Ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. The sides were the baked beans, red beans and rice, greens, fried mushrooms, and the mac n cheese. The ribs were cooked nice, some smoke on them, and when you bite into them you left teeth marks which is a good sign for ribs. Maybe just a little more cooking them but either way they were still good. The brisket was good, tender, but they could use some more smoke on them, and I don't know if they have the fatty brisket since they didn't ask us and there was none in there. The fatty brisket is always tender and flavorful if cooked right. The pulled pork could use some more smoke and were a little dry. The sausage tasted really good but they had no smoke flavor and they looked like they were grilled. The mac n cheese looked and tasted like box mac n cheese, not very good or close to it at all. The baked beans tasted really good and the meat in it was flavorful. The red beans and rice was not good at all. The flavor on them was something that I couldn't figure out. Beans should have some souther flavor to them. The greens were just okay as well, they needed some seasiong to them. The fried mushrooms were really good as well.

This is the B&B you've seen in romantic comedies 100s of times. Two people, in a quaint college town discussing quirky similarities whilst escaping the pressures of their urban realities... An escape. A place to reflect and grow. To celebrate. Together. "Oh look, there's a nest of blue birds with their new hatchlings. What a special place; such a memorable experience I will never forget..", said Sandra Bullock/Kirsten Dunst/Elizabeth Taylor Oh, and their breakfasts are amazing! Always unique, always pleasing, the culinary creations come from the passionate hands of a former Chicago chef that migrated from the Windy City to the Woo Town because he fell in love with the charm and allure of real, palpable community. Ask him about it. It's an incredible story. Book this inn for your next trip to Wooster. While most inns provide acceptable accommodations and breakfast the next morning, the Black Squirrel Inn raises the stakes with its steadfast devotion to comfort, incredible attention-to-detail, and excellent eats.

It's a big restaurant off of a country road with plenty of parking. As of two weeks ago they were doing work on the highway that was kind of unpleasant with grated roads and lane closures but it looks like it will be done soon maybe.... Anyway, it's a large space with a gift shop and shabby chic decor that all appeared to be for sale since everything has a price tag on it even in the restaurant. The service was pleasant enough. The menu has fairly straightforward cafe like offerings of sandwiches and salads. I wanted something light so I opted for the cesar salad in spite of my reservations when it said tomatoes and olives were on it. Weird but whatever chicken, lettuce, croutons and cesar dressing still felt on brand so I went for it. This is not a cesar salad. It was a salad with balsamic dressing of some kind, toasted bread with the crust cut off and a cold chicken breast. And, it comes with bread but I was told they didn't have rye so I ended up with sourdough that was also not sourdough and the waitperson didn't bring it until I was mostly through eating my refrigerator cold chicken. Just, yikes. Additionally, I still don't know how there was rye for my sister's sandwich but I wasn't allowed to order it with my food. As for her lunch, the pastrami was fine but with a lackluster amount of meat. The French onion soup was the only thing that felt reasonable with quality and price. All in all, I think the snack bars or even grocery stores in the area/ Amish country appeared to have better offerings. I wouldn't recommend this place for lunch. The gift shop was cute and reasonably priced so maybe check it out for that but that's it.

Always delicious and beautiful setting for lunch. Crowded most of the time so make a reservation…read more The French onion soup is great
