I got some oj and a dozen and sat myself down and proceeded to eat half the box. The only reason I didn't give them 5*s is because of the look I was given by one of the employees. He just came into work I just gotten off from am overnight shift. He just starred at me like I was crazy. Had he sled me if I was OK that would have been different. It was just weird. Staff is extremely rude. Only reason I came in today was because I had a certificate I purchased for a fundraiser. I said "good morning" to the cashier....she said nothing....snatched the certificate from my hand..didn't speak a word. The staff member that filled my order said nothing when I thanked her for getting my doughnuts. Will not be returning to this establishment. Rude staff, doughnuts have no flavor other than sugar...will be going to Glazed Doughnuts instead. read more

Stopped in with my sister and two of her boys. We ordered three "fancy" doughnuts and a dozen hot'n'fresh glazed. Glazed are the best, especially fresh. Got some milk too and that just made the entire experience. The place is clean and it felt nice to be there with my nephews, just like I was a kid again. read more

I love this place. If you want a sweet delicious doughnut made from scratch right before your eyes then PLEASE go to Krispy Kreme on Mercury BLVD in Hampton VA. I have been going this place my whole life and consider it to be number one for doughnuts. They have great promotional deals for the seasons such as pumpkin decorated doughnuts and free doughnut vouchers that read like Valentine's Day cards. And lets not even talk about how much I love when the hot sign is on. I do wish the store was bigger but that's not really an issue. In one word AWESOME. read more

Story time: This is the KK I grew up around the corner from. I left for school in Northern VA (The Great George Mason U.) at the tender age of 17 and never returned home to live. But when I learned that the nearest KK was Fredericksburg and Alexandria off Route 1, I knew I was being punished for taking KK for granted all my life. All those Sundays when the deacons would get a dozen and share em w/ the kids after Sunday school. All those times I carelessly passed by the "Hot Now" sign without giving it a second thought. Only one other doughnut company has made me water and that's Duck Donuts and they're still in 2nd place to my main boo, KK. With that being said, respect and love your KK doughnut while you can, you never know when they'll leave you. All hail KK!!! I've been shopping all week kind of finishing up with holiday presents, I'm happy to say that for the most part I'm done. So as I'm driving home what do I spy but my favorite donut joint Krispy Kreme, thank God the day is saved. I just love their donuts, if you've had a Krispy Kreme donut and then you've had a Dunkin donut it's like they don't even make the same thing! Like when you watch the Denver Bronco play football, then you watch the Cleveland Browns play (incase it's not clear: Dunkin is the Browns) Light airy, hot and delicious slices of heaven!! I love Krispy Kreme. However, there's something about this one that just doesn't work for me. It's a smaller store, caught somewhere between the old ones( of which I loved the warm feeling as much as the donuts) and the modern ones (which feel cold and stale but still put out excellent donuts). In particular though, the donuts just never taste as good to me from this store as from others; always just a little less fantastic than I expect them to be. [The "always" should let you know that I go to this Krispy Kreme relatively often even though I'm not really a fan of this particular store. It is a Krispy Kreme, after all.] The staff's usually friendly, although on occasion here -- more often than at others -- I've felt like I'm intruding on someone's day. read more

Does anyone really have anything bad to say about doughnuts? I think not. We found this small Krispy Kreme location while hunting for thrift stores on Mercury. I screamed "krispy kremeeee!!!" to my husband, and he knew that it meant stop. I normally go for regular glazed but saw that they had the key lime doughnut .. mmmm .. speechless. Just stopped at this location and the staff was super friendly. We ordered 3 dozen of mixed assorted.. That was a pretty difficult task at 2:30an. The assortment was about 4 flavors. I went here for my sons birthday and let him pick up some of his favorite donuts. The cashier was very helpful and patient as my 6 year old picked the donuts he wanted. After we made our selection and paid, we stood off to the side and waited for our box. Our sale cashier gave my son a small cluster donut and my son had a huge smile on his face. I told her how special that was for him and that today was his birthday and she went above and beyond and got him a balloon and another donut with all kinds of frosting on it (I think it was a snowman). This was such a special experience and was worth getting out of our car instead of going through the drive through to come inside and order. Great staff and great experience overall! My first visit to this Krispy Kreme was on 3/20/15. I have a few pros and cons about this place. I love Krispy Kreme donuts and will always be a consumer of their donuts. However, the store is very small. I felt packed like sardines. I typically have my little children with me and became accustomed to the other Krispy Kreme locations that have drive thru so it was disappointing to notice they didn't have a drive thru. On the other hand I did like the customer service I received. Though it was packed and quite busy the young lady that took my order was very attentive. She was only focused on me at that time and that's hard when a lot is going on. I also loved the fact you could see the donuts being baked and glazed. My kids love eating the donuts, but don't get the chance to witness the processing of making them. Yes it's small, but having great customer service and having delicious donuts will keep me coming. read more

Just had the worst customer service experience at the Krispy Kreme on Mercury Blvd in Hampton Va. walked in stood in the designated area for the line to wait for service, there were THREE employees standing there conversing, a personal conversation, all 3 saw me and my child standing there and proceeded to carry on with there "conversation" leaning on the counter with their hands tucked inside their aprons. When I saw that was not going to receive any customer service,I took my child and left as we're walking out I hear one of the "employees" call out behind me "oh I can help you" and then burst out laughing. I didn't bother acknowledging such ignorance. I promptly called customer service while sitting in the parking lot of Krispy Kreme, which isn't open on Sundays of course. I usually don't post negative reviews, but I posted this review because there are individuals out of work due to a government shutdown hat would appreciate that pay check at this moment while they were unappreciative of their jobs, inappropriate, and unprofessional. So sad, because the donuts were for my brother's bday today. This kind of behavior only reaffirms the work ethic instilled in me and I'm glad it was. read more
