Not only do the new windows look sleek and modern, but the entire process was top-notch from start to finish. What really stood out to us was their honesty. While other companies tried to sell us on full-frame replacements, SHS actually advised us to go with insert replacements. They pointed out that our house has high-density older wood framing that was worth preserving. Following their advice preserved the character and strength of our home while saving us a significant amount of money. Their communication was excellent throughout the project, and the installation crew was fantastic: punctual, respectful, and meticulous about keeping the worksite clean. On top of that, their guarantee is rock-solid. I feel completely confident that this was a lifelong investment and that they will stand by their work if anything ever comes up down the road. If you're looking for high-quality window replacement with an honest team you can trust, highly recommend Scientific Home Services.

Moving forward, I would certainly recommend Jon and Scientific Home Services If you're looking for expertise from an honest team you can trust.

She was pleasant at first then called me back and told me her worker said he was told by the gentleman here that they did not have to worry about there mess he would take care of it, he didn't want them on his property... 1st off there was no man here ( no one was home at all...) 2nd one of the guys was already on the property picking up the big pieces of trash they let go. She said well he did run his magnet over your driveway, There's NO possible way he did with all the nails that were left and we also have 3 cameras that face our driveway 1 points straight down it one across it and the other the front and the only time it picked anyone up was when he was here picking up the big mess! She did tell me they would be here the next morning between 7-8 am I am still waiting for them but when I called her to ask if there was an eta she blew up on me, was Cussing me out and Hung up on me, Again this was all caught on camera, when I told her I am leaving a review. I have been NOTHING but nice and understanding of them... THIS IS NOT EVEN A COMPANY THAT WAS DOING ANY WORK FOR US BUT A NEIGHBOR!!

He was straightforward and provided an honest quote. We also got estimates from the big name companies which were 3x the price and they all made us sit through 2 hour long presentations before measuring and providing astronomical estimates. Chris didn't do any of that and it was a much less time consuming, no nonsense appointment. The work started when promised and his workers were respectful of our house and provided phenomenal quality work. I am so happy we chose Chris for this large project. I had a little bit of sticker shock from the first quote so decided this would be worth getting multiple quotes on. And Home Build was one of them due to their stellar Yelp reviews. I called them and they were able to send Oscar out right away. They told me to save 60 -90 min for the consultation, which seemed like a lot of time considering every other company just needed 5-10 min of my time. However, i was willing to invest the time for the right doors and right price. Oscar and i met for over an hour. He was super friendly and knowledgeable about all my door options. He brought along a presentation (via his ipad), as well as materials so we got it all done within that hour. The other companies took a lot less, but resulted in a few trips to my house and lots of back and forth via email. I honestly probably prefer the latter since less time all at once. In the end I went with a different company due to price, but thought this company offered a good product at competitive pricing so would be worth looking into them.

The night before he was scheduled to come for estimate, he called and said he forgot he had another appointment and couldn't make it. STRIKE ONE. Given my busy schedule, (and the fact that I had already rearranged things and canceled meetings for this appointment time) I asked if he could simply provide an estimate for my front door (being the priority) without me being present. He was able to pull photos of my home online and immediately provided a quote, which seemed a little high, but that's fine. I was hoping to see the quality of their work and professionalism with this project in order to assess whether to go with them for all of my window replacement and other doors. I agreed to the price, and asked when they would be able to install. He defiantly replied that it would be whenever they could squeeze my small job in if they had another job in the area that finished up early. What? STRIKE TWO. I reiterated that, given my schedule, I would not be immediately available at their last minute whim and would need to schedule an actual date and time for install, weather permitting of course. He very rudely replied that maybe if I had other work to schedule-like at least 4 window replacements- then they would be able to schedule an install. Otherwise, there is no way ANY contractor would schedule an appointment and GOOD LUCK trying to find one who would. STRIKE THREE. Perhaps if you were able to professionally handle keeping the estimate appointment and installing the door, you would have had business on all window and door replacement in my house. Very rude and unprofessional.

We had two condo units in our building update windows as well as two back hallway windows, and Jacob provided a highly competitive quote. He was kind and patient when we waited for other unit owners in the building to decide, and did not push us to move quicker or make a decision when we were not yet ready. Ordering windows took a few weeks and teams on install day moved swiftly and kept the area clean after! I also want to note that we live on the 3rd floor of a condo building and many contractors said they could not install and/or needed additional materials, external infrastructure and costs to do the project, but Jacob made it seamless with bringing windows up the stairs, and doing an internal install, which incurred no extra install costs. This was also great as it did not impact our neighbors and kept the project contained and clean. Jacob really cares about being transparent and has earned our trust, and I would 100% recommend him and his team to anyone looking to install new windows in their home. Overall, we really highly recommend Jacobs 1 Construction! I cannot say enough great things about the quality of their work, competitive pricing, and their dedication to their customers.
