Krispy Kreme is a tradition that I have fully embraced. Honestly, the best donuts are the hot and fresh ones. There are few things as satisfying as shoving 1 or 2 ( or 5) hot, Krispy Kreme donuts in your mouth. You can even go inside and watch the donuts being made on the conveyor like machine. It is really interesting to watch the donuts rising, then getting fried, then flipped in the oil then finally glazed. If you go, make sure the neon sign is on indicating they are making the donuts fresh. read more

I should've gone in the morning because the freshness of my donuts was questionable (and the conveyor belt with the glazed donuts was closed ). I wanted to try a couple of donuts so I got the 3-pack for $3.79, an okay deal when every donut is a little over a dollar each. I recommend getting the coffee if you're a coffee drinker. Open 24 hours so you can get your donut whenever you please. Look for the hot light because that is when they are the freshest. You can watch how they are being made and see that it is fairly clean in their kitchen. I cannot say the same for their store front. Their tables are rarely wiped down and they are not to busy to notice that tiny detail. Go late at night when they are making donuts for early morning delivery. I like that they are 24 hours so you can get your donut fix at anytime during the night even at 3 am like myself but they always seem to be out of the flavors I like and they just raised their pricing again on a dozen of donuts. The 3rd time since November at around $2.00 total. They said that you can mix and match any donut without paying a premium but you already paid a premium to do that plus the cost to do so individually would actually be cheaper I think! I placed an order online to pick up at 9 am on Christmas Eve. As I was unaware of the procedure to pick up online orders at the location I decided to call. The first option when you call is if you have questions regarding your online order. So I selected that and waited 10 to 12 minutes to speak with a person who worked a t a call center. I asked her if she knew the procedure to pick up an online order at the richmond road location. She stated that all locations do things different and she couldn't help. How do you run a nationwide company and not have standard operating procedures for pick up orders? She told me to call back and press 2. I called back and pressed 2. It rang, rang and rang. Eventually it just hung up on me. So I just got in line in the drive thru which took around another 20 minutes to get thru. So until they specify how to pick up your online order, it is a waste of time. read more

Bad bad BAAAD. Cashier made me VERY uncomfortable. The Richmond Rd Dunkin Donuts closed, so i was disappointed in not being able to go there. Coffee is a rare treat for me as i'm forced to get decaf due to some health issues. I had never been here before so I had loaded the website and picked out a coffee. I got a iced hazelnut coffee.... which was LISTED ON THE WEBSITE... Well the damn cashier was COMPLETELY weird about it. Said that they "didn't do that here" --didn't do what? He never specified so i'm still confused. The website said you carried this specific iced coffee? My husband ordered something too and they royally fucked up both orders. We found the closest trash can and threw it out. I suspected my order wasn't decaf either because he didn't listen to anything we had said when ordering and couldn't risk it not being decaf. After our orders were given he said he "knows how to make things happen" wtf? Okay...?? Our coffees were listed on the website... This experience has left me bewildered and confused, i won't be back for sure. What a waste of $6. Ended up going to Starbucks since apparently this place doesn't do coffee despite it being listed on the website. Honestly "bewildered" is the best description for this experience. Stopped in Friday morning to grab a dozen for a co-worker that was leaving the company. Service was prompt, wait was average, doughnuts were fresh and everyone at the office enjoyed them. My only gripe is when I handed the cashier my credit card, she did not give it back separately. Instead she placed it on top of the box, under napkins and handed it through the window. My car is lower than the window and because of the angle, everything on top of the box slid into my lap and my card in between my seat and console. My husband and I quit going to Dunkies because they screw up every order, every time. We started going to kk because it's cheap and the coffee was good.... the first few times we went. Then, when we would try drive through, we'd set there for 10 to 15 minutes. All we ever order is a black coffee and a coffee with cream/sugar!
