I think she may be a little clairvoyant, because Charlie anticipated our every need, and few we didn't even know we even had! Our every request and whim was fulfilled before, during, and after our stay, and if Charlie couldn't provide something, she knew someone who could, including her wonderful husband John. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, with breathtaking views that changed with the weather or time of day. Each breakfast was more spectacular than the last, and we could have spent the rest of our days sitting on our balconies. But Charlie encouraged us to get out and about and see all that Hartville has to offer. Restaurants, wineries, farms, antiques stores, specialty shops, and some amazing second-hand stores awaited us, and we enjoyed each and every one of them. So per instructions I stopped by the Dari Delite, grabbed a bite to eat for dinner (this was included in my room fee) and was then taken to the B&B. The house was neat and clean, it did smell a bit musty upon walking through the front door, but upstairs was fine. I had beverages and cookies in my room to enjoy, a small TV and a private bath. Available WI-Fi is at the restaurant, not at the B&B. In the morning, I went down to the Dari Delite for breakfast, free of charge for B&B guests, where I checked out with Linda, proprietress. I'd stay here again if my work travels bring me this direction. The proprietress and restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. Nothing fancy but a nice small town feel at a very reasonable price.

We were here in the peak fall color viewing time so it was a little slow getting around. I imagine it's always a little slow all year with all the bikes, buggy's, and tourists. Lots to do and see in the area. We were lucky enough to be here during the towns annual garage sale, so we spent some time shopping these. I bet you would be hard pressed to find someone with a bad disposition around here, everyone seemed quite content with there own pace of life they have sit for themselves. If you are lucky enough to book a room here, make sure you tell them I said hello, they are not the type to read things on line.

It's new, and it's the only B&B in Berea, with the quaint downtown square right around the corner. The owners are quick to respond to any problems, the location is fantastic, the beds are good. Even the *towels* here are top-notch. When I checked to make sure I didn't have down pillows, I found brand new allergy shield pillow covers on high-quality synthetic pillows. When you stay in a B&B in an old Victorian or heritage home, usually that means dealing with a tiny bathroom, undersized shower, and so on; the beautiful old home that houses Riverside Gables was completely renovated in fall 2012, with nice big showers, new fixtures, and new floors. Guests even have a sitting room, with a kitchenette and fridge, Keurig coffee machine, spare dishes, and (my favorite) electric kettle and teapots for tea. Glass bottles of water are kept chilled for the use of the guests, and it was great to have that bottle of water to take to my room (and also not feel like I was wasting a plastic bottle just to have something cold to drink.) There's also a separate back door for guests. Breakfast has been excellent: fruit salad to start, juice, a beautiful omelette the first time I stayed and a Belgian waffle this morning. The owners have a beautiful Golden Retriever, but he is not allowed in the B&B portion of the house. Catherine is lovely to talk to, knowledgeable about the area, and responsive to the needs and preferences of her guests. If business brings me back to the area, I will *definitely* put this place at the top of my list.

Old is okay but unclean is not. Simple food is okay but poor quality food at improper temperature is not. A single fresh fruit is better than a mush blend of dissolving fruit. I thought I was treating myself by booking here.... Can you go buy some real food for tomorrow's breakfast? Please? Pros: Friendly staff, quick service, nice desk and lamps, comfortable furniture and plenty of space in the suite.

Vicki and her staff are so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We had a delicious breakfast each morning with coffee and wonderful conversation with other guests. The library was so interesting with the painted shades, historical information, photos and books. We stayed in the Adeline Room which is upstairs. Bed was comfy and a clawfoot tub in the bathroom. Close to everything we wanted to see on the National Park adventure. Quick walk to the Brandywine Falls as well. Great time, loved staying here and definitely would be back!
