I will start by saying that I have a very high bar for pastry. Deb really does it well. Her pastries and biscuits especially will blew you out of the water. Flaky texture, flavor, generous filling and big size makes everything special. I followed her on FB. It took me a year to finally come visit her bakery. First time we stopped by there, she just got back from vacation and her pastry sheet machine broke. 2 wks later, we got to finally try her specialty, the real deal pastries. I am all about pastry, not so much cookies and cake type of a person. Vegetarian breakfast has chilli oil, egg, potato, etc. The bomb. Maple sausage biscuit has exceptional delicate crumbs texture. She is friendly and so is her staffs. Let me tell you, this place is worth 45 mins drive just to get to her bakery. The store is only open Thurs-Sat 9am til sold out. She will post her menu and video, pics for the week as well. This is the place where your eyes will keep wanting to check out all the selection in the store, just to make sure you don't miss out on anything and regret it later on. Will you look at the size and all the stuffs on it. When I rave about food, it truly has my stamp of approval, which is hard to come by.

Let me count the ways I love Deb's. A short list of... 1. I absolutely love how the line-up changes each week. And you post it - video and all. (Insert mouth watering) 2. That homemade Snickers it gets it's own spot. 3. I love that you offer some salty / savory items to balance out the sweetness. 4. Every single time I need to brighten someone's weekend or I have people visiting - you are my go-to. So thank you! 5. All the smiles and energy when you make it inside!! Get there a little early before the doors open and don't pay any mind to the line that stretches around the block. It's worth it.

The best pastries you will ever have. Their croissant dough is off the charts and they feature a changing menu with both sweet and savory pastries. They also have biscuits, cookies, cake, and pies, but the real star of the show is all the pastries. I get an assortment of pastries from here whenever anyone is in town or just as a little treat!

Hands down the best bakery around! A tad on the pricier side but worth every penny! I got the German pie, peanut butter chocolate cookie, cinnamon roll, and black raspberry danish! My favorite was the German chocolate pie! It was massive... at first I thought it was small for 21 bucks but it took 5 of us to finish.... It was heffy and absolutely delicious! If you plan on making a trip make sure you get there as soon as they open! These incredible treats sell out quick and for very good reason!

Let me just say, it was pretty mind blowing trying their pastry! We loved that everything had generous amount of filling/ingredients. Every bite so satisfying. The workers there were so friendly! We were kinda lost as to what to order and they were kind and helpful! (We got more than we anticipated but it was well worth.) It's a small but really cozy bakery and honestly I'm so happy I found this amazing bakery!

If you plan to go here, make sure to plan accordingly. By that I mean plan to wait about 10-15 mins and possibly even outside. We arrived maybe 10 minds after they opened and there was already a line ! Having tried some of their items I can see why! They have a select number of items and once they sell out of it, that's it. They don't offer an online menu as their menus changes daily but once you get ready to order, they definitely encourage you to take your time to look at the selection at the counter. They also offer great suggestions depending on if you're wanting something more savory or sweet. The place is small a does not offer any seating so don't plan to eat there. They also don't offer coffee or other beverages which was a bit of a downside since there was not really another coffee shop that was convenient nearby. The prices are on the higher end for baked goods so be prepared to spend a pretty penny. But I promise whatever you get, you will thoroughly enjoy it!!

My bf was in the mood for sweets and stopped by and ordered a few treats. He got me a raspberry blackberry (i think) danish and it was PERFECT! just the right amount of fruit and glaze ratio the flavors together were amazing I hope this is one of those staples on the menu because WOW! She deserves all the flowers!

If you're looking at the prices on the Saturday preorder menu and asking yourself, "I dunno, is this worth it?" The answer is yes. Whether you've got a sweet tooth or savory is more your speed, I'm pretty sure Deb's sells something that'll scratch your pastry itch. There are a few parking spots along the street if the small lot in front is full. The pickup instructions are available during checkout, but they've got a signboard out front with the instructions written on them in case you forgot to save the phone number to text. It took less than 10 minutes for the staff member to emerge with our order. Each item in the box was adorably swaddled in parchment paper, and was logistically plenty big enough to share between at least 2 people... depending on how much you love them. Here's what we got, in the ranking that I preferred them: Chorizo & Cheese Turnovers - great balance of protein and sesame seeded pastry. Pulled Pork & Mac Croissant - carbs in carbs! More flaky pastry with some nice texture on top! What's not to love. Blueberry Maple Buttermilk Biscuit - This was the biggest biscuit I've ever eaten in my life-- bigger than most newborns' heads. Good flavor and just the right amount of sweetness, kinda reminiscent of the top of a blueberry muffin but with a slightly more biscuit-y crumb and some caramelization on top. Mexican Street Corn Croissant - I wish this had been a little more herbaceous, but the flavor profile was clearly elote-inspired. Lemon Curd Cheese Brioche - the custard and lemon curd were delicious, but even though the former was very loose, I recommend cutting this in half before consuming so you can consume the bread with the filling in every bite. Otherwise the beginning bites of just brioche bordered on bland (possibly biased evaluation from eating the next item right before this one). Barbacoa Beef Hand Pie - great pastry work, but the meat was aggressively seasoned; the tiny condiment container of guacamole added a little relief from the saltiness, but the overall ratio still resulted in a net sodium bomb. Four and a half stars. It's kind of a relief that we don't live closer, otherwise we'd probably gain weight within a few weeks. We'll definitely be back to try their other baked goods.

Absolutely the best local bakery. The owner and her family are so sweet as well. I have never had a treat from them I didn't love!

For those who do not know, I will drive for food. Deb's somehow popped up on my IG (my phone probably picked up that I was looking for Mother's day pastries to enjoy), and after seeing what they had to offer, I knew I had to stop by. Deb's is about 1.5 hours RT from where I'm at, but that didn't stop me from (over) ordering a variety of baked goods. Although Deb's has a storefront, they are currently taking pre-orders online only for pickup on Wednesday (menu posted on Mondays) and Saturday (menu posted on Wednesday evenings at 9pm) afternoons. So, if you plan to order make sure you check out the website as they do sell out on some items. Ordering online is super easy. I like how there are pictures for each item. Be warned that your cart will fill up fast as Deb's pastries all sound/look so good! Once you place your order, you will get an estimated pickup time (mine was ready at the time indicated). When your order is ready for pickup, you will get a text from Deb's. When you arrive/are parked, there's a number to text with your last name. Someone then comes out and leaves your baked goods on a red bench just outside the storefront. Super easy! I have to say that everything I ordered was so good. All the baked goods I tried were buttery, flaky, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. So good! Prices are reasonable, especially given the size of the items. Definitely big enough to share with 1-2 additional individuals, or keep all for yourself if you want to save a little for next. Although I really did enjoy everything I tried, my favorites had to be the Boston cream cruffin and ham/gouda morning buns. I didn't share these and enjoyed them over a couple days. Barbacoa Beef Hand Pie-Packed with shredded beef that tender and has a lot of flavor to it. You could tell their beef is slowly cooked! I like how it came with a side of fresh guacamole, which made this pie that much better Boston Cream Cruffin-Croissant and muffin hybrid stuffed with vanilla pastry cream and topped with some chocolate ganache. If you love a good Boston creme dessert, this one is a must Carrot Cake Twice Baked Croisssant-Although still good, probably my least favorite item that I tried. This croissant is filled with carrot cake filling (contains some carrot pieces!), is baked twice (extra crispy), and topped with cream cheese frosting and pecans Ham & Gouda Morning Buns-Brioche bun filled with a generous amount of ham and gouda Morning Bun-This bun is filled with cinnamon sugar and topped with more sugar. Perfect for breakfast with your coffee/tea/latte. Mini King Banana Biscoff Pie-If you enjoy a good banana cream pie everyone once in awhile like I do, definitely give this pie a try. It's creamy, filled with roasted bananas, Biscoff cookies, and cookie butter that's then topped with a toasted merengue layer and a Biscoff cookie Nutella Bear Claw-Got to try the last bite of this pastry since my 7yo literally devoured most of it. He said it was a little messy, but that was because it was super flaky! Again, this claw was filled with the right amount of Nutella. Not super sweet I seriously do not think you can go wrong with anything you order from Deb's. Everything is that good. If you are like me and plan to over order whenever you place an order, you can store Deb's baked goods in the fridge for a few days (bring to room temp before devouring) or freeze (wrap in parchment paper and foil) before reheating at 250-275 for a few minutes.

I drove over an hour to try out this bakery and it exceeded my expectations. Location is in a cute little historic town. I grabbed a bunch of items to try. My parents are a huge fan of sweet potato pie so I grabbed a whole for Thanksgiving. I'm a fan of pumpkin pie so I grabbed the Pumpkin Basque Cheesecake, that way everyone would try it and let me just tell you, they ate the whole thing that same day. It was their favorite! I'm a huge sucker for pop tarts so I grabbed the raspberry jammy hand pie, as you can see, it's BIG! The chocolate chip cookie shocked me because it had salt, never had a cookie with salt but it was the best thing I'd ever had. The flavors meshed so well. I will go back soon.

You can always get the one you want without the awkward and mostly ineffective pointing and direction giving from behind the glass lol. I picked up a nice mix or sweet and savories. She kindly offered us samples of several flavors, which helped us narrow down our choices. I ended up going with a scoop of Piña Colada and something new to me called Candy Dream--a purple gelato that surprisingly tasted like strawberries. Super refreshing and different in a good way! I got mine in a waffle cone, but was a little bummed to find out it was the last one already--only an hour after opening. My husband had to go with a sugar cone, which was still tasty, just not his first choice. We originally came in hoping for chocolate, peanut butter, or salted caramel, but learned they rotate flavors daily--so what's on the menu board isn't always available. Just something to know ahead of time if you're craving something specific. Overall, great little spot with delicious gelato and warm, welcoming service. A server at the restaurant recommended Juno Bakery and confidently declared it the place for dessert in Frederick. Spoiler alert: She was right! I arrived at Juno on a beautiful June Saturday afternoon and the place was PACKED. It was actually hard to get back to the bakery cases because there were so many people happily loading up on sweet treats. While waiting for traffic to clear, I took a look around. The front of the bakery features several tables right beside huge plate-glass windows overlooking downtown Frederick. I immediately loved the idea of sitting in the sunshine, watching the world go by while shoving cake into my face. My kind of afternoon. I also appreciated Juno's hours. For a small bakery, they're impressive! 8am - 8pm Monday through Saturday and 9am - 6pm on Sundays. That kind of schedule makes spontaneous dessert side quests much easier. Eventually I made my way to the display cases and was blown away. Croissants, cookies, pastries, macarons, eclairs, savory items, cakes...so many beautiful things to choose from! Since I'd never been to a Korean bakery before, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. But I knew I was feeling cake. I posted up in front of the single-slice cake case, evaluated my options, and came to a perfectly rational conclusion. One slice? No. Two slices? Also no. Three slices? Now we're talking. Look, I didn't know what I'd like. I wasn't about to stand in line all over again if my first choice wasn't "the one." Surely I'd love at least one of them, right? I ordered a slice of the Carrot Cake ($6.60), a slice of the Blueberry Yogurt Cake ($5.99) and one of the mini Blueberry Cheesecakes ($7.55). My total with tax came to $21.35 and it was worth every penny! I asked to eat there and was handed paper plates and directed to the utensil station near the trash cans. I also overheard another customer being told that the restroom code was printed on paper receipts. Since I'd opted for an electronic receipt (no thanks to paper receipts!), I had to ask for the code separately. Not a huge deal, just a bit odd given that they offer electronic receipts. There are signs on the restroom doors explaining the process, but it's one of those little quirks worth mentioning. Armed with my three desserts and zero shame, I claimed a sunny table by the window and settled in. First up, the Carrot Cake. Dense. Super moist. Not overloaded with frosting, which I actually appreciated, much to my surprise, and absolutely delicious. It let the cake itself do the talking. Next came the Blueberry Yogurt Cake. This one was lighter and fluffier, with rich frosting and filling layered between. Best of all, it actually tasted like blueberries instead of just generic sweetness. The blueberry flavor screamed, "HEY! I'M A BLUEBERRY!" and I appreciated that. Then came the Berry Cheesecake. Oh. My. Goodness. This thing was rich, dense, and absolutely fabulous. It felt like eating an entire miniature cheesecake in slice form, which, honestly, is one of life's great joys! By the end of this little dessert extravaganza, I had consumed every single crumb of all three slices. Every. Single. Crumb. I had worried I might not love one of them. Turns out I had absolutely nothing to worry about. I still can't pick a favorite! Would I go back to Juno Bakery? Absolutely. Would I order three desserts again and demolish them like an absolute champion while sitting in the sun watching downtown Frederick live its life outside the window? Without hesitation. And now that I've discovered Juno Bakery, any trip close enough to Frederick just might require a mandatory dessert detour!
