Was soooo happy to find a cute coffee shop while visiting my family in Katy. When I asked my dad if there were any good coffee shops around he immediately went to Starbucks. ‍ Yelp to the rescue, please help this Seattleite.... Husband and dad got drips, and were very impressed (I believe it was the Kona Cloud blend?) and I got an iced Americano. Delicious, smooth, and sip worthy. The shop is nice and open, clean colors and decor that was really inviting. Loved the location as well! Easy parking and access right off the main road. Will recommend to any friends or family when they go to the greater Houston area!! read more

Cute yummy coffee shop. Location is great. Stopped to get gas next door and didn't have to get gas station coffee before heading out. It's close to all the neighborhoods. Only thing I'm not a fan of, is all the little kids that run around touching everything.... I like a chill coffee shop and not have to worry about stepping on someone's 3 year old that they can't control. The mother in line behind us did not care that her son was dragging the wet floor sign all over. Employees are great! The first time we came here was amazing, this time both our coffees were burnt. I asked the employee if she could change it out because the shots were burned she said "of course". I thought I saw her pour the burnt coffee into the sink but apparently she gave me the same one in a to go cup. I had already drove away but I just can't believe after I nicely asked her to change the burned coffee and put it in a to go cup, she just poured the same one for me. I should've said somthn when I felt the cup was very light weight but after changing the burned coffee I didn't wanna stress her too much. read more

Kona has become my new favorite study spot! I'm not a big coffee person but they have a nice selection of hot teas that I usually gravitate to. I've tried some of their musubis and sandwiches and every one that I've tried has been delicious (so far the tuna is my favorite). Service is great and the interior is super cute. I am from San Francisco but my family lives in Katy. I'll have to admit, in the years I've been in SF I've become a tad bit of a coffee shop snob. Not that I can tell the difference REALLY between a pour over and house at times but you know - I'm a bit fake bougie now. Anyway, this place is the only place around Cinco Ranch that has satisfied my taste for good coffee. They consistently have great service (all the baristas there are SUPER sweet) and the shop has a great vibe. It's a solid place to read or study though it can get a little loud on the week day afternoons from all the gossiping moms haha. I've tried a LOT of shops in the area but this is the one that I feel I can always reliably go back to and feel comfortable. They even helped me re-make an order today after we had a miscommunication about sugar in one of the lattes. Their pour overs are fantastic (take my review there as you will) but I'm giving these 5 stars for the amazing staff, consistent coffee, and enjoyable experience. I've been dying to go here after seeing in on like 10 of my friend's instagram stories! And they did not disappoint! I thought that the drinks were a little bit on the pricier side, but I can't really say if they are worth or not because I just got a simple Iced Americano. Their gelatto was really good! We got the chocolate and the salted caramel machiatto, and the chocolate one was super thick! According to my friend, it was like "straight up eating pieces of brownies in ice cream form." I'm usually not a huge fan of chocolate, but I actually liked their chocolate gelatto better than the salted caramel one. The inside decor and spaciousness is what really makes me want to return! With ample amounts of sunlight, green plants, and cleanliness, it was one of the best places to get some studying done. I'd probably come here pretty often if it wasn't so far from where I live. read more

Cute shop. Coffee is half way decent. Like most coffee shops they lack a dark roast. I get that they are catering to the younger crowd and millennials/young teenagers don't know good coffee if it smacked them in their face. GET A DARK ROAST AND I WILL GOVE YOU ANOTHER STAR. read more

Really like the ambiance and drinks here! Service is great, and there's a ton of space for customers to sit, relax and work. Hours are very convenient, as well. The Tropical Dream smoothie with avocado and banana is really really good. It's not too sweet and has great flavor. I also enjoyed their iced latte, but I'd like to come back to try more of their coffee and espresso items. If you're in the area, Kona Haven Coffee is definitely worth the stop! read more

For months I've planned to stop into Kona to try their coffee ...well this morning was that day and it did not disappoint. I ordered a Mocha with almond milk and a chocolate muffin to go. This Mocha ...yum, perfection !! The flavor is simply good and smooth and light to the taste but rich and creamy like Mocha should be. Inside the restaurant is so nice and spacious and the decor is modern and clean. The service was great. I was greeted and the staff were all super nice. I am so happy to have this little coffee shop close to my house. I love Kona coffee and all of the snacks and sandwiches sound delicious. The lattes are good and strong. My only complaint is that the shop smells so strongly of cleaning chemicals that it is unpleasant to sit inside at a table. A coffee shop should smell like coffee! I can only get my coffee to go! We came here later in the evening so the place was pretty empty and quiet. The space of the coffee shop is quite large with lots of tables and chairs, bigger than your average Starbucks. The barista was very friendly and attentive. We asked for a green tea latte and a flat white. The green tea latte was just the right amount of sweetness with the matcha and milk. It was warm enough to drink right away without scolding your tongue. I really enjoyed this place and hope to come back to try some of their food items like the mashubi. read more

I am absolutely in love with this place! Fresh ground coffee from Kona,and spacious atmosphere is perfect for studies and a nice breakfast. I ordered the Hazelnut Latte and it definitely caught me by surprise! So much better than Starbucks,Dunkin,etc. I definitely recommend the Hazelnut Latte with a dash of cinnamon;) Also all there baked goods are made in house,which you can definitely tell when you walk in with fresh aroma of ground coffee and baked scones! Been coming here every now and then but then kept on forgetting to check in. A much-needed true coffee shop in an otherwise coffee-barren part of town. Has a wonderfully wide selection of coffee beans and types with variety of brewing methods, an excellent assortment of filling food, cakes, and even gelato, and friendly service and bright, airy place with lots of seating. My go-to method of judging coffee is my basic order: a small drip coffee with neither cream nor sugar. And this place doesn't disappoint there. Sweet, well-balanced cup. Nothing extraordinary for the coffee snobs among us, but a well-balanced, palatable cup of joe can be hard to come by in a land of muddy Starbucks. I only wish it were a bit cheaper: $2.70 is a bit steep for a small "here" cup with $1.70 refills. I also would suggest at that price and in general to have a punch card for frequent customers: any drink free when you buy 10 drinks! In general, prices for all but the basic coffees and lattes aren't extremely cheap, but the quality of the coffee itself, service, and overall establishment are what you pay for and more than make up for it. Only caveats and recommendations: I don't think many will go for the expensive pour over options. Instead, bring in a larger variety of more economical options that many more would appreciate. Also, the internet is slow -- fast internet is a must in coffee shops! I've been to some excellent coffee shops in actual cities (sorry, Katy) and this compares and goes toe to toe with the best of them. The only rival it has in Katy (The Coffee Tale, inside Harvest Market) closed, presumably because a lack of business. This place is abuzz and hopefully won't meet the same fate. I plan to be back frequently. read more

I came here this morning for breakfast & coffee and I must say this place is super cute. I was a little disappointed when it said online and on yelp they served crepes and other food options. My husband loved his coffee even though it was kind of pricey ( $8 ) a cup. It's very big inside so maybe they will serve more food options and we can have breakfast here more often. read more

A much anticipated addition to the Katy coffee shop scene! This place is incredibly spacious and well-decorated, and I love that there are so many plants. The music isn't too loud, the lighting is good, they have free wifi, and there are outlets, which makes this a great place to study. There's also an area with couches - good for groups and socializing. There's also a lot of parking available. The staff is very sweet and welcoming and offered suggestions when I didn't know what to order. I ended up getting the iced caramel macchiato, which was sweet but not overwhelming. They also have really good cheesecake, and I'll definitely be coming back to try the gelato! I think I've found my new go-to study spot when I'm back in town :-) read more

Great coffee, great service - everyone super friendly - great location. Place is clean and has a laid back atmosphere. One of my new favorites! My only complaint, and it's not Kona's fault, is that both times I visited there were screaming (meltdown level) children running around. I despise this at any establishment unless it's specifically for children, and even then it's unacceptable at a certain level. Parents: if your child cannot be calmed within a few minutes, please remove them from the establishment so others may enjoy their time there. read more
