My friend and I ended up getting: White Seafood Noodle Soup Black Bean Noodle (Jjajangmyeon) The jjangmyeon was standard but the white seafood noodle soup was spectacular! The broth was delicious and there was a good amount of veggies and seafood in the soup. The banchan (side dishes) only consisted of kimchi and pickled yellow radish but they went well with the jjajangmyeon. Overall, I'm glad I got the chance to try this small local business and I'm looking forward to coming back!

We had chatted a bit before my friend arrived, and the owner surprised us by offering us one of the private rooms despite there only being the two of us. There were three different options for the AYCE menus. We went with menu A which was the middle option because came with the galbi option, my favorite! It also included a few Korean fried chicken options as well not included in the B list. The AYCE option came with a few included starters, including a dumpling, shrimp tempura, salad, tteokbokki, and cheese corn. The tteokbokki and cheese corn were both disappointing and congealed by the time we got them. Not sure if they were precooked and sitting around, but it seemed to be the case. There were four banchan options that came out as well which were tasty enough. I'm used to a lot more banchan options though. As for the meat, I selected four different kinds- beef belly, wine pork belly, galbi, and bulgolgi. The galbi and bulgolgi were both the stand out items for me. Definitely order those two. You do the cooking yourself here. I cranked up the heat to the grill an extra notch because I felt like it could use a little more after cooking the first two items. I also special requested lettuce leaves and raw garlic, as they were not on the menu. I was excited to tried their fried chicken wings in soy garlic and spicy flavor. These were okay though and lacked the extra crunch and texture of some of my favorite kfc. The flavor was fine though. The gimbap we ordered was rolled nicely. The kimchi soup stew was a bit lacking but a nice way to end the meal on a cold evenings . We were brought out a tiny sweet rice drink at the end of the meal, which was perfect. I did enjoy that this place uses the button system when needing service. Just push the button to summon a server. Don't let the small, unassuming location fool you--this family-owned restaurant is an absolute hidden gem. The warm, welcoming atmosphere and friendly service made us feel like guests rather than customers. The live seafood tanks filled with lobster, shrimp, octopus, and flounder immediately told us we were in for something special. We enjoyed live lobster prepared two ways (including an incredible lobster head soup), soy-marinated raw crab (Gejang), seafood pancake, stir-fried seafood, traditional banchan, authentic Korean soju, Terra beer, and even experienced Somaek the traditional way.
