Had a nice experience here. We were short on time so ordered our lunch to go but we sat inside and waited. The decor is really cute and they have windows overlooking the water. The service was super friendly too! My party ordered the portabella po' boy with Parmesan asparagus instead of fries ($1 upcharge), the pulled pork sandwich, and the boathouse salad. I am told the portabella sandwich was amazing (it looked really good!) and the pulled pork was good. My salad was a little disappointing but overall fine. They had a few appetizers that sounded tasty as well...I would definitely go back and eat inside!

It was a disappointing experience. In a nutshell, the food was not fresh and the servers were incompetent not to mention their poor manners. My friends and I were so excited to try this restaurant. The setting looked amazing, the atmosphere of the restaurant and the menu looked so good! Starting from the moment we sat down, the ordering process for dine-in items was unnecessarily difficult and slow. Also, we had to jump through hoops to make a to-go order. The server first said its not possible to make a to-go order, then said we need to speak to a manager in order to make a to-go order. Overall, an unnecessarily difficult experience. The dine-in orders showed up and yet again, we were disappointed and concerned for our health. Cold, hard fries on the poutine, and soggy, limp, warm fries on another order. The onion rings were drowning in an absurd amount of oil, similarly, the mac and cheese was also drowned in a pool of orange colored oil. There is no reason the food need to be cooked in that amount of oil. The grilled salmon was overcooked and dry. More alarmingly, it smelled really fishy, indicating questionable freshness and raises health and safety concerns. A surprising outcome for a restaurant named the boathouse. All of us left the restaurant concerned for our health. When the bill came, the server hovered over the shoulder. As soon as the bill was signed, the server reached over and yanked the bill away and left. My friends and I entered the restaurant with joy and excitement and left disappointed and worried for our health.

Love this place. It's so spacious and the decor is fun! The views of the river are really nice in the booths! The food was delicious and the waitress was awesome! Great dinner!

Me and my group waited almost two hours just to get our food. It took about 15 minutes to get our drinks.

Stopped in 6 o'clock on a Thursday night. (They do not take reservations for parties of less than…read moreeight) and we had a 45 minute wait. French fries are frozen with a little bit of coating on them. (I prefer hand cut fries) The menu is varied so you should be able to find something. There seems to be an awful lot of spicy dishes on the menu. So, my friend ordered the Caesar salad and it comes with cavatappi pasta, which we found interesting on a Caesar salad, but she said it was good. Her husband ordered the glazed salmon, a baked potato with cheese and bacon, a bowl of chili with cheese and bacon as his appetizer, and he was surprised that the spice was as high on the glaze rather than sweet, but he still enjoyed it. My husband had the fish and chips and he said they were good. I had the crispy spicy chicken salad, and I took the ginger dressing on the waitresses' advice. It was good, but the chicken wasn't hot. It was room temperature!! I would try something else if I return. Reason for 4 stars-there seem to be a lot of empty tables and a very long wait time as there were lots of waiters and waitresses. Three of us drank ice water one had a sweet tea. With tip and the mandatory convenience fee for use of a credit card .... dinner was slightly over $100 for four of us.
