Solid 3 stars! Kolaches were just okay to me. Dough was mostly super soft and delicious!! I did have at least one filled kolache where parts of the dough was still raw, needed a few more minutes in the oven. But the inside filling was actually still thoroughly cooked and was extremely flavorful. Cream cheese kolache had a lot of bread, not enough filling. I had never heard of a 'kolache' prior to moving to Texas, but I'm so glad I was introduced to this place. The Kolache Factory is a small shop that offers what the name suggests: kolaches. They do have some other items including crossaints and cinnamon buns, but 90% of their menu are different types of kolaches. They do have breakfast and lunch options, so I decided to try one of each. For $5.50 I got 2 kolaches, one pepperoni pizza and the other sausage, egg, and cheese. They also had very unique options such as Italian Chicken, BBQ brisket, etc. The sweet woman at the counter explained every option to me since I had never been before. I was surprised at how sweet the bread is... it tasted similar to those Hawaiian roles. The insides were toasty and warm, and I really enjoyed the flavor of each kolache, although one was significantly smaller than the other. Two was plenty to fill me up for lunch. The indoor seating area isn't too impressive, so this would be a place where I'd order my food to-go. They also had a drive through which could be convenient and two outdoor tables for when the weather's nice. Also note, they're only open until 2pm most days so get there early! But overall, this is a perfect spot to grab breakfast for coworkers or take kolache's home on the weekend. I'd definitely recommend. read more

The Ham, Egg, and Cheese Croissant at Kolache Factory is LIFE. Obviously, they don't only offer kolaches here. They have an assortment of pastries, croissants, and a variety of fillings/toppings. Some of the options are spinach pastries, cream cheese pastries, fruit pastries, BBQ pulled pork kolaches, potato and egg kolaches, stuffed croissants, and common wiener kolaches. I came back again recently and went inside the store to eat. There is a large selection of kolaches here. I got a bacon and egg, but it didn't taste like bacon. The bread was a little over done on it. The sausage and cheese one was the best out of the two, but it was just okay. *Previous Review Not impress. Had one of those HEB receipt coupons, so I thought I would give it a try on the way into work. With the coupon I bought more than I ever was going to eat, so I planned on sharing at work. Hard to do when you have no idea which kolache is which. They didn't label the bags and just tossed them in there. Free for all guessing game. The kolaches I'm used to are more elongated with no egg. There's has egg and is a giant bun ball. It was slightly warm when I received the bag in my car. Overall taste was not there for me either. read more

Do you like kolaches? Well, don't pass one of these places up! They have a large selection of kolaches from savory to sweet along with croissants. The dough is fresh, tender, and enjoyable - a good filling: dough ratio. I have tried a handful of different kolaches here and so far have concluded (my personal taste), that although the egg ones are tasty, I am not too much a fan of these. The little sausage with jalapenos is good but the sausage is skinnier than a Vienna sausage and its packed full of jalapenos. Its good, but not a favorite so far. The Philly cheese steak is definitely one of my favorites - cheesy and packed with meat, very flavorful. The jalapeno popper one is another favorite, full of cream cheese, jalapenos, and bacon. Very creamy and delicious! But beware, this one packs some heat. The sausage and gravy one was a surprisingly liked one..tasted just like sausage gravy and biscuits. Customer service was mixed, was OK a couple visits and a bit better than OK the other visits. The place was clean and their product reasonably priced. All in all I really do like this place and plan to visit again - soon! read more

I was visiting from out of town and stopped here to pick some up for my mom and I wish I had stopped at my KF. We arrived around noon and when walking into the place I was met with a weird smell (yes I'm hyper sensitive to smells and it can deter how I feel about a place) however my other half told me we couldn't show up at my moms house empty handed. At my store they have where you can text to buy 3 & get 3 free (the eclub) and when I asked the lady about it she looked at me like I had 2 heads. Yet I proceeded with picking out some kolaches. I just started naming out a few here and there and when I asked how many did I have she looked like I was bothering her (I was trying to get a dozen as you get a small discount). She proceeded to start putting them in the box and she let me know that she would label them however when we went over them she didn't label them correctly. I am strongly recommending this location for catering. We had a catering order set up with a different vendor, but a day before the event, no one could reach that place. With only one day's notice, even though my event was downtown and this Kolache Factory location is way up north on Parmer, they stepped up to deliver my LARGE order at 7am! This place is a hit or miss. When you get it fresh, it can be good, but when its not, it really isn't. We always get a mix of sweet and salty kolaches and the salty ones are really filllng and rich. They tend to be hotter and fresher than the fruity sweet ones. I am not sure if we will frequent this place again based on the inconsistency. They do offer deals and that's why we tried it. But there are so many more better kolache places especially ones that offer warm, fresh softer bread to go to. But if you are hungry and need a quick snack and are right there, go try it yourself :) read more

I was just treated very poorly by the male representative for this eatery. While ordering thru UberEats, the app said my order was ready. Upon arrival I was told the order was not ready. This area is very loud due to potential traffic. I told the representative that I could not hear him. Instead of speaking up a little bit, he chose to speak in the same low monotone pitch as before. He then had me wait 10-15 mins. before receiving my order. He was very rude and condescending. This was not a good experience from this small business.
