This spot is my family's go to for tasty and cheap Szechuan food in rowland. We have thoroughly enjoyed every dish we have ordered at this restaurant. My absolute favorite dish here tho is their specialty chicken in green pepper sauce that is so fragrant and tasty. I have never seen this dish anywhere else so I always try to order it when I come here. The food comes out really fast and the restaurant is never extremely busy, always just busy enough so the service is good too. Definitely give this place a try when you're in the area if you're craving some spicy, flavorful Szechuan food!

Recently just came back from a month long China trip and I was already missing Sichuan cuisine. I am so glad this is the first Chinese spot I visited back home because it took me right back Items ordered: Fried Rice, Couple's Beef in Chili Sauce, Shredded Pork in Garlic Sauce, Dan Dan Mian (not pictured) Fried Rice was decent portion for the price solid all around. The Shredded Pork dish was the table favorite and incredible portion for the price. On top of a bed of white rice, it's impossible to not go for another bite. The garlic and chili oil seeping into the rice and the comforting pork and green peppers combined. I've been thinking about eating this again for the past week haha Couple's Beef (cold dish): Of course to cool down from the Sichuan spice, a cold dish (but also soaked in chilis). This dish was decent and a nice neutral table appetizer. Dan Dan noodles were extremely tasty, I would've loved to get a bowl myself. Not overpowering on the sesame flavor, but just a nice balance between the spice. Noodles had the right chewy texture. Overall am excited to come back. Extremely reasonable prices for the portions and quality. Next time I will be trying a number of their other authentic Sichuan dishes. We ordered everything mild and it felt just about right for the table, but would love to go up on my own dishes.

TLDR; powerful taste, not shy on peppers, fast service This restaurant is located between Diamond Bar and San Gabriel Valley in a plaza with many other restaurants. I came here to see if I can find a Szechuan restaurant around here that can pack a punch and remind me of my time in Chengdu, and this restaurant did a decent job. The stir fried kidneys and picked vegetables with pork were both pretty good -- they had a good pinch of spice and go really well with rice. The boiled fish was good, although the fish slices themselves didn't have too much flavor (which is fair if it was freshly butchered fish; not much time to marinate). Good numbing, which is in concordance to Chengdu cuisine. The service was fast and the environment was nice. Not super loud (probably people were busy stuffing their face). Would come again!

First time trying Chengdu Taste! Comfy booths with QR code that you scan for menu and order from. Got regular spice level for both entrees (Boiled Fish with Green Pepper and Cumin Lamb). Please be prepared for the mouth numbing mala sensation! They do not mess around with the spice level. You do have to pay extra for rice ($1.50 per bowl). Both dishes were excellent with the boiled fish being lighter with veggies (bean sprouts, cucumber) but a deceptively numbing clear broth. Lamb was tender and flavorful. Friendly service. Can't wait to be back!

They finally reopened a few days ago. I am very happy with their food. Highly recommend this restaurant.

$10 per dish promotion on weekdays and weekends is a good deal! Ambiance is pretty good and both our waitresses and servers were friendly. Keep in mind their dishes tend to be more spicy, salty and oily due to their specialty and cooking ingredients.

Nice experience. I visited Chengdu Taste in Vegas first and pretty interested to visit the one here in Rowland heights. The food is amazing as always. The chicken with the chilly sauce is a must have. My friend and I were blown away by it. The food here was spicy but in a good way. The service was great, we were greeted and seated right away the moment we walked in. You can put the order in with QR code menu which is self-explanatory and awesome. This place is so authentic you can see mainly Asian customers here. Located in Hongkong market plaza. Nice and quiet location with enough parking spaces. Definitely worth another visit.

The food was not for me. I did not like the numbing effect on my tongue. However, that's just me. My wife on the other hand loved the dishes we ordered. Service was good and the restaurant was clean. One thing i definitely do not like is that the hot dishes were served in plastic bowls and plastic spoons. Food presentation was great. The plastic cheapens the effect.

We came here on a Saturday around 5 PM and didn't have to wait long. The dishes were flavorful and truly unique, with tastes that stood out from the usual. Service was attentive and welcoming, and the modern décor gave the whole place a stylish vibe. Overall, a great dining experience!

Had dinner here with friends. We ordered several dishes. Fish in peppercorn sauce - very numby and tasty. The prawns with chill were served hot and were plump and juicy. The green beans included ground beef so not vegan but nice. The lamb and cumin were the best. Service is fast, they are set up with a QR code to scan at every table that links you to their online menu. It's located in a typical Chinese American strip mall with a clean and ethnic feel. 5 stars!

Such affordable prices for amazing Sichuan food. It's no wonder the original location is Michelin Bib Gourmand! As a Sichuanese person, it's the most tasty Sichuan food I've had in the U.S. The owners were super friendly too and we were able to ask for less spice for my grandparents. The food came in about 10 minutes too which is crazy fast. I'll be back every time I'm in SGV!

This is our go to place for Chengdu food, which is like a supercharged Chinese food where the taste is elevated by the smorgasbord of spices. Everything we've tried is super tasty but some of them are not for the faint of heart (or stomach for that matter). The fish soup with green pepper has very tender fish chunks that are cooked to perfection. It's medium to hot spicy and very addictive. There's plenty of bean sprouts and some thinly sliced cucumber like greens as well. The fried rice with smoked pork is oh so tasty and flavorful, and not spicy at all which provides a good balance for the other spicy dishes. Mapo tofu is really good and maybe one of the best out there, and only mildly spicy. Best to be eaten with steamed rice. Service is prompt and food comes out quickly. Order through the app by scanning the QR code on the table. Good portion with plenty of leftovers which are still good for the next day or so. Inside the atmosphere is quite festive with music and nice decorations which is a contrast to the plain exterior. Overall the place is clean and pleasant, with seating along the sides and a couple of big round tables in the middle of the room.

    Spice much?

Chengdu Taste is serving up some delicious Chinese food. Chengdu is a city in China where it is famous for pandas and spicy cuisine. If you like the super spicy and sour taste that is a little bit numbing on your younger, you found the place. Came here with a few friends to eat in Rowland Heights for lunchtime. Different parties of people were here from small to about eight people. My favorite dish from here is the fish with chili, deep-fried chicken knuckles, and their mung bean noodles with chili sauce. I think a ton of the dishes are mainly spicy but I do see little children coming here and enjoying the meal. You probably can adjust the spice level as well to tone it down a little bit. Service is quick and the food comes out super fast! I don't know how they do it but everything was so enjoyable with me and my friends.
