Normally don't bother to review places but this food is insanely delicious man super nice staff too

We've been coming to Wooster once a year but have never had time to stop in and try it so, we finally made it a point to stop in. We ordered 3 of the three combo meat platters. Ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. The sides were the baked beans, red beans and rice, greens, fried mushrooms, and the mac n cheese. The ribs were cooked nice, some smoke on them, and when you bite into them you left teeth marks which is a good sign for ribs. Maybe just a little more cooking them but either way they were still good. The brisket was good, tender, but they could use some more smoke on them, and I don't know if they have the fatty brisket since they didn't ask us and there was none in there. The fatty brisket is always tender and flavorful if cooked right. The pulled pork could use some more smoke and were a little dry. The sausage tasted really good but they had no smoke flavor and they looked like they were grilled. The mac n cheese looked and tasted like box mac n cheese, not very good or close to it at all. The baked beans tasted really good and the meat in it was flavorful. The red beans and rice was not good at all. The flavor on them was something that I couldn't figure out. Beans should have some souther flavor to them. The greens were just okay as well, they needed some seasiong to them. The fried mushrooms were really good as well. read more

This place was absolutely amazing! From the sweet girl, Lucy, that made recommendations and then took our order to the amazing food.....top notch! We tried the brisket (AMAZING), sausage, chicken, hush puppies, fried okra, coleslaw and Texas bbq beans. Everything was fantastic! The vibe was also very cool and they played great music! We will definitely drive the 30 minutes to come back again! (And ask them how they got their name ) read more

You could decide what you want by simply closing your eyes and pointing on the menu and I guarantee it will be delicious and you'll love it! Best bbq around! Food, service.... Everything is amazing! read more

This place knows BBQ. Everything I've had from there has been delicious . It's a family run restaurant. I love when they have the pulled chicky. But the smoked chicken is scrumptious. They do have beer for sell. I usually go for the tea... read more

Was planning to go to the City Steakhouse but they were not open. We popped in here on a whim. Though two distinctly different places and foods, this BBQ was superb! My chicken was out of this world delicious! The accompanying turnip greens and red beans & rice were a cut above as well! Yummy! Order & pay first and have a seat. Our food came out fairly quickly in the overall small but themed space. Highly recommend! read more

Dry tasteless bbq. Poor service. Overpriced. Sauce tasted like bottle from a store. Only good news was portions were small so we didn't waste much when we threw it away. read more

Went there for lunch. Lady behind the counter said the ribs were "big and meaty". I got the half rack rib dinner plus I paid the extra $7. for 3 extra ribs. Spent about $30. in total. Ribs were very small, definitely NOT "big and meaty", and very tough. They were all bone. I left still hungry. Not worth the money. read more

I have tried to like this establishment but other than the brisket, it's fairly anticlimactic in my experiences. I typically only go here because others I am with want to. I don't know if any of the sides are made in-house. I saw greens and coleslaw in commercially purchased containers. When I saw a worker testing how hot my chili was by dipping their finger in it, and then putting it in the microwave, that did it for me. (The reflection in the glass told the story.) Yes, they had a glove on but had been handling other items. I kindly addressed it, and they kindly offered a new bowl and some fries. Okay. However, this should not happen in a public restaurant. I believe this was be my last visit to Bob's. read more

Receptionist at Wooster College's Health Center recommended this place. Wonderful brisket. I like to run my own smoker and places like this is one reason I don't do brisket. Their brisket sets the bar high and I am intimidated. read more

If it good for Cowboy Kent Rollins then you have no excuse to stop in. Great people make great BBQ. Been here twice a year apart still great tasting food, great owners and a great experience. Remember this is quality bbq so you get what you pay for. Brisket sandwich was my choice. Just melt in your mouth tender, rich and moist. You can't get enough but what you get will be enough. Looking forward to my next trip in the area...actually I would come here from Indiana just for the food! read more

Best BBQ around, from the Ribs, Brisket, Wings (gotta try the Old Bay Dry Rub) to the smoked Armadillo Eggs, more sides than you can choose from. Smoked Vermont Chedder Mac is amazing. Friendly, family service. Even can enjoy a gold beer. read more

Best BBQ in Ohio and in my opinion, the United States. Pulled pork and brisket are Awesome!

Had the brisket and ribs. Both pretty good. I've had better but definitely had worse. The beans were very good. Hush puppies are good. The bbq sauce was very good. I'd go back and try something else. I've had bbq all over the U.S. so I probably shouldn't be comparing to that. As far as wooster and surrounding areas there is probably no better. read more

The wings and coleslaw was very good! The major disappointment was not having blue cheese for the wings and the french fries. When I hear skin on fries I'm all in. We received very tiny chunks of potatoes. There was nothing on the plate you could even remotely call a fry, read more

We must have come on an OFF day, I had been looking forward to trying this place for sometime. The beans were very runny, the chicken wings were tough and the meat didn't come off the bone at all, the fried okra was fried in big clumps so there was a lot of raw batter in them the brisket was nice and tender but the serving size was very small for the price. I thought I saw somewhere that they gave a Military/First responders discount and when I asked and showed my badge the girl did nothing. Like I said it could have just been the day... read more

We stumbled across this place after we had a reservation in a place that could not accommodate us. We are a large group of 17! They were about to close early due to staffing shortages and they we so kind and allowed us to come in anyways! All the employees we so welcoming and helpful! The food was so good! Between all of us we tried a little bit of everything and it was all great! The ranch they have is "good ranch" In my opinion. The onion rings and fried mushrooms were so crispy and delicious! The hushpuppies had an awesome flavor! read more

I was out with my family to the N.E.O Sportsman Show yesterday [1*20*18] came here because of the reviews, as I entered out smelled real good, I ordered a smoked cheeseburger [$8-] which was very moist, flavor wise was "ok" could've had a tad more seasoning could've been larger for the price, had it with pickles it only came with Lays chips as a side which to was expensive for me then up-charged [$2-] for fries & pop I'm thinking hand-cut fries but no it was those pre-cut frozen fries they were "ok" now if it was cheeseburger & fries then up-charge for pop that sounds better, it was a friendly place customer service was great from the female who took our order. My brother ordered a brisket sandwich when he got it was cold so he returned it & got his replacement it was just a bit warmer & heck of a lot smaller in size, I understand it goes by weight but it was what it was. All of our food looked great appealing to the eye, but both my brothers food they said lacked flavor. The guy who was preparing the food kinda gave me a nasty look while I watched him prepare the food, if you're going to have a glass window to see yours or someone else's foods prepared don't give anyone else a dirty look, just do your job. Question to myself, would I go back, "No"... read more

Being from Atlanta and living up north for 20 years I have to say it was a pleasant surprise. Live in Buffalo for 18 years and found a couple of decent spots there and haven't really found a spot here in the Cleveland area. Pulled pork was spot on! Staff were super friendly and I loved the laid back atmosphere. Will definitely be back and highly recommend. Only feedback would be cool to have various sauces. Nice job guys! read more

Food was serviceable for BBQ, premade. Good sauce. That basically warm it up. The 6 meat platter is ok. Sides are 6/10. Rice is dry. Review would be a 3 except for the friendliness and atmosphere. For a small town like Wooster it's your only option for BBQ. Parking is terrible. No food delivery or delivery service allowed. read more

Amazing barbecue, some of the staff are teens that are kinda awkward on the phone but the food makes up for that

Best BBQ around. Never had a bad experience here. Just good old home town bbq and the only place around for good fried Okra!

The absolute best BBQ in Ohio. Cooked to perfection each and every time. Prices are competitive.

I stopped in for a late lunch today. If never been here before and always like to try small local restaurants as opposed to big chains. I ordered the 3 meat combo dinner with brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage, fries and fried mushrooms. The meat was all pretty tasty although the brisket was just a little dry. Fries and fried mushrooms was the standard food service stuff you can get just about anywhere, but still good. The combo I got was a bit pricey for what it was I thought, but it's possible to get lunch for about $10 if go for some of the lower priced items. My food came fairly quickly, and the staff at the restaurant was very friendly. They thanked me when I left and seemed genuinely glad that I stopped in. All in all it was perfectly enjoyable, and I'm glad I stopped in! read more

Fun little hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint right in downtown Wooster. Counter ordering, with a few small tables for dining in. All your standard BBQ fare, priced fair, with decent portions. Last visit, I got a half rack of the pork ribs, with sweet potato casserole, mac n' cheese, and a sweet tea. The woman behind the counter, (who I later learned was the owners daughter who recently relocated to Wooster from Maryland) brought out a small sample of the baked beans as well for me to try. Everything was really good, particularly the baked beans. They had some smoked brisket In them from what I could tell. Ribs were tender, without being over smoked. The BBQ sauces weren't remarkable, but they by no means were bad. I'm spoiled having attended college in South Carolina. Got used to their style sauce. But that's certainly no fault of this joint. Mac and sweet potato casserole were both excellent sides. I left feeling fat and happy, with a little change in my pocket. And honestly, what more can you ask for at a BBQ joint? Will happily return in the future. read more

This sandwich was definitely not worth the 9:50 they charge, brisket was nothing to brag about, how about adding a pickle and some slaw at least it would look better, now off to KFC to spend another $5 to feel like I ate something, disappointing!!!! read more

In town for the day and decided to try a local restaurant for a quick meal. So glad we gave Omahoma Bob's our business. Really good barbecue and sides. We both went with the pulled pork dinner. Highly recommend the cole slaw. Definitely worth the stop. read more

We really enjoyed our visit and this BBQ restaurant. My husband obviously loves BBQ. The ribs were wonderfully sauced and tender. The sides were delicious. The restaurant smelled wonderful. And, the restaurant was clean. Didn't care for how the drinks were served out. if they have bottles of something choose the bottle or canned soda. Otherwise, a really great place to dine. read more

My husband and I like BBQ, but usually do our own. So we decided to try Bob's and we enjoyed it. Great place for a quick bit and the food is good. I got the Pulled Pork Wrap and my husband got a hamburger, fast service. My wrap was stuffed with pulled pork and a spicy slaw. The hamburger was a bit to well done, but it actually is fast food in a sense. I would like to try more, but for another time. Great for a fast lunch, not sure about dinner. read more

Great place, we have been coming here for years. We just stopped in again the other night. We had the pulled pork, sausage and wings. All was great but the star of the show was the beans. Yes beans, omg they are incredible. I've never been a fan of beans but that change the other night. I never ordered the beans before but they gave us a side. Wow!! How did they get so much smoke flavor in the beans and big chunks of pork. Yummm read more

Ate here for the first time while on a road trip and we always try to eat local. This was an awesome down home BBQ restaurant that had excellent pulled pork and brisket. I would definitely recommend. Just wish they weren't 4 hours away from home! read more

Great place! Brisket was perfect, slaw was impressive, and the cornbread was like cake.

Giving Omahoma Bob's a 5 star rating for a 5 star experience. My family rented a vacation home for the weekend, just a quick pandemic getaway. We were looking for a good place for carry out and this place did not disappoint! I pre-ordered early in the week and specified a pick-up time. Our order was hot and ready to go upon arrival! We ordered a slab of ribs, 1/2 pound brisket, 2 pounds of smoked wings, smoked sausage. In addition, the sides that we ordered were, as follows; coleslaw, baked beans, turnip greens and Mac n cheese, all by the pint or quart, which was super convenient. I don't eat beef or pork, but my family raved about the ribs, brisket and smoked sausage. I can personally vouch for the wings, they were meaty, cooked and seasoned perfectly! The sides and bbq sauce were delicious, as well. The servings were more than generous and a really good value. We had enough for leftovers. Last, but not least, the staff could not have been more welcoming! I would absolutely return, when in the area! read more

We walked in to find who I assume was the owner and the young lady behind the cash register mask-less. The waitress did have on a mask, but it wasn't covering her mouth or nose. I asked the owner why no masks in his own place. He pointed to the cooking area and said that masks weren't required when cooking around an open flame. Okay... But he was nowhere near the cooking area (he was gabbing with the staff) and there were no open flames at that point in time. I'm not sure what his point had to do with the other two workers. Needless to say, we walked out of the place as I'm not willing to risk my family's health because of the irresponsibility of the owner and his staff. read more

This has to be one of the best BBQ place I have eaten at!!! I have been here three time trying different things and every time it amazes me!
