I really hate to do this considering this would be their first review. They have simple menu, which I forgot to take the picture. I'm not sure what's the drink menu but there's 3 of those and the food would be fries, fried tofu, shrimps and chicken. All of their food is Szechuan style, not too spicy for me. I got their chicken for $8, which to my surprise because the price on the menu is $12. I figured because it's lunch price. Good deal right? It's 1/3 off. So, why the 3 stars? I'm actually pretty generous in giving stars in all of my reviews. Here's why, there's only few bits of chicken and most of the dish is potatoes. If you're like me, then you would say this place is meh. Would I come again? Nope. Korean fried chicken, Panda Express and tonkotsu ramen are calling for me

I've tried quite a few dishes here and honestly everything has been solid. I usually get the house beef noodle but this time I tried the braised pork noodle. The noodles had the perfect bouncy texture, the pork was super tender, and the bok choy added a nice crunch that helped balance the richness of the broth. My friend got the hot and sour chaoshou which was also really good. The dumpling skin was chewy and they were packed with filling. It's also nice that you can customize the oil level in your broth. We ordered the pig ears as an appetizer too. I loved the crunchy texture but the flavor was a bit underwhelming. The initial taste was mostly chili oil and then the flavor kind of disappeared. They have a lot of other great appetizers on the menu so I'd probably skip this one next time. If you're looking for a relaxed spot with consistently good noodles Mian is definitely worth checking out!!

We usually come for the Chengdu zhajiang noodles, but also added on some cold apps and they didn't disappoint. Although still very spicy, the tofu with century egg dish had a calming effect to it that helped relieved some of the spices. Service was surprisingly great for a Chinese restaurant, and they were both attentive and efficient. Would definitely return again.

I ordered the two most standard items...Kung Pao chicken and shredded pork in Szechuan sauce. They have the looks of good Szechuan foods, but their sauces are a little too sweet for me. It is what Americans like. The bill came to almost $30.00. That is what to go foods cost now a day. All in all, this place is ok for what they charge. Ray out.

Since Meizhou Dongpo closed, this has become our go-to place for family gatherings, and their private dining rooms are a big reason why. There is, however, one small detail that I hope the management will reconsider. The giant tower of lollipops displayed right next to the cashier is impossible to miss. For young children who are still learning self-control, it's an overwhelming temptation and often leads to unnecessary meltdowns right before leaving. In my opinion, complimentary candy should be offered after payment in a tray or handed out by staff, rather than displayed so prominently at the checkout. This may seem like a minor issue, but it would make the experience much more pleasant for families with young kids. Overall, it's still a great restaurant, and I would happily come back.

We were pleasantly surprised that the lunch AYCE price was $25/person. They have a self service model for most of the meats/veggies/noodles as well as the sauce bar. You can also order appetizers and thinly sliced meat through their QR code. There were some snacks near the sauce bar such as freshly fried mantou and shrimp chips as well as bing fen and fresh fruit for a refreshing end of the meal treat. Everything was super fresh. The meatballs and beef belly were especially good and the spicy broth had the perfect amount of spice and flavor to it. I definitely would come here again to eat! One of the items that you can order has a peanut topping on it and the host was considerate to notify us about it. Upon hearing that one of our party members was allergic to peanuts, they came back with some freshly made without the peanut on it. Such wonderful service.

However, SLICED proteins such as sliced ribeye beef, sliced prime USDA beef, and sliced pork are restricted to 3 dishes per order, must be order by request, and are prepared in the kitchen. Portions are small and not sufficient for two or more people. When we tried to order a second round, only two dishes arrived out of the 3. On the third attempt, nothing arrived at all. On top of that, the wait time for sliced proteins was extremely long. While the menu is promoted as AYCE, the service appears to intentionally slow down and limit access to the main protein items, which is misleading and disappointing.

It offers a generous portion of tender, juicy meat and springy, fresh noodles. "DELICIOUS!!" I arrived at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) on Sunday (around 11AM). Parking is easy. The lot is big with many spots. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, but Staff spoke limited English. Fortunately, pointing at the menu was clear enough. The food took eight minutes and nine seconds. Fast time! As mentioned, the Beef Rib Noodle Soup ($16.50 - Mild) is wonderful! It arrived picturesque and delicious!! However, despite ordering "mild," the food has a very strong heat; I sweat nonstop as I ate. The broth is rich, savory, and spicy. The meat is tender, flavorful, and falls off the bone. And the noodles are hefty, soft, and springy. It's a wonderful, euphoric combination of flavors and textures. Concerning ambiance, No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) is surprisingly spacious with its tall ceiling and relatively clean surroundings. However, its walls and furniture look worn down with time. Some seats even had torn holes. Unfortunately, the music uses radio with constant commercials playing in the background. Fortunately, there's a gender neutral restroom in the back. Overall, I found culinary magic at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights). The food is fresh, generously portioned, and well-prepared. I left full with a bright smile. If you enjoy spicy beef noodle soup, this is a must-try! 5 out of 5!! "GO!!"
