Abe the owner let you do whatever you need to with the car, I took the car out for almost a full day to do a pre-purchase inspection and he didn't even copy my driver's license or anything. The car is not perfect and he didn't try to hide it when I point out something I see. He knows the battery is about spent and didn't hide the fact, and bought a new one from the BMW dealer. I have a trade-in and he showed me listing online for prices of the same car and wholesale value, etc, made the whole process pretty transparent to me. They don't have a large selection of cars in their storage but they also take requests if you are looking for a specific car to buy, he can try to find it for you from wholesale.

I finally…read moregot a notification online that this dealership had it so hubby and I drove over an hour there on 9/20/25 to take a look at it. We had a 2 p.m. confirmed appointment with Ivan. We get there and the staff is friendly. The dealership is big and beautiful. When we told them that we had an appointment with Ivan, Kimberly told us that he's with another customer and that she would take over for him. Huh? We had an appointment with him so why were we passed off to someone else? Didn't like that factor. They had the 2019 red GLE 43 Coupe waiting for us to look at which was nice. I was excited to see. I was very surprised when looking at the car. Although it's a nice car, there was damage to it. The back wheel rim had the Mercedes center medallion missing from it. There was also damage to the drivers inside door panel - there was a large crack on the plastic molding that is very obvious because it's black. I asked her if those would be repaired and she told me no. We took a test drive but the excitement waned because Kimberly was talking way too much and asking personal questions about hubby and I so it was hard to concentrate on the things about the car. I told her I wanted to look at other cars as I knew that wasn't my car and the warranty had expired. She took us back into her office (all glass windows) and I could see that Ivan's office was right next to her. There were many times he was alone but he didn't stop in to introduce himself. Kimberly found out our price range and showed us on their website cars available at the dealership. I saw a few I wanted to look at so she took us over to look at them. There was one car I was really interested in, the 2025 CLA 250. We took a test drive and it rode nice, and I really liked the car. Came back to Kim's office and started talking about financing. Hubby and I decided to take time to think about the decision. When we told Kimberly this, she told me they couldn't guarantee that the car wouldn't be sold without a non-refundable deposit. We understood. I did ask the question about who gets the commission if we were to purchase the car and interesting enough, she told me both her and Ivan would share it which was odd to me. As we were getting ready to leave, she told us that their protocol is to have the manager stop in to talk to the customer. We met Matt and he was again asking us questions about where do we live, etc. and told us they hope we will do business with them. I thought he was going to come in to ask how Kimberly's performance was. It was odd for him to come in to talk with us. Again, as we were about to leave, Ivan popped in to tell us something, I don't remember what it was. I told him that our appointment was with him so I didn't understand why he never came to introduce himself the entire time we were there as we stayed there a couple of hours (till closing time). He apologized. And so we left. Here is where things changed for us. We liked the car but after our visit, for the next week we were hounded between Ivan and Kimberly texting, calling and emailing me several times about the car or offering questions if we had any. That was an instant turn off because we felt like we were being stalked over a car purchase which shouldn't be. To stop the communication, I finally let them know that we would not be purchasing the car. They responded thanking us for letting them know. I thought that would stop the communication. It didn't. Ivan reached out again about looking at other cars. I blocked him at that point. Overall, I would say, if someone makes an appointment with a salesperson, let it be that salesperson to help us through the entire visit. Dealing with two people and getting communication from two people about a vehicle is a bit much and makes it look like desperation. Please stop.

I would strongly caution anyone considering paying Mercedes-Benz of Romeoville for a pre-purchase…read moreinspection. I paid $498 for what I was told would be a two-hour PPI on a 2021 Mercedes-AMG E63 S that I was purchasing remotely. Because I could not inspect the vehicle myself, I specifically chose a Mercedes-Benz dealership and relied on their expertise to tell me the true condition of the car before making a $91,000 purchase. Their inspection identified only two driver-assistance faults. I was sent a brief walk around video and engine video, along with basic tire and brake measurements, and was otherwise given the impression that the vehicle was in excellent condition. After purchasing the car and having it delivered, I was shocked by what had been missed. Nearly every panel on the vehicle appears to have been repainted, and multiple panels visibly do not match in color or finish. The passenger-side rear quarter area shows obvious prior paintwork. The front bumper is severely misaligned, with missing mounting hardware/brackets on the passenger side and is not properly secured. The paint also shows significant fading/sun exposure. These are not hidden mechanical problems that would require extensive diagnostics to discover. The paint mismatch and bodywork are visible simply by walking around the vehicle. I genuinely do not understand how a technician performing a two hour professional PPI could inspect this vehicle and fail to mention any of it. It gets worse. The vehicle's alignment was substantially off, requiring the steering wheel to be held noticeably to the left for the vehicle to drive straight. A proper road test should have caught this immediately. After the vehicle arrived in San Diego, I brought it directly to Mercedes-Benz of San Diego. The vehicle has now been there for over a week having all of the engine mounts replaced, another significant issue that was completely missed during the PPI. I paid Mercedes-Benz of Romeoville specifically to protect myself from this situation. Had they accurately reported the condition of the body, paint, alignment, and mechanical issues, I would have either substantially renegotiated the purchase or walked away from the vehicle altogether. Instead, I relied on their professional assessment and proceeded with a $91,000 purchase that I cannot simply undo. I now have to deal with extensive prior paintwork, mismatched panels, body repairs, alignment issues, mechanical repairs, and the effect all of this has on the vehicle's value and future resale. I understand that no PPI can guarantee a perfect used vehicle or uncover every possible hidden issue. However, missing nearly an entire vehicle's worth of repainting, obvious mismatched paint, a visibly misaligned and improperly secured bumper, a significantly off center alignment, and failed engine mounts is unacceptable for a $498, two hour inspection performed by a Mercedes Benz dealership. I am extremely disappointed. I trusted Mercedes-Benz of Romeoville's inspection to help me make an informed decision on a very expensive purchase, and in my experience, that inspection failed at its most basic purpose. I would not recommend relying on their pre purchase inspection service.

What an Amazing experience!!!…read more At first, when I bought the car, there was some minor issues... however, when I brought it up to this dealerships attention, they went above and beyond to make it right for me as a customer. My special thanks to Daniel Tucker for the best service I have ever received from a Sales rep.. and I have bought over 30 cars in my life time.. Most dealerships, wash their hands of a customer, once the car is sold, stating, you bought the car As-Is, however Napleton Maserati made sure to make it right, even with the small issue we noticed after the sale was done. I am from California, so realistically Napleton did not have to do anything, or could have simply said, it was an act of god or delivery company that caused it. But again, they did not let me down.. And for that, they get a A+ from this Marine Veteran ~ and if you are an out of state buyer, I recommend using their delivery company, b/c they warranty and guarantee your car will be delivered as promised in the pictures or videos they will send you, or they will cover any possible issues that a delivery company may have caused (if you use the delivery company they have). I used my own delivery company, and I regret it.. ~ however, instead of playing the blame game, Napleton service and sales managers reviewed the cars service record, and made it right for me. And for that I am extremely grateful. Thank you Napleton, Don (Director), Matt (sales manager) and Daniel Tucker (sales representative) , for putting me in my dream car that runs beautifully.

Buyers beware! 10/10 would NOT recommend this place!!! We have bought 2 vehicles from this place…read moreand have had nothing but problems with both of them. The first vehicle we purchased was a 2010 Chevy Silverado we purchased for our nephew in June 2025. He has had nothing but issues with the truck since day 1 of bringing it home and continues to have problems. We were told when we purchased the vehicle that if he ever needed parts for the vehicle, he could buy them from this place at cost. When he did need parts, he tried calling and was told they never sold him this vehicle. Fast forward 9 months later on March 28, 2026. We went back (hesitantly) to purchase a vehicle for our son. The truck we purchased for him seemed to be in great condition for a 2016 and figured since it was 6 years newer than the car we bought for our nephew, we may have better luck this time around. Jokes on me... You know what they say, "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me". I should have listened to my instincts. Within HOURS of bringing the truck home, the check engine light came on and had multiple codes relating to battery issues, transmission issues, etc. I spoke with Nick's wife on 4/13/26 relaying the information we found out and was told she would get back to me. She never did. Instead, she spoke with my husband and told him she would send him the information we could send the photos of the codes to so she can look into it. He never got that information either. Now, as of 4/23/26, I had to call them for an update on the codes I verbally told Nick's wife about on the phone on 4/13/26. Nick said he was waiting for my husband to get back to him and never heard from him. I explained the conversation my husband told me and he said he never said that to my husband and provided me with an email to send the photos of the codes to. This call was initiated due to the alternator going out on this truck already. I understand there will always be a risk with purchasing a used vehicle, but not this many issues within a month of purchase, more or less hours. I will be emailing Nick the photos but am not hopeful for a resolution based off other reviews regarding this company. I have a feeling this place is clearing codes in order to scam people into buying a vehicle from them and then acting like they didn't know anything about it when mentioned to them. Shop here at your own risk. I for sure will NEVER buy another vehicle from here and will warn whoever I can not to buy from here. I will also be filing a report with the BBB if I have to go that far. Update as of 5/14/26; when we purchased my son's vehicle, we mentioned 2 repairs that needed to be done. The first one was the motor for the seat didn't work and the second was a backup sensor that needed to be repaired. To this day, the sensor has yet to be replaced or even looked at due to the fact that they apparently don't have a service technician available on Saturdays, which happens to be the only time my husband and I are off work to take this in. I picked up the motor for the seat yesterday and upon pickup, I was told by their mechanic the motor that was given to me was pulled off another Ford. They couldn't even be bothered to order a new part for the vehicle they sold us even though we were told a new motor would be ordered and we had to wait for the part to come in and then to top it off, when I expressed concerns to Nick's wife about the vehicle since the day purchased, she claimed she had no idea and wasn't aware of the issues even though she is the person I originally mentioned them to. Furthermore, with the concerns relating to the bad alternator; we had this rebuilt by a local company and upon their inspection we were told "whoever rebuilt the alternator last time did a sloppy job. A screw from the internal voltage regulator was lodged into the stator which is what caused all the problems". How a faulty alternator was not caught by their mechanic when inspecting the vehicle prior to selling is beyond me. These people are lazy scam artists! I said it before and I will say it again, buyers beware!!! Avoid this place at all costs!!!

I came in on Friday to explore possibly trading in my current vehicle and see what deals were available. I want to specifically recognize Argenis, who was amazing throughout the process. He was patient, helpful, and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. His customer service was excellent and is the reason I stayed as long as I did. Unfortunately, my experience changed completely when it came time to discuss numbers and I was introduced to the service manager, Jose. When I asked questions, he was dismissive and, at one point, literally waved me off with the pen in his hand. As a returning customer who has spent money with this dealership and remained loyal for years, I found this behavior disrespectful and unprofessional. The moment I was made to feel like my questions and concerns didn't matter, all respect was lost and I decided I was done. No customer--especially a loyal, repeat customer--should be treated as though they're an inconvenience for asking questions about a major financial decision. I sincerely appreciate Argenis and the excellent service he provided, but my interaction with Jose left such a negative impression that I will seriously reconsider doing business with this dealership in the future.
