I really hate to do this considering this would be their first review. They have simple menu, which I forgot to take the picture. I'm not sure what's the drink menu but there's 3 of those and the food would be fries, fried tofu, shrimps and chicken. All of their food is Szechuan style, not too spicy for me. I got their chicken for $8, which to my surprise because the price on the menu is $12. I figured because it's lunch price. Good deal right? It's 1/3 off. So, why the 3 stars? I'm actually pretty generous in giving stars in all of my reviews. Here's why, there's only few bits of chicken and most of the dish is potatoes. If you're like me, then you would say this place is meh. Would I come again? Nope. Korean fried chicken, Panda Express and tonkotsu ramen are calling for me

Ordering is simple with self-service table tablets that include photos of the dishes, though staff are always nearby and happy to assist. We ordered familiar favorites to compare with our experiences at their previous location: spicy fried pork intestine, dry fried green beans, hot & sour shredded potato, glass noodles, and house fried rice. We were happy to find the portions still generous and, more importantly, the flavors consistent with what we remembered. The menu has also expanded to include Peking duck, so we'll definitely be back to try that next time. Decent size of dining hall with separated individual booths which provide privacy and with a clean and chic vibe. We ordered the following dishes: Brown sugar rice sticks-my all time favorite Sichuan dessert, I order this whenever I see it on the menu and most Sichuan cuisine restaurants have it. It's good with the right amount of crispiness and not overly sweet. The glass cold noodles-came in a small bowl with Ok flavor, probably won't get it again. The chili stir fried pork slices- good flavor, will order it again. The green bean eggplant- it's acceptable and will try it again. The frog leg- one of its signature dishes, it came in a big metal pan and the mini gas stove beneath keeps hot, it's good! It tasted like fish with tender meat, the flat flap is not the frog skin, it's tofu skin, LOL! Recommended for all to try. And three white rice. Totally tolerable spiciness. First time dining here, likely to return.

We were pleasantly surprised that the lunch AYCE price was $25/person. They have a self service model for most of the meats/veggies/noodles as well as the sauce bar. You can also order appetizers and thinly sliced meat through their QR code. There were some snacks near the sauce bar such as freshly fried mantou and shrimp chips as well as bing fen and fresh fruit for a refreshing end of the meal treat. Everything was super fresh. The meatballs and beef belly were especially good and the spicy broth had the perfect amount of spice and flavor to it. I definitely would come here again to eat! One of the items that you can order has a peanut topping on it and the host was considerate to notify us about it. Upon hearing that one of our party members was allergic to peanuts, they came back with some freshly made without the peanut on it. Such wonderful service.

However, SLICED proteins such as sliced ribeye beef, sliced prime USDA beef, and sliced pork are restricted to 3 dishes per order, must be order by request, and are prepared in the kitchen. Portions are small and not sufficient for two or more people. When we tried to order a second round, only two dishes arrived out of the 3. On the third attempt, nothing arrived at all. On top of that, the wait time for sliced proteins was extremely long. While the menu is promoted as AYCE, the service appears to intentionally slow down and limit access to the main protein items, which is misleading and disappointing.

When most people…read morethink of Chinese food, they picture either Americanized dishes (orange chicken, etc.) or Cantonese-style classics (dim sum, filet mignon, lobster noodles). But Hunan cuisine truly captures the bold, layered flavors of China -- fragrant, spicy, smoky, and deeply savory. We're so glad we found Red Chili Hunan in Rowland Heights. We used to drive all the way to SGV just to get good Hunan food, and now we don't have to. (We live in OC, so this is a win.) Don't let the chilies scare you, every dish is packed with flavor, not just heat. It's balanced, aromatic, and incredibly satisfying. Don't say no until you've tried it. Our go to dishes are the cucumbers with perilla leaves & preserved pork with celtuce smoky, crunchy, and so addictive. But honestly, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Highly recommend if you want real Chinese food.

It offers a generous portion of tender, juicy meat and springy, fresh noodles. "DELICIOUS!!" I arrived at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) on Sunday (around 11AM). Parking is easy. The lot is big with many spots. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, but Staff spoke limited English. Fortunately, pointing at the menu was clear enough. The food took eight minutes and nine seconds. Fast time! As mentioned, the Beef Rib Noodle Soup ($16.50 - Mild) is wonderful! It arrived picturesque and delicious!! However, despite ordering "mild," the food has a very strong heat; I sweat nonstop as I ate. The broth is rich, savory, and spicy. The meat is tender, flavorful, and falls off the bone. And the noodles are hefty, soft, and springy. It's a wonderful, euphoric combination of flavors and textures. Concerning ambiance, No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) is surprisingly spacious with its tall ceiling and relatively clean surroundings. However, its walls and furniture look worn down with time. Some seats even had torn holes. Unfortunately, the music uses radio with constant commercials playing in the background. Fortunately, there's a gender neutral restroom in the back. Overall, I found culinary magic at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights). The food is fresh, generously portioned, and well-prepared. I left full with a bright smile. If you enjoy spicy beef noodle soup, this is a must-try! 5 out of 5!! "GO!!"
