Our rooms were luxurious and comfortable, and obviously meticulously cared for. Genevieve served us a decadent, made to order breakfast (including her wonderful homemade scones!). The B&B is perfectly situated for a visit to College of Wooster--walking distance up the hill to campus as well as down the hill to the sweet downtown area. I highly recommend!

I have stayed in village hostels outside of America and this is the only thing I can compare it to. I felt much more like a family friend than a guest or customer. The hosts were very flexible with my check-in time and really went out of their way to accommodate my needs. The house is 167 years old and in awesome condition. Plumbing and lighting is all in perfect working order. You get plenty of personal space and access to several common areas. Free wifi was pretty fast. There were complimentary beverages, snacks, cookies, chocolates (CHOCOLATES!), and breakfast made to order. Wooster is small, charming, yet pretty hip town. There are several good places to eat within walking distance and the locals are were happy to show me around. This was in winter, probably the dead season, but I really enjoyed my stay. When you include the amenities, the stay greatly exceeded expectations when it comes to value. Highly recommend staying here and I'd return in a heart-beat!

The…read more"castle" vibe is mostly just hallways and rooms -- no secret passages, no grand exploring, just... doors. Lots of doors. The person working the front desk was friendly and looked like she was doing 3 jobs at once. The bartender was fast efficient and made great cocktails. Some of our concerns go to more managerial issues. As an example, the heat in our room did not work and our room was as cold as the outside. Being middle of January we were literally sitting in our rooms in hats, gloves and coats. The staff did bring up some space heaters to help raise the temperature, which eventually worked. The wine pairing dinner we attended was just ok, but at 70 dollars a person I would expect more than using small plastic cups for the pairings. The food itself was really good, so my compliments to the chef. If the room price was more reasonable and not 450 per night I would be less critical. The cost just didn't match the expectation

The home was built for the Gillis, well-known and wealthy Cleveland family, in 1863. Then, 25 years ago, the home was converted into a bed and breakfast, and 5 years after that, the first floor was converted into a tea room. Every inch is covered in sweet, kitch decor, and tea is for sale at reasonable prices. I can't say enough good things about this tea room. They were so accommodating for our large group and Katie, one of our servers, provided us a run down of the history of the building and business as well as everything that was included in our $25 High Tea experience. Two different types of tea were offered and the meal consisted of a soup or salad, a slice of quiche and fruit, a selection of three tea sandwiches, a scone, banana bread, and an assortment of desserts to finish it all off. It was a lot of food, all delicious and homemade, that was spread out over 2 hours of fun conversation. My favorites of all the food were the scones and Panna cotta. If you don't live in the area, try the bed and breakfast instead of your typical hotel for your next stay in cleveland! And if you are a tea lover, come here for a lovely and fun High Tea experience!
