I came here for the first time for a UYE Coffee & Convos, hosted by long time Elite Yelper Sara. Located in Katy, in a shopping strip with other restaurants. It's a cutsey shop with an IG photo wall op, nicely decorated. A cafe with good amount of items both hot and cold. Service- was 5 stars. The owners are a husband/wife duo, awe. One of the owner, Wei (sp) rang me up, and helped me with any questions I had while ordering at the counter. She never rushed me or appeared annoyed as I asked multi questions. She gave service with a smile, which I love. Another staff member checked on us frequently throughout our stay, which I appreciated. Drink- I was torn between many options. There speciality menu had alot of cool things. I prefer hot drinks over cold. I asked Wei for a determination between Rose Latte and the Lavender Latte, she said if I wanted more floral to go with Rose. I haven't seen Rose Latte on a menu before, so I decided to go with that. She said the drink comes with 2 to 3 pumps of syrup. I wanted light sugar content, so I went with 1 pump. And perhaps that was the downfall of my own making. I didn't taste any Rose, but it was fine regular Latte. Food - I ordered the turkey, pesto & cheese croissant. And it was yummy. Would recommend. I would give this place another go if in the area. There is a huge variety of macarons in the shop. The most I have ever seen thus far. I am a huge macaron fan, and always searching for the best macarons. There are some unique flavors, and the colors are attractive. I also got a great service at the store. I bought the crème brûlée, vanilla, nutella, earl grey, blueberry cheesecake, and raspberry lychee rose. I also ordered a fruity milkshake. The crème brûlée was the best out of the six I bought. The flavor was strong. The vanilla flavor was ok. The Nutella macaron tasted more of chocolate. There wasn't any earl grey taste in my earl grey macaron. It was the same for the blueberry cheesecake, and raspberry lychee rose macarons (there was only a tad of raspberry jam). The flavors weren't strong. However, the macaron shells had a nice crunch and chewiness. As for the milkshake, it was mainly sugar with no flavor. It may be due to the quality of ice cream they use. read more

Deelish! Run, don't walk for some excellent macarons. I wish New Orleans had a Sweet Intensity location, because it would be my new favorite macaron shop. I was visiting Katy for my nephew's high school graduation and decided to drop in for a visit. I usually buy macarons from a local shop called Sucre, which does a great job at preparing this finicky product. As you probably know, all macarons are not made equal. Frankly, Sucre and Sweet Intensity have softened the heart of this once macaron-hater. And believe me, the hate was real. Having tasted so many mediocre versions, I didn't know what people loved about these things. Well, if you get your hands on a great one, you just might become a believer, too. I dare say Sweet Intensity's macarons are even better than Sucre's. Not only do they have three times as many flavors, but they're bigger and thicker than Sucre macarons. By macaron standards, these are huge. I tried the s'mores, cookies and cream, and biscoff (cookie butter). They were so good, I ate them in one sitting. They all tasted like they're namesakes. I wanted more, but I'd go broke and I didn't need the additional calories. Sucre's presentation game is still superior. The quality of they're packaging, boxes and bags, are gift-worthy. If Sweet Intensity ever elevates they're presentation, watch out! But then they'd probably have to charge more. Macarons are expensive, and right now Sweet Intensity offers a good value. Unfortunately, I only took one sad picture. I gobbled down the other flavors without Yelp community consideration. Yes, it was all about me at that point. read more

I absolutely adore French macarons. I had quite the addiction for some time, but I have been to rehab and I was almost recovered. Mostly because it's been awhile since I found any that were truly remarkable, but I've fallen off the wagon in the sweetest way! I wanted a cheat meal treat, so I headed to my trusty Yelp and it didn't let me down. This little bakery is about a 15-20 minute ride from my house and it's so worth the drive (although I hear they're available on DoorDash and maybe other delivery apps as well). We were greeted immediately upon walking into the store and given time to peruse their offerings with no rush. Upon inquiring on popular items, my husband took their suggestion of the chocolate cupcake in a cup, which is a fantastic idea BTW, but I have a standard list of favorite macarons that I must try at every macaron establishment. Those are the rose, honey lavender, and usually the tiramisu or caramel if available. I chose the former three, and they were all delicious. Delicate, fresh, moist, the perfect texture, strong flavors, but not too sweet...I could go on, but you get the point. They are also very nicely sized. If you're a macaron fan, you must try these. I have never seen such an interesting variety of macarons before and all yummy. The owner is very sweet and kind. She's always welcoming. Updated review: I have now tried all of the flavors I bought and some were way thicker than others. The chocolate ones were really sweet, the red velvet and blueberry tasted like cream cheese filling, and the cookie butter and cookies n creme were a little thicker and tougher to chew. I still enjoyed these, but I do wish there were more like the red velvet and blueberry! The cookie butter flavor was still very delicious I will say! Always make sure to wait a couple min for your macarons to be room temp before eating I ordered a dozen macarons- Coffee Cookies and creme Chocolate bourbon Red velvet Nutella Blueberry and more This place had a good amount of options whether you like something extreme, light, classic, or fruity. My friend and I tried the macaroons, cookie cheesecake, and Mexican hot chocolate and they were all absolutely delicious. I ordered a dozen in a variety of flavors: creme brûlée, goat fig, guava, raspberry lychee rose, rose, honey lavender, churros, black sesame, and red velvet. They are definitely incredible--the best macarons I've ever had! There is no hype in the five star reviews...these deserve all the praise, hands down. My favorites have been creme brûlée, black sesame, and goat fig. Creme brûlée has a strong vanilla flavor, black sesame has a toasted/sesame/tahini profile, and goat fig is hard to describe...it surprised me, in a very good way. The creme layer is thick, and the cookies themselves are soft and chewy. Each cookie I've tried has been bursting with flavor, without a lingering artificial taste. I'm sure as I make my way through the menu, I'll find more to add to my list of favorites. Do *not* sleep on Sweet Intensity! For $2.25/macaron, this is one of the cheaper places around. I come by this area quite often and came across this cute little spots after dinner, so dessert is a must! I wanted macaroons and a sweet drink so I decided to get the Butterfinger milkshake. I do want to say that the interior was nice and clean, very spacious. Parking lot was empty and there were plenty of space. The employee working was very nice, for a Yelp check-in I got 10% off. Overall, so far so good. So I got the salted caramel and pistachio macarons, both very sweet and actually very hard. typically, whenever I eat macaroons they're supposed to be soft and buttery and light, but these were a bit heavy for me. There was a strong caramel flavor but no salt, just a little overly sweet. The pistachio was lacking flavor and since the cookies were really hard, I didn't get to enjoy the filling as much. I was really looking forward to the Butterfinger milkshake, but there was barely any Butterfinger and it literally tasted like sweetened milk. The consistency was just like milk, there was no thickness in the shake. I'm giving two stars because of the overall taste, customer service, ambience, and everything in between. read more
