I think she may be a little clairvoyant, because Charlie anticipated our every need, and few we didn't even know we even had! Our every request and whim was fulfilled before, during, and after our stay, and if Charlie couldn't provide something, she knew someone who could, including her wonderful husband John. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, with breathtaking views that changed with the weather or time of day. Each breakfast was more spectacular than the last, and we could have spent the rest of our days sitting on our balconies. But Charlie encouraged us to get out and about and see all that Hartville has to offer. Restaurants, wineries, farms, antiques stores, specialty shops, and some amazing second-hand stores awaited us, and we enjoyed each and every one of them. We were welcomed with open arms by Charlie and John, and everyone in the community, and will carry the memories we made with them in our hearts forever. Highly recommend!

Clay said grace and Joyanne said about everything else. Just a wonderful couple, full of stories and inquisitive about our lives. She wrote a book about there experiences with the local Amish and told stories of how they used to drive them around. This part of Ohio is all gentle rolling hills with plenty of farmland. We were here in the peak fall color viewing time so it was a little slow getting around. I imagine it's always a little slow all year with all the bikes, buggy's, and tourists. Lots to do and see in the area. We were lucky enough to be here during the towns annual garage sale, so we spent some time shopping these. I bet you would be hard pressed to find someone with a bad disposition around here, everyone seemed quite content with there own pace of life they have sit for themselves. If you are lucky enough to book a room here, make sure you tell them I said hello, they are not the type to read things on line.

We stayed in the Studio Lodge. It was spacious with a full kitchen and separate bedroom. An assortment of snacks and drinks were provided. Breakfast was a feast - French toast, eggs, bacon, muffins, fresh fruit and coffee. Pat & Tom are charming and easy to talk with. Whoever visits the CVE B&B is very fortunate. May God bless.

I found Bonnie Dwaine through Yelp, and I am so glad that we chose to stay here! From the moment we arrived, the house was perfect for our stay. Our room was on the third floor, and was renovated with a king sized bed. The bed was extremely comfy, the space was large, and we had our own bathroom as well. We chose this space for the king bed, but although it was very nice it was missing the vintage/historic feel of the other rooms located on the second floor. This room was HUGE, and would be great for a family. If we stay again, I would love to spend time in one of the other rooms, they were all so beautiful and historic. Bonnie was a fantastic host. She was so kind, friendly, and extremely thoughtful. She had a lovely home, and took great pride in making her guests feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast that was served was fantastic, and she even made us breakfast for the morning that we slept in, and had it sitting out for us with a note when we were finally able to make it downstairs to the dining room. 5 stars for the bed and breakfast, 5 stars for friendly Bonnie, and 5 stars for the location! Amazing Mexican restaurant nearby, and the Moundsville museum is free to guests - located minutes from B&B.

It's new, and it's the only B&B in Berea, with the quaint downtown square right around the corner. The owners are quick to respond to any problems, the location is fantastic, the beds are good. Even the *towels* here are top-notch. When I checked to make sure I didn't have down pillows, I found brand new allergy shield pillow covers on high-quality synthetic pillows. When you stay in a B&B in an old Victorian or heritage home, usually that means dealing with a tiny bathroom, undersized shower, and so on; the beautiful old home that houses Riverside Gables was completely renovated in fall 2012, with nice big showers, new fixtures, and new floors. Guests even have a sitting room, with a kitchenette and fridge, Keurig coffee machine, spare dishes, and (my favorite) electric kettle and teapots for tea. Glass bottles of water are kept chilled for the use of the guests, and it was great to have that bottle of water to take to my room (and also not feel like I was wasting a plastic bottle just to have something cold to drink.) There's also a separate back door for guests. Breakfast has been excellent: fruit salad to start, juice, a beautiful omelette the first time I stayed and a Belgian waffle this morning. The owners have a beautiful Golden Retriever, but he is not allowed in the B&B portion of the house. Catherine is lovely to talk to, knowledgeable about the area, and responsive to the needs and preferences of her guests. If business brings me back to the area, I will *definitely* put this place at the top of my list.

The custom wood work, vintage light fixtures, mirrors, carpets and stained glass are at once classy and charming. Every aspect feels cozy and full of warm character without ever crossing over to ostentation. The only thing better than the atmosphere was our hosts, the owners Butch and Shirley. Even though we'd never met before, they treated us like old friends they were delighted to catch up with. They went out of their way to ensure every aspect of our stay was enjoyable. Butch and Shirley love the house just as much as we did, and you could tell they were thrilled to be able to share the gorgeous historical time capsule that is the Montgomery Mansion with others. The coffee, scratch made french toast and frittata the next morning were the perfect end to a perfect stay. The great place and great hosts have us searching for a great excuse to go back soon!

The food served for dinner (steak with potato gratin & asparagus; and coquille saint Jacques) and breakfast (egg soufflé and waffles) was top-notch.
