Came here to introduce a friend to Korean bbq on a weekday evening. Since this one of the few AYCE places in the Spring Branch area, I thought it would be a good spot so he could try more items. I arrived a few minute early and was greeted warmly, by who, I was later to find out, was the owner. We had chatted a bit before my friend arrived, and the owner surprised us by offering us one of the private rooms despite there only being the two of us. There were three different options for the AYCE menus. We went with menu A which was the middle option because came with the galbi option, my favorite! It also included a few Korean fried chicken options as well not included in the B list. The AYCE option came with a few included starters, including a dumpling, shrimp tempura, salad, tteokbokki, and cheese corn. The tteokbokki and cheese corn were both disappointing and congealed by the time we got them. Not sure if they were precooked and sitting around, but it seemed to be the case. There were four banchan options that came out as well which were tasty enough. I'm used to a lot more banchan options though. As for the meat, I selected four different kinds- beef belly, wine pork belly, galbi, and bulgolgi. The galbi and bulgolgi were both the stand out items for me. Definitely order those two. You do the cooking yourself here. I cranked up the heat to the grill an extra notch because I felt like it could use a little more after cooking the first two items. I also special requested lettuce leaves and raw garlic, as they were not on the menu. I was excited to tried their fried chicken wings in soy garlic and spicy flavor. These were okay though and lacked the extra crunch and texture of some of my favorite kfc. The flavor was fine though. The gimbap we ordered was rolled nicely. The kimchi soup stew was a bit lacking but a nice way to end the meal on a cold evenings . We were brought out a tiny sweet rice drink at the end of the meal, which was perfect. I did enjoy that this place uses the button system when needing service. Just push the button to summon a server. My friend really enjoyed learning about the kbbq experience and trying some items unique to him. Overall a nice place I wouldn't mind returning to. It was a nice change to dine at a quiet beautifully decorated place complete with older Korean servers instead of eating at a loud trendy place with K-pop blaring. read more

I've been here several times and honestly have never had a single issue. From the moment we walk in, we're always greeted and seated right away. As soon as we sit down, they take our drink order, and once we tell them what we want, the meats come out quickly with exactly what we asked for. There's a good selection of unlimited sides. My favorite is the salad. I always forget to ask what the dressing is, but I'm pretty sure it's some kind of vinaigrette. Either way, it pairs perfect with the meats. There's also creamed corn, tempura shrimp, fried dumplings, pickled cucumbers, and more. Another thing I love is how private it feels. Each booth has privacy walls, which makes it really nice when we have our son who won't sit still. We live about 45 minutes away, but we still keep coming back. Definitely our go to Korean BBQ spot. read more

So it was my first time trying some KBBQ and this location was selected by the group so was coming into it brand new. Inside decor definitely passed the vibe check, and it was cozy too which I think compared to other KBBQ places that are crowded I actually enjoyed. The AYCE menu was divided into 3 Categories (S,A,B) with each tier having more options. So we went B which in my opinion if you want the typical cuts and what you expect in KBBQ then that'll do. But you don't care bout the vibe, how's the food? Well I don't think the food quality was bad at all, but it wasn't omg I have to spread the good word to everyone I know to try this place. The cuts in terms of quantity was plenty but some of the quality was hit or miss for me. Some cuts was hard to distinguish between the others in terms of flavor/umami. Now I think a little responsibility falls to the grill master of our table but still. The speed once we placed our orders was fine but it felt well understaffed as it seemed like one waitress was taking care of 5 tables plus cleaning/clearing plate duties. I felt like a bother when I had to flag her down to order our next order since we were kind of waiting for like 10 mins after finishing our rounds. All in all, I think there's a lot of room for improvement for this location and would definitely come back if some of the core issues were addressed. But I think in terms of KBBQ places it really rides middle of the road. read more

I wanted to go to our go to Korea BBQ by our area but it was swamped. The wait was 35 minutes and my other half didn't want to wait. So we decided instead of waiting we would go to Korea House which the drive wasn't to far. I love the old school places but for sure reason I wasn't as happy about this place. Yes, it is all you can eat but the selection wasn't like our usual place. I was missing my oyster mushrooms and hot pot. Of course service was great but I wasn't feeling the food at the time. Given the abundant options of KBBQ throughout Houston now, it may seem inconceivable that the city wasn't well equipped for the demand even a decade ago. Korea House gets lots of pioneering credit for being among the first to adopt this format and even after all of these years is still a destination for many carnivores. I realize it's Spring Branch (#1), but I'm pleased to see that Korea House is still as Korean as ever. Most of the staff is able to converse in Korean (#2) and the old school decor is really heightened with the traditional decor pieces and antique figurines. I also really appreciate how group friendly every table is and the variety of multiple private rooms in the dining area. The format for the AYCE is divided by three separate menus: S - $42.95 for adults, $34.95 for children (4-7) A - $37.95 for adults, $29.95 for children (4-7) B - $32.95 for adults, $25.95 for children (4-7) All menus allow for different cuts of bulgogi, pork belly, grilled chicken, and a variety of non-BBQ items such as Korean fried chicken, katsu, Korean hot dogs, chicken tenders, kimchi bulgolgi fries, with a choice of kimbap or Korean fried rice, and a choice of two picks of soybean jiggae, soondubu, or ramyun. Menu A also has additional choices such as marinated beef short rib (kalbi), marinated sirloin, marinated, and beef bulgogi. The most premium menu, S, has ribeye steak, both marinated and unmarinated beef short rib, along with beef tongue, pork jowl, shrimp, spicy squid, more fried chicken like soy garlic and mozzadogs. Personally, I think A is the best of the three options. Kalbi is an essential add-on for the ideal KBBQ experience, but I do love the ribeye options for Menu S. If one goes for the latter, I'd recommend getting at least 4 rounds of ribeye alone to make up the difference. The meat cuts overall are decent and I'd give their beef belly, pork jowl, bulgogi, and shoulder steak as my go-to meats. I would have passed on the kimbap, fish katsu, and most of the seafood. I love the grills and appreciate that the ventilation was fairly solid. I do love that they utilize the call buttons at each table since the service would have been even slower if my group didn't continually press it to have them clear plates, add water, add sauces, or get napkins. I think the key to success here is to take it slow and come ready to eat. There was a moment where my group and I ordered too much too quickly and there was no room left on the table. Thankfully grills were changed out and occasionally the waitresses would help with cutting and cooking the meats. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. While I don't think it's incredible food, I do appreciate the variety of AYCE foods offered, the ambiance / feast-worthy atmosphere and the actual BBQ equipment is definitely on par. Do not go here!!!!!!!!! Here's my story !!! I went there on Monday 3/2/26. I'm not saying we didn't waste any food , I know we did with few pieces of the meat but let's be honest which AYCE you go to that we don't order something we never have before in my case ( beef intestine and tripe ) we place a order of each to try it out and we find out that's not something we like and we didn't finish the rest as you can see in the picture probably like 3-4 pieces of each . Personally I think it's responsible. The server we have was have a bad day or something he's like you have to finish everything we order if not we gonna be charge extra not to say I never seen the sign like that in other ayce place but as long as the waste is reasonable, there won't be any charge like that actually being charged to any of the clients. But idk what this server of the place is thinking saying that we wasted too much that we have to pay extra money . I haven't been here in a while, but I don't remember it being this good! Came here after hanging out with some friends and we were definitely starving! First impressions: there's lots of parking and I really like the look of the place and the decorations. It feels very home-y. Service: Servers were great and helped our big party very well! Food was delivered in a fast pace and waters were refilled appropriately. Food: I'm always a big pork belly person, and it was so good here! Actually, everything was good here. I've eaten here multiple times, mostly for business lunches, and each visit has been great. Korea House offers all you can eat Korean BBQ where you grill your own food in the center of the table, and as a somewhat outsider to the whole thing, I've always found Korea House accommodating, clean, and most importantly, tasty. They offer 3 tiers of all you can eat (at least that's my lunch experience) each with a fixed price. Even if you select the cheapest option, you'll leave absolutely stuffed and happy. It's a fine establishment with consistent food for ayce. The chadol (차돌백이) is light and cooks great, the pork belly (삼겹살) is thin and cooks well! The pork bulgogi (돼지 불고기) is a bit heavier, but still holds great flavor and the tonkatsu (돈까스) is standard and filling. I love the service (very sweet) and for ~$36 you really cannot beat it. I came here for the first time! I had a hot bowl of bibimpa with vegetarian style! It was good but I can say that they can put more flavors by putting mushroom seasoning or even more of soy sauce or salt. I felt a bit of seasoning less. So my suggestion is that put mushroom seasonings or soy sauce. I enjoyed the variety of side dishes as well! That's the features of Korean restaurant for sure! Toward the end, we also ordered a bowl of cold noodles (nyengmyong? Idk spelling) it was sooooo good! I love the flavors , texture and subtle tartness and all! Wow... just WOW. I've been here before and always had a great experience. It's been about 2-3 years since I've been back, but decided to come with my boyfriend to try it out again. We ended up getting one of the meal sets (about $35 per person) and it was SO good. I don't think there was a single side dish we didn't like -- we loved every side dish there! In addition, Giheung was so amazing! She came by very often to make sure we were doing well and even made some wraps for us; it reminded me of my mom and grandma back home feeding me, got me a little homesick. Of course, ALL of their servers were amazing as well :) On top of that, my boyfriend got their honey beer which was also SOOOO good. Overall, such an amazing experience. Very nut-allergy friendly. At the time of writing, no peanuts in any default dishes that I could see. Which is nice because the servers aren't great with English. Lunch review: Great portions and nice diversity for a reasonable price. About $21/person with tax and tip. Galbi was a bit chewy but flavorful. Tempura could've been a little crispier but the dumplings were very crispy. Good soup and nice dessert and light banchan (kimchi, beansprouts, broccoli, potato) included. Was seated immediately on a weekday and served quickly, with lunch well within an hour and a half. Dinner AYCE review: We were a little nervous at the service at first, because it started slowly and they don't handle large parties too well (only 4 meats at a time and served two plates of each to a party of 12). They also aren't set up well for 12 since we only had two burners between us, putting 6 to a burner (usually 4 to a burner is standard). However, the food came out quickly once we got started and the sides were portioned well and individually plated. Pricey AYCE compared to some other Houston options ($42 PER person for the "B" lowest tier menu after tax and tip, highest tier is like $55/person with tax and tip) and there is no option to self serve anything. However, the service was fast and polite (unlike other KBBQ which sometimes takes forever) so I would recommend giving it a shot. They have different menus with different prices for the all you can eat. I think we chose menu C, which has all of menu a and b plus seafood. You get choice of 2 soups to share for every 4 people. The meat options were good, comes out in smaller portions and may not seem like a lot but it will fill you up. We live in the area and wanted to try this Korean place, the food overall was flavorful but I have had better. We did the regular menu and ordered the beef bibimpap which the meat was a litttle on the dry side. The pepper fried chicken dish was good, we didn't realize how big the portion was. It's definitely shareable size and there's no side rice or such so will have to order a side if you want something to go with it besides the pickled cucumbers, kimchi and potatoes they provide. I want to give this place more stars because I enjoy the concept but it is poorly executed. No one was upfront to greet entrants or direct them to a table. We waited about 20 minutes with several other parties, finally one of our group walked to the front to ask how to get seated and we were sat right away. I didn't mind but I'm sure people waiting longer than us were. Refills were definitely a problem with our drinks almost always being empty. We didn't find the service button until after the meal. Oof The meats were not that plentiful and our grill plate was not swapped out so the carbon made a lot of smoke and changed the flavor of the food. Korea House is an all you can eat Korean bbq, where you have a choice from the menus as to which meats you want for the all you can eat special. They have decent choices as far as the meats go, but as far as seafood, do not bother with paying the extra for the S menu option, the shrimp was mushy, no amount of cooking could fix that shrimp, it was basically paste, which means it was way too old, the baby octopus was ok, but the squid wasn't worth it either. The beef and pork options were spot on with flavor, quality and quantity. The appetizer wasn't so good though, the corn was over cooked, and the rest is bland. The best of the vegetables was the cucumber. The restaurant itself is spacious and very nice, the tables give you plenty of room, and when you ring the bell, they are quick to the table to make sure you have what you need. The employees are very nice and this is very family friendly place to eat. Overall I'm very pleased with the experience. read more

The restaurant saids open until 11 but the kitchen closes at 9 pm wtf????? We left and did not even get to experience the food. So that's pretty much what the 1 star is contributed too. I thought "All You Can Eat" Korean BBQ was only a thing in California, luckily, THERE'S ONE IN HOUSTON! There are 3 menus to choose from, which include a variety of proteins. Based on which proteins you want, each menu varies from $25.95-$35.95 pp. You can choose as many meats as you want for a limit of 2 hours, but be warned, if you don't finish it, YOU WILL BE CHARGED $5! How it works: Your table is seated and when you are ready to order, you press the button. Anytime you are needing a refill or a new protein, you simply press the button. They will bring out raw pieces of protein and you cook it at your table! Unfortunately, the flavor of the meats we had were pretty bland and chewy: Bulgogi, Pork Belly, Chicken, and Galbi.
