We have been going to Donna's for YEARS and it is a fabulous B&B. We love having the option to lodge in the woods to be away from the visitors or have a lodge right in the middle of it all to have easy access to shops and food. Additionally, the B&B offers a delicious breakfast that can be brought to your accommodations. I love that it always smells clean and fresh when you walk in. We were not sure what to think regarding the Romancing the Stone cabin but it exceeded our expectations. The cabin is three stories tall and has a waterfall inside on the bottom floor. Very impressive when you enter I must say. The second floor has a wonderful kitchen and fireplace to cozy up to. The top floor has a reading nook and king sized bed. The house has beautiful wooden beams throughout which gives the place a very'homey' feeling. We ordered the cheese platter and chocolate dipped strawberries upon arrival and were very impressed by both. The cheese platter was filled to the brim with assorted cheeses and sliced meats with a sweet mustard. It came with a bottle of semi sweet wine. The strawberries were enormous and very tasty. We had breakfast delivered versus the grab and go and it was amazing. All in all it was a great experience and I highly recommend staying here. read more

Donna's was an amazing getaway. It's going to be hard to surpass this experience. Lacie had great suggestions for dinner. My husband and I where reluctant to end our weekend getaway. What a great place. We found the cabin spacious and relaxing. It is well cared for and clean. There is a lot of attention to detail and the people are helpful and friendly. The only recommendation we would make is for there to be better lighting as it was dim even with all the lights on. One afternoon we were playing a game. A window was open and we heard a rustling outside. Looking out we saw a number of wild turkeys casually walking by, foraging in the forest. read more

Set up a weekend getaway for the Wife and I. The staffing was extremely polite and helpful! We were very impressed with the chalet and how clean it was! It was a home away from home. Definitely no complaints about Donna's. We stayed in Chalet 1 for a couple nights and it was just about perfect. Comfortable King bed, Jacuzzi tub for two, remote-control operated fireplace. Nice all around. There may not be a ton to do in the area, but this is not a destination stop, this is a stay-in-your-cabin and relax stop. Everyone at Donna's was super friendly and very helpful. We got the hot breakfast one morning and it was too much to finish it as so big. It sure was tasty, though. The continental breakfast offered at the office is nothing to sneeze about either, they have some nice offerings there. Can't wait to head back here in the future and maybe try some other properties that Donna's has. read more

I stayed in one of the suites (bridal, although I'm not a bride lol) for two nights. Such a beautiful, peaceful, romantic place! There were candles and rose petals on the jacuzzi tub and rose petals on the bed. Beautiful deck overlooking a rock waterfall stream, remote control fireplace etc. The staff at Donna's was very friendly and accommodating!! What a lovely place (both the suite we stayed in and the town). Our first visit to Berlin. We stayed at Bridal Suite #2. The hot breakfast was delicious. The hot tub! I only wish we had one in our house, haha. The fireplace was also nice for the cold November nights. My one complaint is that the bed had an end table on only one side, which was strange. Great little shops along the main road as well. Friendly and helpful staff as well. read more

We are back for yet another amazing stay at Donna's. We normally stay in one of her chalets but this time we decided to stay in 1 of her Cedar cabins. This place is absolutely gorgeous and clean as if it was the same day built. It is spotless! Stayed in a chalet. It was cozy, peaceful, and romantic. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast, which was brought in a basket to our door, was also pretty tasty. My Fiancee and i stayed here for a few days in June and it was our first time being able to spend time alone and get away from all the headache of wedding planning, we rented ceder cabin 6 and we were NOT disappointed the pictures dont fully describe how amazing it is. Our cabin had a pool table in it and be both love to play pool so we spent most of our time inside playing we also took advantage of some of the extra amenities Donna's offers like couples massage, chocolate covered strawberries, and rose petals, Now while these were and added cost it is well worth the money. The town surrounding Donna's is nice great shops and the people are friendly. There is alot to see and do from visiting Breitenbach Wine Cellars, to visiting Guggisberg cheese factory. the scenery is amazing there. Donnas Premere Lodging is as good as it gets we WILL be back!! read more

Stayed in Chalet #2. Not ashamed to say that I actually cried when I got home because nothing was going to be the same. I can't wait to go back. My fiancé and I spent the weekend in a Villa last summer. We lost AT&T cell service near Berlin and hit a detour, but finally made our way to the office to check in. The "wow" factor for customer service was so wonderful and so detailed from beginning to end. We were greeted, given all information we would need for the weekend, and directed to our villa. As soon as we walked into the villa, everything was absolutely beautiful and so incredibly clean and inviting. We unpacked our things, and went exploring for all of the notes and instructions left throughout the villa, answering all of our questions. We walked to East Of Chicago Pizza for a quick dinner, and spent the rest of the evening snacking on the cookies and sparkling juice they had provided, and relaxing in the jacuzzi. The area is so peaceful, and as soon as we awoke, we headed over to the main office to eat breakfast. The cooks were amazing, and breakfast was perfect. There was music playing and cafe tables to eat in the lobby, or could be taken back to your villa. After breakfast we headed out for a long day of shopping. We picked up some groceries at a local market, and we were able to cook out on the grill and enjoy dinner outside in a private area at the villa! On our last night we spent time reminiscing on the balcony overlooking the town. Other people who had stayed in the villa had written in a journal about their experience, and it was so exciting to read about others' trips! After our last night, we enjoyed our final breakfast at Donna's, when I realized that I hadn't printed directions for the way home! The staff was so attentive and printed directions to help us get home. I recommend this b&b above all others! read more
