Hidden gem, authentic Korean lunch/dinner set, Kimbap snacks!!! Small space made mostly for to go. This is a hidden gem homemade meal that these sweet ahjumma packed for us. We love it & cannot wait to come back many times! Food is delicious, large portion, good value pricing & totally worth it to try. Kimbap with add on Bulgogi: 9/10 on the sweeter note but still so delicious for a quick road trip snack, breakfast/brunch or even midnight grabs. Packed with generous meat inside & rolled with care. Premium Grilled eel dosirak set - 9/10 eel soaked in grilled onion with unagi sauce, sweet & tender with tasty complimentary banchan. Premium Galbi Dosirak set - 10/10 galbi cooked to perfection & taste better than most Korean BBQ place we tried. Hearty grain rice compliment the meal. Banchan within the dosirak set - I wish there's more kimchi included. Egg omelette, fish cake, bean sprout, steamed broccoli, Japchae, and salty anchovies - what can I say, everything made sense & cooked with love. Making this set healthy, homie, and hearty. I wish I could try the tempura (cannot due to allergy), but my family tried it & said it's tasty too. Overall, if you're in Houston & in the Spring Branch area. Stop by to try this set to eat at home since there's no or very limited seating space. Trust me you will not regret stopping by to try this authentic Korean food place.

+Excellent customer service. The owner is super nice and you can tell she is really about the customer experience. +The Korean cuisine is legit. Tastes very traditional, not salty or too sweet. +Cooking just a few banchan (side dishes) can require a lot of ingredients and be labor intensive, so sometimes it's just easier to spend $8-10 per banchan for a nice table spread. You'll get quite a few meals from a small haul. If you want to grab a dosirak (packaged meal) for lunch/dinner or some banchan to eat with a bowl of rice at home, this is a nice spot to check out!

Had such a great experience here! I ordered the deluxe bulgogi box, spicy pork box, the japchae, and 2 orders of the kimbap. The kimbap was made fresh so it was still warm when I ate it. The boxes came with banchan so that was a really nice treat as well. My favorites were the fish cakes and Kim chi.Everything was delicious and packaged so well. The women running the store were so sweet too. I will gladly be back to get my Korean fix!

The food is delicious! Reminds me of my childhood in Korea almost as close to my moms cooking . really recommend this place. The lady was super nice, very good service. Didn't even want me to tip but I had to with that great service. The vibes were cute and chill. It's like a little store with just 2 tables. Very cute. It is a little pricey. Total for these 3 = $60ish

Location is a bit hidden BUT the service 10/10 the lady who's cooks up the food is the sweetest, makes you feel welcomed as soon as you come in. Food is extra good cause you just know she makes it with love. Highly recommend this place, food is 10/10 , it's hard finding a good Korean food place that is as good as my mother in laws but this place is the real deal as well. Deliciousness.

My little sister saw this on a reel and told me to try it. I preordered on Uber Eats then got there a little early to pick it up. The two ajummas were running around trying fulfill everyone's order. Apparently word has spread because they didn't open until 1 the next day to recuperate and restock. The kimbap were perfect. Grew up eating these on road trips and as a snack since I'm Korean and these hit the spot. The dosirak was A LOT of food. I packed 3/4 of it for my husband for his lunch the next day. Not a lot of kimchee but we obviously have some at home. I loved all the banchan they included and more specifically the dried anchovies which I loved eating as a child. Only the japchae I didn't love because it was a little too oily but overall everything was tasty. They have tables there to eat and sell drinks and Korean groceries. The fridge also has banchan you can buy. Signs were great outside and the place was clean and very open. The ladies were very nice and they loved that I came speaking Korean. Parking was easy but I can see how it would get tight.

I had the spicy seafood soup with fresh noodles, and it was spectacular. The noodles were cooked perfectly and soaked up all that incredible broth. The mix of shrimp, mussels, and squid made it feel hearty and well-balanced. I also tried my friend's beef short rib soup, which was just as delicious, definitely ordering that next time. The banchan really impressed me too. The kimchi had the perfect crunch and might be some of the best I've had. The fish cakes and scallions were also on point. The space is small but great for lunch or a casual dinner. Service was friendly, restrooms were clean, and overall it was a great experience. I'll definitely be back.

I was impressed by the portion size, because each half could've been placed in a separate bowl, add more broth (shaved ice and a slice of Korean pear optional), and that's two portions in most places. Historically, these noodle dishes were a rare treat and a delicacy, as these noodles were very labor intensive and hard to make (although I'm sure they're mass produced now), and had to be served cold in the summer heat. Banchan was tasty too, including the kimchi which was early in the fermentation stage. The kimchi pancake was huge, definitely had to take this one to go, and came with an optional Korean-style spicy soy dipping sauce. I ordered the combo and went with the Bulgogi, which was tender and tasty, but didn't come sizzling so the pan it came in was more for display. Still, great good, fantastic value, and definitely the real deal. It's not as fancy as some of the more expensive neighborhoods of Houston (and a bit out of the way for me), but sometimes you just want some really tasty and unpretentious Korean comfort food.

They make their tofu in-house, and you can really taste the difference. The soup is rich, comforting, and flavorful without tasting overloaded with MSG. It's the kind of meal that just warms your soul. We also ordered the cheese tonkatsu, and my husband got the seolleongtang. We normally aren't fans of cheese tonkatsu--in fact, we didn't even realize it had cheese in it when we ordered it--but wow... it was actually so good. Definitely a pleasant surprise. My husband's seolleongtang was amazing too. The banchan was fresh and well-prepared, and every dish we had was delicious. The service was absolutely perfect. The ladies working there were incredibly kind and even brought my husband extra noodles for his soup without us asking. That small gesture really made our experience even more memorable. Thank you so much! There's a decent amount of parking, but dinner time gets pretty busy, so I'd recommend arriving early since it's not a very large restaurant. 10/10. This is definitely one of our favorite Korean restaurants in Houston, and we'll absolutely be back.

That said, the consistency of both service and food quality between visits can be noticeable. Service can be very slow at times, even when the restaurant isn't particularly busy. We've had issues with banchan not being brought out, grills not being turned on, and fish orders taking nearly an hour to arrive. Food quality can also be hit or miss. For example, the Cheese Crab Puffs have occasionally arrived completely cold with barely any crispiness or color, and we've had similar issues with other appetizers. My favorites are the Garlic Salmon Sashimi, Black Angus Marinated Short Rib, Wagyu Beef Belly, Black Angus Rib Finger, and Thick Cut Pork Belly. I also enjoy the Takoyaki, Crispy Tuna Rice, and Tteokbokki. There are a few dishes I would skip, including the Spicy Scallop Sashimi and Nigiri unless you enjoy very small scallops, the Baked Green Mussels, which are overly sweet, and the Prime Beef Brisket, which I've found to be tough and dry. Overall, there are plenty of dishes I genuinely enjoy here, but the inconsistency keeps this from being a place I can wholeheartedly recommend. When everything is executed well, it's a great meal, but you never quite know what kind of experience you're going to get. That being said, I tend to get good ones the majority of the time.

To be honest, I think the menu tablets are a bit overkill since they have a small enough menu to look though, but it is good for people who aren't familiar with Korean food or the establishment itself. What's nice is you can get many of the dishes with noodles or rice as your starch of choice. 10/10 Jjamppong - the broth is flavorful, seafood rich, and noodles perfectly bouncy. SOO good. I couldn't finish the whole bowl, so it's easily shareable. 7/10 Chicken Fried Rice. It's expensive for the amount of rice you get. Flavor is good, but there's not a lot of chicken. Would suggest an appetizer as well if you want to stay full. This location does not have unlimited pickled radishes like the Spring Branch location.
