The manager came out with this expression on her face like shes so done with her job. She said "what does it say on the app..." we saw that they only offer 3pc with a purchase. My bf ordered a drink but midway wanted to change the drink, so I can understand their frustration. In addition, we were asking whats the specialty coffee, she was giving the same face and said "what...so you want cookies and cream..? What flavor do you want? If you look here, it's on the menu..." Putting all frustrations to the side - I also work in the hospitality industry, and you should not show your frustration to the customer. This manager, the entire time - had the worse aura ever...you could sense that she was not happy with us. We were being very polite; it's a Sunday and it's my birthday, I have no reason to be upset :) That manager was just so rude and had the worse attitude ever...if she speaks to all of her customers like this, please go find a new job because customer service is not for you. I don't visit this chain often, but when I do everything's always hot and ready just as the sign says. Sometimes they do run out of the specialty boxes as a lot of people enjoy the different options that come in those boxes. Staff sometimes can have attitudes and not ask customer friendly. They tend to rush you when you're ordering. That can get a little annoying however place is very clean. I have been inside and have been served through the drive-through. My only issue is being rushed to make a decision and being constantly asked anything else after every item you order. It's super annoying. read more

Very disappointed with product. I bought six Boston cream donuts. With tip about $26. There wasn't enough cream filling in all six donuts to fill one. Feeling was about the size of one small grape in each donut. I'm giving one star only because I can't give no stars. read more

I stopped in on my way home from work . Was in mood for a little sugar. I really love their version of munchkins . I wanted 3 cinnamon and 3 white powder . The young lady says we don't sell them like that . I said what ? Come again? I said i pulled in got out of my car walked in here and you're telling me that you won't sell me 6 munchkins the way i want them ? Yup can't do it . I said what do you do with what you don't sell at the end of the day ? We throw them out . I said you would rather have me walk out and buy nothing versus make a sale ? But why am I watching someone pull the donuts with gloves on take my money with the same gloves on hand me my money and then the donuts and not take the gloves off and even change the gloves and still making the donuts for the next person. Why wear gloves do people realize that the whole purpose of wearing gloves is for sanitary purposes and yet you're being disgusting by wearing them because you're not being sanitary you might as well wear the gloves go to the bathroom clean the toilet toilets. Pick your nose make the donuts Wipe your ass. Serve the donuts take the money go to the bathroom eat your food and then continue to take money make the donuts for people and expect us to see you still wearing gloves and that we think your sanitary. By the way, I know you're not and most people don't think you are either Are you so lazy? You can't take gloves on and off do you feel like you're being charged gloves from your paycheque that it is so hard for you to be a person that takes them off and on throughout the day, is it so challenging that your employer should actually supply you more than one pair of gloves per day I'm highly suggesting to not eat at this restaurant or get more donuts at this place of business I worry about the factory I worry about the fact that we have Hair not in nuts while they make donuts however, I am just more nervous about the fact that I picked up donuts from a person that didn't clean or change her gloves in the middle of serving multiple people donuts I understand that this may not be an issue for most but if you really think about it how many time people touch their face touch their hair touch their clothes you will be shocked to understand. And gloves are supposed to keep them from being disgusting And watching a person serve someone donuts is one thing but wearing the same gloves throughout the order and not change them for the next order makes me wonder because if you took my credit card and I know where my credit card has been, I don't know where the last person's credit card has been and they don't know where mine has been, but I promise you it hasn't always been in my wallet. read more

We usually do a quick drive-thru when we're in the area and this Krispy Kreme location in Frederick is definitely one of the better locations we have been to. Always quick, efficient and fresh and warm glaze donuts! They always get our order right. My only complaint about this location is that I wish they carried more of the seasonal or special donut flavors like New York Cheesecake. We would definitely like to try that donut sometime but this location doesn't carry it. read more

I come here often and have never had an issue until today. I went through the drive-thru and the employee said she couldn't understand me. Not sure what she meant by that. Perhaps she doesn't know the difference between understanding someone vs hearing someone. Or maybe she heard my Spanish radio in the background and decided she didn't want to understand me. Regardless, saying that to a Latina with absolutely no accent seems intentional. When I pulled up to the window she confirmed my order--bravo to her. I had my card out to give to her and she shut the window on me after glancing at it. She returned with nothing to hand to me and then took my card. Again, seemingly an intentional act by someone lacking courteousness. It's not like I go to Krispy Kremes a lot, or to donut shops a lot, but this has got to be one of the best experiences! Easy to get into the shopping center. The signage is clear and legible. No weird U-turns needed or driving endlessly through rows of parking spots to get to delectable donuts. You turn in and boom you're right there. Plenty of parking spots right out front. The Hot & Fresh light was on. What a bonus! Maybe because I was all the way out in Frederick, but there was no line at around 4:30 pm today when my mom and I popped in for a donut and a coffee. There was one attentive and focused staff member behind the counter, several bees working intently in the back, and the delicious smell of baked goods and coffee in the air. There was one other customer who arrived around the same time as we did. She asked her daughter what she wanted from the donut assortments; the daughter said, "I'm good" and they left! Who leaves a Krispy Kreme empty-handed? What kind of disciplined 10-year-old was she? At that age, I would have picked one of each and told I'm getting nothing. The displays were almost commercial-perfect: clean and unsmudged glass showcasing the many, many flavors of donuts---including cake batter---neatly organized, all plump and fully stocked! Being basic, I opted for the chocolate frosted after pretending to be interested in the other flavors. My mom ordered a small coffee. The cashier poured the coffee, offered my mom cream and sugar. The cashier then slid the donut in a sleeve and handed it to me. I took a bite before I could Yelp it; no regrets! My mom said the coffee tasted hot, fresh, and tasty. The donut was hypnotically delicious with the right texture and a precise frosting-to-donut ratio. The store was super clean, the floors swept, the counters free of clutter, the chairs neatly tucked under the table, the marketing material clear and vibrant, and the menu boards bright and in excellent condition. Krispy Kreme has great doughnuts, but the drive thru service at this location Tuesday evening at 8PM was unacceptable. I ordered the vaccination special of two free doughnuts when you show your card. The clerk on the speaker said, "ok please drive around." I waited at least five minutes for someone to come to the window. I mean, how long does it take to bag two doughnuts? There were several employees walking around, and I honked my horn at least twice, and waved my arms only to be ignored by one of the employees. One employee finally came to the window, apologized, appeared to be yelling at another employee, and soon gave me a box of six hot glazed doughnuts to compensate me for my wait. Krispy Kreme is reliably delicious-their donuts deserve a 5/5, however I can't rate this location anything over a 1 due to the workers. We stopped at this location in excitement for National Doughnut Day after learning we can get a free doughnut! When the doughnuts are made, they fall onto a conveyor belt. The employees are meant to take them off the belt, placing them into the displays, on the rack tower, or directly into large order boxes...what happened instead was many doughnuts fell into the trash can since employees were busy chatting-not paying attention. Seeing this level of waste was terribly upsetting. When it was our turn to order, I asked the employee can I have the 4 doughnuts about to fall into the trash because I don't want them wasted-she informed me, 'eh-it's fine' and picked the first doughnut coming onto the belt. I understand not serving doughnuts which have been out longer, for fresh taste, but this wasn't a freshness issue, this was pure laziness of the workers to properly prepare the doughnuts and not waste a ton of food. It was very upsetting to see such a location waste so much food. On free doughnut day, take the doughnuts and donate them or something, at least put them on the rack for sales. read more

When you think of Krispy Kreme, I'm sure you are like me and think of warm and sweet doughnuts. When I visited today, all I was thinking was "Why are all the employees so close to each other and standing around?" I ordered two doughnuts and two hot drinks and as fast food is concerned, this was not very fast. And given the current pandemic with social distancing, it worried me to see so many people together in a small place, appearing not to be doing much. Then, our doughnuts were cold (I thought they were always warmed). The drinks are okay but man, this was a let down overall. I felt rushed once our items came out - I asked for a receipt and the employee said "thanks for coming. " No, that's not what I said....please give me the receipt so I can share my disappointment and make sure I didn't get overcharge. What are the COVID-19 regulations for this franchise? This is my first review so here goes. I came in about a week or two ago, and I was promptly greeted and helped by a nice young man, I am hard of hearing and he was able to rough out some basic ASL, to help me (It's always great to see people trying to learn). He helped me out and was very knowledgeable of the menu, prices, and current or upcoming deals. After quickly checking me out, and wishing me a good day I leave and head home. On the way i discover a bonus mini donut placed right there in the middle of my box. Fast forward to a few nights ago, I see him there again, and thank him for the extra donut, and he signs back 'it was no problem', he had kept at it! I asked him for his name and he told me it was 'Aaron'. Even though he looked tired and frustrated the second time around he still was kind and compassionate while helping me with my order. If you go to Krispy Kreme ask for Aaron! All in all the place is clean, safe, and seems to have a good staff! 10/10 will come again! read more

I have been to this location several times and I will say that are consistent with the not so great customer service. Most of the staff acts as if they don't want to be there or work there and that is conveyed in the service they provide. Also, the donuts at this location seem so much sweeter than normal Krispy Kreme donuts and that's not a good thing. The outside seating is large with covered umbrellas. When the HOT sign is on there is a slight delay, but lines move with the prepared staff for a grand opening. They have a great selection and it only takes a minute to fill up the box and get to the register. At 6:00 pm coffee is fresh and doughnuts are coming off the line fresh. Went there today because there was a 2 dozen donuts deal for $12. can't get any better than that right? Well, normally the service is great but today was less than average. I get it that it's the day before Christmas eve and nobody wants to work but at least fake it. The two associates were awfully quiet in asking what we wanted. The cashier was quiet toned and was not helpful at all. I wanted to use my app to pay and was holding my phone by the scanner for several minutes and turns out they couldn't accept the app (for whatever apparent reason). Thanks for making me look like an idiot. Then we get home and find out that 1) the order was incorrect and 2)the appearance of the new cinnamon roll donut was not appeasing at all ( see photo). We've loved Krispy Kreme for almost 20 years. When Krispy Kreme finally came to Frederick we were ecstatic! Today we just stopped in for my free birthday donut & coffee (download the app!) and we were served by the General Manager, Shane, if I remember correctly. Shane noticed we still hadn't used our free donut from when we downloaded the app and made sure that we got all the perks we still had coming in addition to the birthday freebies. I was just passing by that town, don't live near there, didn't notice the order was wrong till getting home. When I emailed them about it, they said I would have to drive back to store for a refund or replacement. I told them it is a 50 mile round trip, just for a couple donuts & that is ridiculous! They said that is ALL they can do. The manager is a liar! If he really wanted to resolve it, there is no reason why he can't send a refund in the mail! We to Krispy Kreme on 6/18 after work...I really had a craving for them. I drove 20 mins out of the way to go and once I got there I waited 20 mins for a dozen glazed doughnuts. I called my kids and let them know I had Krispy Kreme doughnuts and I was on my way... I do not make much money so this was a real treat for myself and my kids since we have not had a good treat in along time. I eagerly drove home with my doughnuts waiting to dive in the box and see my kids faces light up with joy. Once I got home and we ate a few they were awful.... horrible the worst Krispy Kreme doughnuts I have ever had. Being a long time customer of this company since they opened I was highly disappointed I was too tired to drive back and complain for an exchange so I waited until the following day. Once I called Krispy Kreme in Fredrick I spoke to a guy by the Elijah. He appeared nice at first until I told him my issue. I didn't want to just go all the way back to Krispy Kreme in Frederick without telling them my issue. Well once I told Elijah my issue he got really nasty and mean in the phone with me and stated he could not help me and had a very pissed tone I his voice like it was my problem. So I told him thanks and then hung up the phone. I called back a few moments later and ask to speak to a Supervisor and Elijah stared he was the Supervisor. I asked him again if it was anyway he could just exchange my doughnuts please basically begging and telling him about my kids and he stuck stayed NO! It's nothing he could do for me and again sounded pissed I told him I would just call my credit card company and cancel with them I did not even have the doughnuts a good 24 hrs and he said okay... Wow, so you just rather have an unhappy customer as well as miss out on money because I am going to cancel my credit card payment. Geez talk about leadership and lack of good customer service. I work in the customer service field and would NEVER treat a customer as such!!!! Ridiculous! I will never visited this place again or fundraise with them. I will tell my company about them as well as we often get Krispy Kreme in the morning for our meetings! Elijah your the worst and should NOT be in management!
