I've never had kolache factory until my company decided to cater them. Let me tell ya, they're so filling! Think of a Chinese bun but with thicker bun and a variety of options. I personally love the ranchero (ground ham, salsa, cheese and jalapeños). They're great in size, I can get filled with possibly 1 1/2. They're great on the go food as well!

Went here on a Sunday to grab a quick pick-up breakfast. We ordered online, and were able to pick up in about 15 minutes. I've never had anything like these before they are little (slightly sweet) buns filled with different breakfast sandwich fillings (e.g., sausage egg and bacon, chorizo, etc). My favorite was the chorizo!! We had to get lots so we could taste test them all. Only thing I would want is maybe a side sauce to dip in! Few tables inside, I think this place is more meant for pick up and take home

Kolache factory is great. So happy there is one outside of Texas! Store is small and clean. There was a bit of a line when we got there at 8:30AM but the line moved quick. Lots of different selections. We ordered the Texas hot link, sausage and gravy, and the soon to be discontinued special country breakfast. Everything was so tasty and bready. Definitely will return. Prices reasonable.

Bacon egg and cheese. Could use more cheese.

I had lived in Texas for about a year but never got around to having a kolache so I was excited to see there was a Kolache Factory here. I picked up the Potato egg and cheese; bacon egg and cheese; and the pecan smoked sausage. My favourite would have to be the pecan smoked sausage which had a pleasant savory smoky flavor. The other breakfast ones were a bit bland. However the bread was fresh and soft. I would return to try the croissants.

If you have not tried Kolache's, they are a must try. I would describe them as a ball of delight. My favorite are the more savory ones, but I know they also have sweet, pastry like flavors. The employees are always quick and helpful. My favorite flavor is the chorizo and egg, the potato, egg and cheese and the pizza one. However, they will all surprise you. There are a few high seat chairs inside if you want to have a quick bite. And there are two small tables on the outside too. The parking spaces get really busy but I always find parking in the shoping center.

My workplace provided the egg kolaches for brunch once and they were so good that I decided to stop by again today to try another flavor. I got the chicken enchilada kolache and the caramel macchiato. They heat up your kolache upon request and the outside was so soft and pillowy while the inside bursted with flavor. Will definitely come back to try other flavors!

Kolaches are a Czech pastry that has found its' way to OC. I heard there's more of these in Texas, which is where my boyfriend first discovered them. He was intrigued to see a Kolaches Factory in OC when he was visiting me. Since they are compact and convenient, they make a really good snack for the road. We decided to get some for our roadtrip to Santa Barbara. My boyfriend only asked for a few but I got a little carried away ordering. We got the following and I'll put notes next to the ones I tried. Flavor of the Month - San Antonio ($4.90) - Has eggs, potato, chorizo, and some other things. A lot of flavors. Ham & Cheese ($3.35) - We shared half half and the inside bits of ham were chopped up. Interesting. BBQ Beef ($3.95) - We shared this one and both not impressed. Really dry bbq. Sausage Cheese & Jalapeno ($3.75) 2 Bacon Egg & Cheese ($4.90/each) - One of my favorites, simple breakfast bite. Chorizo ($4.90) Sausage & Cheese ($3.75 value, complimentary with yelp check in) Cream Cheese ($2.45) - Reminds me of a danish but way more bready. Croissant Texas Apple ($6.95) - WARNING sweet AND SAVORY. This weird croissant has an apple pie filling meats BACON AND CHEDDAR. I couldn't bare a second bite. Blehhhhhh. They labelled the boxes in a mirrored point of way which is really counter intuitive. In general I feel like the kolaches had a bready exterior, very soft. I prefer the savory breakfast application. I would consider coming back in the future if I need food on the go, but I don't think I would crave it.

Have you had a Kolache? My first one was in Texas they are a bread or bun and the inside has food inside.. it reminded me of a breakfast burrito but no tortilla instead the bun we had the eggs potato and sausage, sausage cheese and jalapeño, Chorizo, eggs and cheese, thru bread has like a little bit of sweet and the inside is normal they a pretty good they were just as good as the ones in Texas. Something new to try.. we sat and ate there and the place always had one or two people coming in.. they also have sweet ones and lunch ones like Philly cheese steak, Korean bbq that one was good.. the place was clean and they serve coffee that was pretty good. The service was great everyone is nice. They also had a lot of pick up orders.

I had expected the business to be in a more high volume area, however a benefit of their corner spot was that the parking lot had plenty of spaces. There's no indoor seating, but outdoor tables were set up along the north and east perimeters of the building. I was by myself at this latest visit, and it was close to the end of the day so the inventory was quite depleted. There was no line at all which was not a surprise. The famous Strawberry Croissants and prepackaged items were on refrigerated display to the left when you walked in. As the service counter rounded a corner, there were more fresh baked goods on display before you reached a register. Across from the registers were shelves containing bags of fresh bread products. I bought a Strawberry Croissant, a Sticky Bun, a Ham and Cheese Croissant, and an Apple Croissant. The quality of the pastry dough was very good, and I could see why the Strawberry Croissant was a favorite with the customers. The croissants were light and flakey, and the powdered sugar added a delicate topping to the strawberry version. If I were to rate on just the Strawberry Croissant, then it would be five stars. My overall rating was downgraded because of the customer traffic flow. The lines can be optimized so that if you wanted to buy a six-pack of the Strawberry Croissants and/or anything prepackaged, then a separate queue should be arranged for those customers. The cafeteria trays were of limited use if you were not getting a large number of items. As you advanced in the queue, other products had to be requested from a worker behind the counter and then those were not placed on the tray. Ultimately, I think they can configure the operation to more efficiently handle the higher volume periods of the day.

No one was available to help and periodically she would yell over to see if I was ready to order in a very bad tone. When I asked about the cheesecake selection, she said "you have to wait 30 min." I then asked what flavor it is and she said "pandan pineapple" in an annoyed tone. I asked if there were any other flavors and she said "no because I still need to decorate. You should really come later at night." I'm used to bakeries selling out later in the day but I guess it's opposite here. As if it couldn't get worse, I asked her if there are any coffees she recommended, and she said "viet coffee." I then said viet coffee is usually too strong for me and asked if there were any other recommendations and she doubled down and used a horrible tone to say "I already said I recommend the viet coffee." Therefore I opted to just not order coffee at this time. I ended up still ordering 2 cookies: miso toffee which was too firm and the ube coconut which actually was well balanced and had a nice coconut filling. But service at the counter is very friendly and helpful. The ambiance is an outdoor cafe....noisy neighbors, wind when it blows, dogs, all the regular stuff - good seating and umbrellas with some areas naturally shaded...lots of tables relative to the size of the shop. Such a cute little bakery located inside the Mitsuwa! I come here whenever I'm craving a quick soft…read moreserve- it is such a sizeable portion for the price. I like getting the plain vanilla one, and it also comes with a little cereal at the bottom that gives it a good crunch. The coffee jelly milk is also great, it feels similar to a boba drink but it's a lot cheaper. Whenever I come here it's always the same lady who I'm sure is tired of seeing me lol, but she is so sweet and kind and patient when I have trouble deciding what to pick here! As for the pastries/desserts, the custard pudding cup deserves more love! I'm not sure if it's housemade here, but if you've ever been to Japan, it tastes exactly like the ones you buy from the konbini! I remember I would buy one almost every day of my trip, so I've grown cravings for it that Hamadaya satisfies in OC. The bavarian chocolate cream is a fun decadent pastry if you're into chocolate- comes with so many chocolate chips. The cheese bread is also a go-to for me if I'm in a savory mood- it's exactly what it sounds like, cheese and bread but who doesn't love those two things? Egg katsu sandwich is good if you're looking for something more substantial. The strawberry shortcake I've tried here was also good, but I did pick it up near their closing so it felt a little dried out. Definitely would recommend coming here earlier in the day for fresher and better selection of pastries!

The best bakery in town! Love the bread. It's fresh with minimal ingredients and tastes delicious…read more It's open early on Sundays before the rest of the restaurants. It's empty and easy to pickup pastries for breakfast. Kids love the hotdog pastries and the fruit tarts. Service is always great! Easy parking before everything else opens.

We bought 1 dozen cream puffs and we barely had 4 left because we couldn't stop stuffing our faces…read moreduring the ride home. 75 cents each. The cream puff custard is smooth and not too sweet. I am glad it is not whipped cream filling. The puff shell is simple and elegant not crunchy or stale (like some other places). Service is fast and friendly. We will be running back next week. We also got a bunch of other items, but haven't tried them yet. Store is small and clean. They accept credit cards with $1 fee

I just first wanted to remind you I'm a big foodie and always base on yelp review. I love cream…read morepuffs by all means and was looking forward to trying these. They sell by 75 cents each which is good. Parking a little tight but if you go on weekday it's not too bad. The lady who greeted me wasn't too friendly she literally started me down and looked like she just wanted to rush me out. Also guys they take cash only but if card use they charge $1 fee. So she took my order and went next door to charge my card but I didn't know next door was a coffee place guess they link together. Funny thing was she didn't smile and the man who came after me she greeted him with a smile because they are of the same ethnicity. Language wasn't an issue here but to stare at customer like that I'm not coming back there ever again. Even though the cream puffs were so good very soft and not too sweet. I always go by first experience and impression. I will be looking forward other bakery's in Garden Grove.
