dozen donuts (glazed) are FREE today for the first 500 customers through the door. I was the 6th person in line this morning. I'm an early bird, always have been. It pays off sometimes! It's World Kindness Day, and this is how Krispy Kreme is being kind. True story. Krispy Kreme--You Rock.

9/7/24 8pm Party of 1 Stopped by after dinner for a sweet treat. I was greeted when I walked in. Ordered: 1 Malibu Barbie Dream House donut 7/10- it's a Boston cream donut with a lot of blue icing on top. The donut itself was good but the icing was too much. I took off the entire top layer. It's still super cute though. Caramel latte 7/10: added an extra espresso shot, non fat milk and no whip. I couldn't taste any caramel but overall it was okay. Stop by and try their Barbie themed donuts.

I came in here on a Wednesday close to 9am during my morning commute. I stood near the the case of doughnuts on display since one person was ahead of me placing their order. As I waited, I shortly heard "next in line" from the register and it was Honesty! She proceeded to take my order, asked me if I wanted the donuts hot, rang me up, and I was out the door in less than 3 minutes. I sincerely appreciated her kindness. It was a great start to my morning and I made it to work on time. Thank you Honesty!

My favourite doughnuts. This place is small, but cute. Coffee is ok as well. Like it.

I've been coming to this place ever since they first opened which was early 2007 I believe, and they have always been on point! A few times I have come in and had coffee and donuts, but a majority of the time I would order my donuts to go. Even though the restaurant is rather small inside, they could do a better job and add a few more tables for people. Also the cleanliness of the store wasn't the best when I came in on this Sunday morning. I had some excitement for the strawberry iced glazed or even the chocolate iced glazed donuts, but I needed to think about other people who would be eating them, not just myself. ordered a dozen glazed donuts to bring home for me and the family, and I doubt that they will last through tomorrow. That's because they make them so delicious!

I came here for donuts and coffee. My husband and I ordered 4 original and 2 Bostons and then told the young lady we wanted an assortment for the rest. We open our box and got only one Boston and instead of a second one we received a cake batter. And the "assortment" she selected was two cinnamon sugar, 2 blueberry and two chocolate sprinkle frosting. I've been to Krispy Kreme multiple times and never got an assortment were the lazy worker just put two of a few flavors. The young lady wasn't paying much attention while we ordered. What a bummer, hopefully next time we get an actual assortment of the flavors. Only good part about this trip was the coffee! We got the vanilla latte and then a vanilla and caramel latte.

Had a craving and decided to cater to my sweet tooth. I ordered the HoT glazed and 2 of the cute Valentine's Day designs. Of course sweet and delicious! Hubby ate 3 on the way home. Of course it's beyond fattening so it's a treat for us and the kids. Loving the themed cookies as well!

The folks on this side were very sweet and helpful. When we went over to "Wired" to get our coffees, there were a bunch of *other* treats over there, which nobody told us about, so that was annoying because then we would have ordered way fewer items. So we got a couple more goodies here as well as our iced coffees and a hot cocoa for our kiddo. The folks on this side were unfriendly and uninterested in customer service ("Just checking in on our quiche...?";"Oh, we totally forgot. We'll put it in now."). We weren't impressed with most of our items though some were better than others. Unsurprisingly, the cupcakes were the best; we got the nutella and "unicorn" ones, and both were moist with excellent frostings. We especially appreciated the filling in the nutella. The chocolate chip cookie was terrible--our daughter, a cookie fiend, refused to have another bite of it. We liked the novelty of the "orange dream" shortcake. As for the other stuff, the spicy sausage biscuit was not spicy at all and had the consistency of rubber. The quiche that finally came out was too oily, but we all liked the decadent cinnamon roll. Bit of a mixed bag all around, so we're settling on three stars. We ourselves won't be back, but others might have a better experience on a different day.

Only in the bar area though. We ordered most of the happy hour menu because they just sounded so good and were priced so reasonably. The baby smash cheeseburger was gorgeous with a really good creamy sauce replacing the catch up with Louie dressing (their version of housemate is dressing ) and tartar sauce. And the perfect slice of pickle.. The buttermilk biscuit arrived warm with butter and seasonal blueberry House jam The mini spicy tuna wontons were like poke on wonton skins. We had the garlic black pepper wings which were a stunningly great surprise. Because the fresh garlic is minced and then you squeeze half lime over it and the juice is tangy and tart and sweet and flavorful all at the same time. They were out of the chicken taco but we had the white fish taco which was beautifully presented with sliced Julian radishes and small pieces of fresh mango and a kick worth feeling; the beer braze taco came properly smothered in cotilla cheese and cilantro.. We also decided we would need dessert. Most impressive was their grapefruit scratch soda which was incredibly refreshing with just a hint of honey. Not over sweet at all -- crisp refreshing and probably the best drink in the house. Don't skip it. Also ordered some cocktails. The farmer's daughter which is vodka paste with domain to Kenton and St. Germain, lime, passionfruit, raspberry and bitters. As well as the cucumber delight -- which was fresh and easy and came garnished with cucumber and cantaloupe. After all that despite the desire for dessert we were too full. Bartenders who served were GREAT. Roger was very helpful explaining content and ingredients, and jang made fantastic cocktails. Worth coming back too.

Instead of leaving the logistics to a third-party organizer, Caspian Crust hosts the experience themselves, and it works beautifully. Everyone shares one long Sultan Breakfast table, making it easy to meet new people over incredible food. If you see one of these events, book it. It's absolutely worth it. The Sultan Breakfast was outstanding and there was so much food. The value for the price is incredible. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and I especially appreciated that many of the traditional meat dishes use beef rather than pork. As someone who doesn't eat pork, that made it easy to enjoy nearly everything on the table. One of the unexpected highlights was learning more about the culture. Another guest at our table was from Türkiye, and she shared that breakfast is traditionally enjoyed before coffee. Once I knew that, it completely reset my expectations. Instead of wondering where the coffee was, I got to enjoy an amazing, leisurely breakfast first. There was a little confusion at the end about whether coffee was included with our event, but the staff quickly sorted it out, and we finished with Turkish coffee and a piece of Turkish delight. It ended up being the perfect ending to the meal. I also learned that the owners have family roots in Azerbaijan, which makes a lot of sense once you see the menu. While the restaurant describes itself as Mediterranean, the flavors and breakfast traditions are distinctly Turkish and Azerbaijani, and it is wonderfully authentic.
