We've developed favorites in several cities, particularly when it comes to authentic Texas-style BBQ. Since moving to Arizona, we've enjoyed exploring the local BBQ scene, including Little Miss BBQ. However, after our first visit to Caldwell County BBQ, we can confidently say we've found our new local favorite! From the moment we walked through the door, the experience was exceptional. We were greeted by Mason, who immediately made us feel welcome. When he learned it was our first visit, he took the time to explain the ordering process, describe the different meats, and share his personal recommendations. Even as the line grew behind us, he never made us feel rushed. He treated us as though we were the only guests there. Mason offered samples of the beef rib, brisket, and sausage, all of which were outstanding. He genuinely wanted us to experience the flavors before ordering. He explained that everything is served à la carte and prepared fresh daily. His enthusiasm was especially noticeable when describing the banana pudding, made fresh at 5 a.m. with bananas, homemade custard, and smoked vanilla beans. That attention to detail immediately impressed us. We ordered a pound of brisket, pulled pork and brisket sliders, green chile mac and cheese, corn casserole, pinto beans, and two absolutely massive beef ribs served with house-made chimichurri. The beef ribs were phenomenal! Incredibly tender, flavorful, and slightly sweeter than the brisket, they were easily among the best we've ever had. The chimichurri was equally impressive, bursting with fresh herbs and peppers. We honestly could have put it on everything! The green chile mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy, with just enough chile flavor without overwhelming heat. The corn casserole was rich, thick, and buttery, while the pinto beans were perfectly tender with a subtle smokiness that wasn't buried under excessive seasoning. The brisket had beautiful bark, exceptional flavor, and was incredibly juicy without relying on excessive fat. The sliders, served on salted pretzel buns, may have been small enough to fit in your palm, but they were generously packed with meat. Don't underestimate them! For dessert, we enjoyed the banana pudding and sheet cake. The pudding was perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. Learning that the vanilla beans are smoked and the wafers are buttered, baked, and layered into the pudding made us appreciate it even more. The sheet cake featured a tender layer of cake topped with rich fudge frosting and walnuts. Both were a wonderful ending to an incredible meal. But as exceptional as the food was, what truly set Caldwell County apart was the hospitality. Mason made a point to check on us during our meal, genuinely interested in hearing about our experience. That simple gesture meant a great deal. Throughout our visit, it was obvious that the entire team takes tremendous pride not only in the quality of their food but also in how they treat their guests. There is a meaningful difference between serving customers and making people feel genuinely valued. Caldwell County understands that difference. Every interaction felt personal, sincere, and unhurried. We never felt like another transaction or simply the next people in line. We felt appreciated, and that is something we'll remember long after the meal. In fact, before we had even finished eating, we were already telling family, friends, and fellow BBQ enthusiasts about our experience! Having enjoyed BBQ throughout the country, we can confidently place Caldwell County among our absolute favorites. The quality, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality make this restaurant something special. We're already looking forward to returning next week with friends visiting from out of town. We sincerely hope Mason is there because we'd love for them to experience the same exceptional hospitality we received. To Mason and the entire Caldwell County team: Thank you for reminding us what genuine hospitality looks like. You've gained loyal customers, and we couldn't be happier to have discovered you here in Arizona! If we could give you a 20 out of 10, we absolutely would. Outstanding in every way!

This is by far the BEST Korean BBQ restaurant I have EVER been to. My previous favorite KBBQ used to be Gen Korean BBQ House, but they have been a massive let down as of lately. This is 100% my new go to KBBQ spot. Extremely affordable pricing for the quality and selection of food you get. $31 per person for all you can eat KBBQ, and for an additional $5 you can add all you can hot pot to that. There is an unlimited and free snack bar that has a bunch of different sides (my favorite being the gyoza), and there are even free deserts there too (all phenomenal and highly recommended). There is also a sauce bar that has I think close to almost 20 different sauces to pick and choose from. All of the food was extremely fresh and amazing. The restaurant was extremely clean, the atmosphere was amazing, and the music from the DJ wasn't too loud but you could still hear it while holding normal conversations which was very nice. This was also the first time I have ever gone to a Korean BBQ restaurant where you would order with an iPad. It made it so easy to look through all of the options on their menu and choose exactly how many orders of each food item you wanted! I think by far the best part of the experience had to come from my server Jake. Jake was extremely attentive and hospitable. Every single time my drink was about half full, he would notice and asked if I would like a refill (which every time I indeed need a refill as I was going to finish the rest of my soda very quickly). He explained everything about the place and the menu in great detail, and even made a ton of amazing recommendations for food. I have never had hot pot before, so he was even able to provide a great description of what each of the broths tasted like so that I could figure out which one of those would be my preferred broth (which ended up being his recommendation of the Golden Chicken broth). Any time we needed something from him, he was there and we never had to wait long for him to come back either. To make things even better than it could have been already, I actually took my mom here on her birthday because she said she wanted to eat Korean BBQ. I had spent a ton of time researching new places to go to since Gen BBQ was no longer a place I would visit, and so I was extremely relieved when I learned they were open today. My brother had arrived a bit before my mom and I did, and he told us that unfortunately they cannot do anything for birthdays unless you are a party of 4. This was a bit unfortunate, but obviously didn't ruin anything for us since we were never expecting it to begin with. Towards the end of our dinner though, Jake came out with several other staff holding this massive LED sign and a slice of cheesecake to sing a special happy birthday! I have a video of it but could not upload it as I can only upload images, but it truly was such a great surprise! If you get Jake as your server, just know you are in great hands and can expect an amazing experience! I am a strong believer that tipping culture is ridiculous and you genuinely have to work to earn a tip. I'll say Jake GENUINELY earned that tip, I have rarely experienced the type of service and attention that he provided and I do not think I could have gotten a better server than him whatsoever. 10/10 experience 10/10 food 10/10 atmosphere 10/10 worth the money 11/10 if you get Jake as your server Side note: Please disregard Teresa A's wrongful 1* review. Not only did they not even eat at the restaurant, but they gave this place a 1* review simply because they were not opened on the predicted opening day. After speaking with the owner, he explained that they tried to do a test run before opening (because who in their right mind would not want to test everything works?) and after turning all the grills in the restaurant on, all the circuits were popped. This is a completely justified reason for not opening on the originally planned opening day, as they need to ensure everything will be perfect for the consumers. On top of that, I was frequently checking yesterday to see if they were open because I really wanted to bring my mom here for her birthday and knew if they were open yesterday, they would definitely be open today. Google Maps quite literally showed that KPOT was "Temporarily Closed" when I looked it up. I would understand a 1* review for a bad experience, but not for the restaurant having to do emergency maintenance before opening. read more

I am beyond disappointed to write this, especially since we have been frequent regulars here, but our latest experience was absolutely unacceptable. What used to be a go-to spot has completely gone downhill. The issues started immediately with the service and cleanliness. The restrooms were filthy, and the service was incredibly disorganized. The food took forever to arrive, and we weren't even given basic ladles or bowls for our hotpot--we had to track our waiter down just to get the essentials. We also had to ask twice just to get our grill changed out. To make matters worse, they tried to overcharge us for drinks that were clearly ordered during happy hour. When we pointed it out, the attitude didn't improve. Then, despite there being at least 15 open tables and only one person waiting at the front, our waiter told us that we've hit a "2-hour limit" and relayed that the manager asked us to leave because people were waiting. It's not okay that they interrupted our meal prior to the 2 hour limit to give us the check and asked us to pay - we should've been given the full 2 hours to enjoy our meal. Had the service not been so slow, had our waiter been more attentive and had we not have to stop eating to dispute the bill that was brought to our table prematurely, the 2 hours limit wouldn't have been an issue. The most serious issue, however, was the food safety. All the "hot" appetizers--the egg rolls, fried shrimp, and fried chicken--were served cold. Unsurprisingly, our entire group ended up with food poisoning after this meal. This was a blatant violation of health regulations. It is ridiculous to treat loyal customers this way and it's never okay to disregard health regulations. We will be reporting this establishment to the appropriate health authorities. This is one establishment that we will not be coming back to and we'll be sure to let everyone we know to stay away as well. read more

+ K-Pop Korean BBQ - A Must-Visit Experience! From the moment we walked into K-Pop Korean Barbecue, we were greeted with a warm, welcoming smile that set the tone for the entire evening. The atmosphere was upbeat, friendly, and full of energy -- the perfect blend of modern comfort with a fun K-pop vibe that truly brings the place to life. The service was top-notch -- attentive without being overbearing, and the staff were incredibly helpful in walking us through the menu and grill options. They checked in frequently to make sure everything was perfect, and it always was. Now let's talk about the food -- absolutely incredible. The variety of meats, seafood, and sides was impressive. Every cut was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The marinades were bold and authentic, and the grill-at-your-table setup made for a fun, interactive dining experience. The banchan (side dishes) were delicious and constantly refilled without even needing to ask. And don't skip the dipping sauces -- each one was packed with flavor. From start to finish, everything was beyond expectations -- from the moment you walk in to the moment you roll out completely satisfied. Whether you're a Korean BBQ lover or trying it for the first time, K-Pop delivers an unforgettable meal that's worth every penny. Highly recommend this place for families, date nights, group outings, or anyone who enjoys great food and even better hospitality. We'll definitely be back again soon! read more

I brought my mom to KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot because TikTok had a promotional price on the app -- and honestly, it turned into such a sweet little moment. It was our first time here, and my mom had never tried Korean BBQ before, so she didn't know what to expect. She ended up loving the buffet section and the menu, especially all the veggies and sides she could pick herself. They give you so much food, and the cook‑at‑your‑booth concept feels fun, interactive, and a little boujee if you lean into it. You just pick and choose from the menu, everything comes out fresh, and you grill it right at your table. I thought it was worth the price, even though I don't eat a lot -- as Calvin Klein once said, the key to looking young is staying slim. Okay Diva? Our server was super helpful and patient, especially with my mom since it was her first time. They explained everything clearly, checked on us often, and made sure we had what we needed without hovering. The broths were flavorful, the meats were tender, and the whole experience felt smooth and easy. KPOT isn't trying to be a Michelin star moment -- but it is giving generous portions, fun vibes, and a great intro to Korean BBQ for anyone who's never tried it. For the price, the experience, and the memory with my mom, it's absolutely worth it. read more

Move over, every other restaurant in the East Valley -- KPOT in Mesa just grilled the competition and boiled our taste buds into pure happiness. My family and I rolled in like a hungry herd, ready to conquer all-you-can-eat hot pot and KBBQ -- and folks, KPOT did not disappoint. Enter Aryen: our MVP server, hydration hero, and meat magician. The man had Spidey senses for empty drinks -- I swear my cup never dropped below 80% before he was there refilling it like a hydration ninja. Plates of meat and veggies arrived faster than we could even argue over sauce combos. Now let's talk food -- the quality was top-tier. We're talking marbled beef so tender it practically wrote love letters to our taste buds. The broth? Bold enough to slap your soul but comforting like grandma's hug. KPOT's flavor game is stronger than my Wi-Fi signal. In short, this place crushed it. It's officially our new go-to for hot pot/KBBQ cravings. Goodbye Tempe and Chandler -- Mesa's got the crown now. And Aryen? Someone give that man a raise and a cape. He's the unsung superhero of our dinner. KPOT, we'll be back -- hungry and ready to eat like it's our full-time job. read more

Danny was such an amazing server. I had such an amazing experience at this KBBQ restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt lively and inviting, with that perfect balance of comfort and excitement. The quality of the meats was outstanding--fresh, flavorful, and so fun to cook right at the table. What really made this place stand out, though, was the unique addition of hotpot alongside the traditional Korean BBQ. Having both options in one meal was such a fun and interactive experience. Being able to grill delicious meats while also enjoying a warm, flavorful broth filled with veggies, noodles, and more created the perfect combination. It felt like the best of both worlds, and it made the meal feel even more special and memorable. The staff was attentive and friendly, always making sure we had everything we needed and helping guide us through the experience. Overall, it wasn't just a meal--it was something interactive, cozy, and genuinely fun. I would absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and delicious dining experience! read more

KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot was such a fun experience! The quality of the food was excellent, and there were so many options to choose from. My favorites were the pork belly, beef brisket, and beef tongue brisket. Everything cooked up perfectly at the table and tasted fresh and flavorful. I also loved how many additional items were available. There was a huge selection, so it's easy to try something new every visit. Whether you're coming for Korean BBQ, hot pot, or both, there's something for everyone. The biggest highlight was the service. Acryan was our server, and he was absolutely amazing. Even though he seemed to be running the entire floor, he never made us feel forgotten or neglected. He stayed on top of refills, checked in at the perfect times, and kept everything running smoothly with such a positive attitude. Service like that makes all the difference. I came in to dine shortly after they opened and was greeted and seated right away. I ordered the Beef Combo 1 and opted for the small portion. It comes with brisket, beef belly, marinated boneless short ribs, bulgogi, kimchi or soybean paste stew, and steamed egg. At first, I questioned the portion size and wondered if the small would be enough, but honestly, it ended up being the perfect amount for the price. Definitely a bang for your buck, especially since you also get unlimited rice and banchan! They say you eat with your eyes first, and the quality of the meat immediately made a great first impression. Everything looked so fresh and beautifully prepared. From the banchan and stew to the meat and steamed egg, everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I was genuinely surprised..dare I say, blown away! The customer service was also top notch. I didn't feel rushed to eat and get out of there either. They let me take my time eat/grill at my own pace which I greatly appreciated. I definitely have to come back before I head out of town. Our waiter was very kind and helpful -- he helped us cook the meat, checked on us, and even recommended a popular matcha place for my sister. The food was really good, especially the cold noodles, which were perfect for the Arizona weather. It was a little pricey, but I felt like it was worth it because the food, service, and overall experience were all great. We enjoyed it so much that we actually came back a second time before heading home. Definitely a place I would recommend!

The service was great, even though the restaurant was packed, the waiter would come and checked on my table often. Usually with AYCE, I get Beef brisket, beef belly, spicy beef belly, and spicy bulgogi. All of these items were delicious! Also got some Pork ribs as well. There wasn't any dish that I didn't like. I also love the soondubu. Tip: ask for less tofu if you want more of the broth to go with the meat as you eat instead of being full from the tofu. They also have many sauces you can try to dip your meat in. I got the garlic sauce, spicy sauce, and bean paste. All were great! The menu is extensive, there were many items I would love to try but I was too full. I will be back to try more!

Instead of listening to the questions he kept answering with whatever he wanted to say. "5 fit in the booth" "yes they do" "if you don't want it than that's fine" when we were trying to get two tables for our party to accommodate someone larger in the group. The whole interaction started when him checking the name and shutting down the initial request to speak to him with "____ yeah you've already checked in" and started speaking to another group behind us.

I was not disappointed. The restaurant is pristine, which I would expect of a brand new place. Service was quick and attentive, which isn't always the case at a soft opening. The place was packed with large groups, but they still served me very quickly as a solo diner. Food was up to the standard of Strings, though I would have liked the broth a teeny bit warmer. Overall, a good meal. I'll be back.

I had their tonkotsu broth with black garlic which added additional umami flavor which I would recommend adding. The broth was great, but the texture of the ramen was where I wanted a little more elevated vs. these traditional noodles, but that's a personal preference. As for the charsu, the slice of pork was very fatty, just wish it had some meat on it. Overall 8/10 Would definitely come back for the convenience exception ramen

They even have a little robo-server delivering some dishes. Food: 4-stars - I really enjoyed the carpaccio options they had as well as the shrimp tempura. However, the gyoza was double or triple fried and tasted horribly. Can't believe they actually served it like that to their paid customers to be honest. And the agedashi tofu was not fried at all so it was completely mushy which is not how I expected it. Other than that, the other dishes/options were pretty good. Definitely ate more than my price of admission - worth it! Ambiance was nice, bright and clean looking. Would definitely come back and recommend if you're a sushi lover!

Got sat pretty quick and staffs were friendly. AYCE price for dinner is $34.98 lunch is $26.98. Typical rules, 2 hours, eat what you order and dishes per order. Ordered miso soup, seaweed salad, vegetable tempura and few other sushi. Tempura was tasty and piping hot. Miso soup was also pretty good along with seaweed salad. I like that Salmon roe sushi was bite size small. Over all the sushi weren't bad but the rice was bit on the sat around /undercooked on some part of the rice. Over all fish was OK on the quality but you get what you pay for. I did not try some of the other side menu items due to not being able to over stuff myself like I used to. If you are in the area and want to stuff yourself with not to bad sushi this place might work. I personally would not come back for the quality and price for the food.
