My boyfriend got a used 2013 F-150 with under 40k miles from these guys. At first they seemed very helpful and friendly. We test drove the truck and all was good until 5 minutes into the drive it started throwing a code. They said that if we were still interested, they'd fix it. We decided to get the truck and have them fix the sensor error.... Here's where the headache starts: They said it was still good to drive so we brought it home and took it back to get serviced, they said it would be a couple hours so I waited in the lobby. After nearly 5 hours or so he tells me that they couldn't program the sensor, but they replaced the old one and I'd have to take it back in another day. After hearing this we thought well, might as well just have them program the sensor, get an extra key, and install a carplay device while they had it next because the quotes were very good. I took the truck in a few days later for all of these services and he told me it would take a day or two. They gave me a rental car (one they were selling: a red Buick lacrosse) and after thirty minutes of driving the engine overheated and the car wouldn't drive. They had someone pick up that car and drop another off (thankfully this one wasn't a vegetable!!!) Then, After a week without the truck it was finally ready. We picked it up and there was no car play... so the truck was there for a week and only had a sensor programmed and got a new key.... Whatever, it's fine we took it home... until a week later when we were driving down a road and started smelling something nasty. Turns out the transmission line broke and it was leaking transmission fluid everywhere. Had to pay to have it towed to their shop. They fixed it with the parts we provided them with and it was ready in a day. Overall, I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that this was just unlucky... but at the very least it seems like they may not be thoroughly checking/test driving the vehicles they're selling beforehand so please beware.

You know it's unfortunate when you have to go to the mechanic, what you think is going to happen…read moreand what it's gonna cost rarely ever becomes that. As with our experience we went in thinking it was one thing that would cost $200 it ended up costing $400. However we had a chance to meet the staff at Honest and were very impressed. They performed an inspection on our car, and have a really cool software program that records it via short videos and pictures, and sent us a text with a link. This is a useful tool as you can go back in the future and decide what you want to fix, as it your budget allows. I would highly recommend checking this place out, the next time your vehicle is acting up.

My exhaust starting getting loud. I come to find out that my exhaust had rusted NEAR the flex pipe…read morewhere it attached to the y-pipe. Honest-1 (the District Manager) tells me that there is a "hole IN my flex pipe" and that the y-pipe is in really bad condition. He tells me that instead of paying $637, I should replace the y-pipe as well because it's not going to last me and I should just pay the $700. He told me I should make an appointment to get it done asap. He kept asking me "how about tomorrow", "how about Thursday"... I asked him to show me the hold in my flex pipe, but he wouldn't. I wasn't feeling to good about this. When I walked in to Honest-1 Auto Care (Ogden and Eola in Aurora), I immediately got a bad vibe. Can't really place it, but my gut felt something wasn't right about this place. Now, I'm female and over 50....don't know too much about cars but my gut had a feeling that because, 1) they would NOT take me to look under my car when I asked them (when they had it up in the air) and 2) the jargon they started mumbling about, trying to confuse me, felt off. I attached a picture of the real problem with my car. DO. NOT. GO to Honest-1. Had I not had that gut feeling and went with them, I'd be out a whole lot of money. They should change the name of their damn business!!! Epilogue: I took my vehicle to a place in Lombard for an estimate on referral from a friend. This auto care that I went to in Lombard took me under my car and showed me exactly what was wrong. He told me that the flex pipe did NOT have a hole in it and it just needed welding. He also showed me the y-pipe, which was in great condition as well. It ended up costing me $180! Please, save yourself some money - do not go to them - and I know the name is attractive and all, but they were all about the money.

This review is for Tobias King and Blair Berg…read more If you want to have a comfortable experience and be directed to the right car at the price you are willing to pay, see Tobias King, Sales Consultant at Enterprise Care Sales in Aurora. Tobias actually became a friend along the way. He patiently listened to what we were looking for, then brought the car up for a test drive. He answered all of our questions. We felt as if we could leave at any time, which is different from previous car purchase experiences. But we didn't want to leave because we were learning so much. Blair Berg gracefully walked us through financing and we obtained a better loan than we expected. Thanks to both Tobias and Blair for such a comfortable experience. John and Barb

I put a down payment on a vehicle to hold it a week before I picked it up. When I picked it up and got it home the car already had issues so I had to take it back. A random lady from the place called me to tell me the car was ready to be picked it but she couldn't even explain to me what was wrong with the car told me that's not her department. They gave me a loner car on full tank and i gave them my car on half i returned they car back full tank and they returned my car back on E don't know how that was fair and the lady again told me that's not her department i hate the experience i went through with this enterprise.
