We did our homework on what vehicle we wanted, and we had a trade in, something I've never done. We went in and they couldn't have been nicer, refreshingly NOT a hard sell. They didn't have the exact model on site, but said there was one on it's way from Japan, and we'd have to wait a week or two. That actually gave me time to do more studying on the Forester and how much the trade in was expected to fetch. We got the call it was in and headed that way, knowing we had the right to refuse. Long story short, the price was right, the terms were right, and our trade in came in to the exact dollar amount we expected. Couldn't be happier. All things considered, we'd buy from them again. And we'd get another Forester. It's a NICE vehicle... EXCEPT to use all of ApplePlay's features the iPhone needed to be plugged in to USB. For phone calls it uses bluetooth, so THAT'S good. I got an 8" cord from Amazon, and it fits nicely in front of the shifter.

Elizabeth greeted my father and I at the front door. We took the car for a test drive, which included a $50 Visa gift card for test driving a Subaru this month. I enquired about lease information and provided my details. We walked into Elizabeth's office where personal items were strewn across her desk....random keys, an opened pack of Marlboro cigarettes, etc. Real classy type of situation going on here at this dealership. Elizabeth went to retreive her sales manager's numbers on the vehicle; she came back and provided their price, which was substantially higher than a quote I received from Gerald in Naperville. When this was raised, Elizabeth's tone and attitude became argumentative, condescending, and dismissive when I provided her with the details from Gerald. She began nitpicking apart my quote from Gerald explaining that the lease price would actually be much higher, and explained that I would be paying for applicable options on the vehicle. I'm not interested in options, I'm interested in a Crosstrek Base which has a net cap cost of $25,346. She wasnt interested in hearing this either. My Dad asked a simple question about the financing rate on the lease, and Elizabeth's reaction was so ridiculous, unnecessary, and over the top....I told my father that we were done talking here, and we walked out. She blurted out to my father, "well I don't know the rate.....0.0000000 something", and used the tone of "why the hell are you asking me that question?". We're asking the question because we are looking to lease a vehicle, you invalid! Elizabeth ran behind us as we left, begging us to let her see if there was something she could do about the lease price. My father was more graceful as I was and actually continued to interact with her on our way out. The lease price isn't the problem. Elizabeth's entire being, including her disappointing, egregious attitude is to blame. I doubt that anything can be done to fix this problem, except fire her. I doubt that'll happen though. Because we all know car salesmen are scum of the Earth who project their extreme personal unhappiness onto anyone they can. These losers lost out on a sale of a vehicle today. Don't buy a vehicle from this place, they don't give a crap about you as a customer. They don't even honor the $50 Visa gift card for test driving a vehicle.

And, the service check takes forever (think 2 hours on a Saturday): 1. New tires (I went elsewhere for half the price, but that place told me i had at least another year on the old ones, so I was switching them out early) $2500 at Toyota ($1130 for four locally, better brand, original equipment). 2. Brakes: they did not check them even though they said they would. Instead tried to sell me a front caliper cleaning $117, rear caliper $117 nope. What I did need was the supposedly free brake check that they "forgot" to do. At local shop, told I have 80% wear left. Free check. 3. Rodent Deterrent -$303 nope don't need that. I use bait boxes in garage. 4. A/C Heater Cleaning $205 nope, don't need that 5. Fuel Induction Clean $299 nope, don't need that 6. Wheel Alignment $159 nope, don't need that 7. PCV Valve Replacement $142 huh? 8. Brake Fluid Exchange $267 yes, local shop said I could use that but they charge $140 9. New rim (it's a large scratch, who cares) $994 So, I came in for a brake check that they forgot to do, windshield wipers, and a tire check, and they wanted to charge me $4143, but I got out for $77 for the wipers and what they termed a "basic car check" that does not include checking brake pads. Who can afford this larceny? And, how can a "basic car check" not include the size of the brake pad remaining? My car has 35K miles on it now (it had 33467 at the time of the Toyota basic car heck). Guess where I'm not going back to today, now that my car keeps saying I need the oil changed? And, how do I need the oil changed when it's only been 2000 miles. I'm guessing that's because it's been 6 months. So okay, that's fine, I had it done locally for $95.00 and $38 to rotate my almost brand new tires. At least Pinnacle will do the brake check for FREE. Note that terribly damaged (not) rim in the photo on back tire. If you buy a Toyota, do not have it serviced at Toyota of Naperville, unless you like throwing cash out the window.

"Oswego Motors writes "'providing high-quality used cars with low mileage and great CarFax reports" - true, the 2007 Prius had 75K miles on it. The Carfax was long on non-maint. BS and short on actual services, but that's not something under Chad's control. "and we include a powerhouse warranty that covers the motor for 3 years and an additional 100,000 miles." - also true. I was trying to turn it down because other dealers wanted $2-$3k for a warranty, and Chad very patiently explained that this one does not have an extra fee. "What sets us apart is our upfront one-price system, which ensures that you get a fair deal without any haggling or hidden fees." also true - and not what I was getting from other dealers with additional fees for everything (used car inspection fee, warranty fee, etc.) Car averaged 54.2 mpg on the way home, OBDII checks showed NO errors or faults of any kind. Exactly the kind of car any father wants his daughter driving. :)

Shawn was a straight shooter from the beginning. No pressure, no endless back-and-forth price game. He simply wanted to find me the exact vehicle I wanted and give me the best deal he could. I had done quite a bit of homework and had already shopped several other dealers. They didn't have my exact color combination in stock, but by the next day Shawn had located one with the exact options I wanted. Here's what really impressed me: I knew exactly what this vehicle should cost because I had pricing from several other dealers on essentially the same QX80. Shawn beat the other pricing by about 5%. Even more surprising, his price came in roughly $3,000 below the number I had already told him he needed to reach to earn my business. He could have easily stopped at my number, but he didn't. That told me a lot about how he does business. Needless to say, I was very happy with the entire experience. From Zach, to Shawn, to the finance department, to how beautifully the vehicle was detailed when I picked it up, everything was first-class.
