Went here around 10:30 on a Sunday morning . Donuts were fully stocked and looking fabulous . The store was very clean. Employees were even busy cleaning when we were there. I was skeptical of Krispy Kreme donuts at first, but the donuts were very good. I had a pumpkin cream cheese donut. Delicious! I am so disappointed in the decline of this location. The last two times we went in we attempted to order two dozen glazed donuts and we were told we could only order one. When asked why, we were told they didn't have enough. When clearly the case was full. We went about three weeks ago around 5:30 pm and sat in the drive thru for 15 minutes, we pulled up to the window where we assumed we could order and we could see employees walking around and hear laughing. We were never waited on. Absolutely ridiculous. I work for a school district about 20 minutes from the Allen location and have to drive for this nonsense. I don't eat donuts very often, but today I had a craving and went to this Krispy Kreme store at 604 McDermitt in Allen. While I was waiting for someone to help me, I noticed two workers in the back area, where donuts are made and served, with big, bushy beards, and no hairnet to prevent their beard hair from falling into the donuts! The older gentleman, had a long, gray, beard nearly 6 inches long, and the other, younger worker had a full bushy beard nearly 2 inches in length... I was disgusted and left the store without ordering. I asked the young lady who offered to help me, "aren't these guys supposed to have hairnets to cover their beards?" The lady working the counter at 4:00 pm on April 8th was extremely rude! We should've saw the red flag and left immediately when we saw her rushing and being rude to the customers in front of us but we gave it a chance and she was extremely rude to my husband and I. She gave us a donut with barely any icing and when we asked her nicely if she could swipe it out for a new one she gave us attitude and then went to the back. There was literally no one else in line inside or in the drive through so there was no reason to be so rude and make everyone feel rushed. Plus it was so dirty inside! I'm usually the kind of person to leave a good review at most places I go but this place actually was pretty bad. I stood for a good ten minutes just waiting for someone to take my order (no one else was there but me) and everyone was just working on a single drive thru order. There were a good 5 workers at least who were working on a single order and casually strolling. Mediocre at best. Inside service was slow as a turtle, slower in fact. Could have been cleaner in the dining area. The person waiting on me seemed to have trouble picking fresh doughnuts off the line. Was comical really. My kraving was krushed by service and quality of the place. I ordered assorted dozen via drive thru. I got some custer filled, blueberry cake, and glazed. When I got home i didn't see the custard filled. Instead I got creme filling instead. The blueberry cake was hard, the glazed look like it was made since this morning. Came to this location on Wednesday around 3:30-4pm. After waiting for 5min for someone to come to the counter I was told they are out of the glazed donuts. Asked when they will have them and the young girl said I DON'T KNOW. MAYBE IN AN HOUR OR LATER? So since I didn't feel like waiting an hour, I asked when is the best time to come and get them as I was going to come back the next day... again, she didn't know, so I guess call ahead and ask if they have whatever donuts you are planning on getting. Maybe because I came here during the grand opening period or maybe because I came here around 1 pm in the afternoon. Whatever the case is, the donuts tasted stale, therefore, I was highly disappointed. I ordered through the drive-thru, and although the service was fast, the product failed. The location is not in a good spot either, due to traffic. There is a lot of room for growth here since it is new. In the past 6-8 weeks I've been to this location 3 times. On each occasion they were out of basically everything. No original doughnuts, none of our other favorites, etc. Staff could seem to care less. My wife has been by on several occasions as well and has had the same experience. Yesterday I stopped in to give it one last chance. They were out of everything but the Valentine's special. Good doughnuts. Hot and Ready light was on,so I took a spin for just one. These can be quite addictive,takes about 30 minutes to run one of these off but well worth it when they are hot and ready. I did order several boxes of doughnut holes for my staff not HOT and Ready so most were left. This particular location of Krispy Kreme is really terrible. I came during "hot and fresh" hours with the light on for the hot donuts and told them at the drive through that I wanted to make sure they are actually hot bc this is the third time I've been during the "hot and fresh" hours when the light is on and received cold donuts. So I rated this location 2 stars for effort. I purchased donuts on December 18, 2020 roughly around 8pm. I purchased a total of 3 donuts. 2 holiday minis and a regular size donut called Cake Batter. The minis were ok although not as fresh as they should have been. The Cake Batter donut was not edible and only looked good for a marketing presentation. That donut was and is still hard like it sat from morning til evening awaiting a purchase. Not only was it hard I received the donuts fast because no one was in the drive thru which should have been a red flag. Without anyone in the line those fat boy treats I purchased should have been fresh. So I have decided we are still in a pandemic and prices are up everywhere but also the I don't give a $h!t service is also on an all time high. But one thing I am grateful for is social media to help expose BS like this. I encourage everyone going forward who has noticed this behavior especially from large or BIG name companies to STOP this by making videos or taking pictures. As we know a visual can tell the stories better than words can at times. If we continue to allow this, large chains will continue to throw us slop like we are pigs.
