Niki udon with panko on the side

Happy to find a restaurant in north shore that serves mostly udon (think Yume in Seaport and Cambridge ) . The spicy udon is legitimately spicy! I would scoop out majority from the bowl before mixing into the broth. You can see it's the size of a meatball! If you don't, the spice will overpower the savory dashi broth. Udon noodles are cooked perfectly (chewy). Previously a Thai restaurant, I am glad Kokoro is there now. Free parking in front of the restaurant

Love that there's a place near me where i can get delicious udon and not have to drive down to seaport or porter square to get me some yume. And what's even better is that the menu here has more broth variety as well. Today, i tried the niku udon, paiten shoyu udon, paitan miso udon and the dandan udon. Honestly, all were so delicious. Can't wait to come back for more.

I was looking for an udon place closer to home when I don't want to drive into Cambridge for Yume but I haven't found it yet. I ordered the: -Niku Udon: the meat was so so dry and tasted off. The broth had no depth to it, tasted exactly like the premade broths from the udon kits at Hmart. I expected some richness from the broth. The only upside to this dish was the noodles. -Tori Paitan Spicy Miso Udon: the broth had more flavor and depth than the niku udon. Again, in this dish the meat was also dry. A little too heavy handed on the chili oil which coated your mouth as you ate it. Service: You order by yourself using a QR code. Not a fan of the added transaction fee, I'd rather order the regular way. The store was so quiet and the waitresses were standing around, why not just make the experience more personal?

Excellent. Firm, substantial homemade noodles. Soup is smooth and flavorful. Gyoza, sausages, and spicy cucumber were also great. Nice casual and comfortable space. The owner was warm and welcoming, and appreciated our business, which is always nice. Will be back again soon.

We got the Tori Paitan Spicy Miso Udon with chicken and the Cold Niku Bukkake Udon. Both were very good, but for us the hot and spicy miso was the favorite. They served the ten-katsu crunch on the side for the miso which was a nice touch. The same dish is available in a non spicy version. The table QR code system was easy, and our friendly server also offered to take our order if we preferred. We were fine with the system as is and found it to be straight forward. The decor style is very classic Japanese - dark wood look. Comfortable and not too formal but nice. We parked on street not too far away - downtown with several options and very easy on a Sunday.

Such a cute hidden udon spot! We got the hot niku udon soup and the broth was delicious. The meat was also amazing without being too chewy. We also ordered takoyaki and shrimp tempura. Everything was great and I have nothing bad to say about this location. The booth area was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely comeback!

I ordered cold niku bukake, the beef is delicious, i wanna like the cold broth, but i cant. They did say its cold udon and i thought only the udon is cold the broth still hot i am wrong. Its my fault to want to venture out of regular soup. It the fat from the beef floating on my bowl. It was delicious but I don't think my cup of tea. My husband had tori miso udon, that one is delicious the broth is amazing and the udon soft but slippery which is understandable. We also ordered shrimp tempura. Delish! If you are hungry dont come here it took a while to come. But it worth the wait. Also another problem is the ordering app is not user-friendly. Just like their other restaurant akita ramen the ordering system need to be fix. The resturant is beautiful.

Food it good cute place to eat but you don't have a waitress or water you order the food your self . Very fresh tasting but pricey

Food came out fast and they were very attentive and asked my friends and I how was the service and everything. We told them they were great. Currently they are on their soft opening period and only serve 4 types of udon. Spicy niku cold udon, cold udon. Spicy hot udon and regular hot udon. Flavor was great and I'm glad it's close by. Use to always drive into Cambridge for udon so this being close is awesome. Owner came out and informed us that when they are fully opened their menu will have more udon items.

Tasty food and quick service. I prefer this spot over any other local udon / ramen places.

The atmosphere is upscale yet welcoming--modern decor, lively vibe without being overwhelmingly loud The staff was super attentive and friendly from the moment we walked in, making great recommendations. We started with the salt & pepper calamari and some dumplings--both were fresh, perfectly crispy, and packed with flavor. For mains, the fried rice was spot-on (flavorful and not greasy at all), and the torched tuna with truffle butter sauce was absolutely divine--such a creative fusion twist! The sushi options looked incredible too, and everything came out hot and beautifully presented. Portions are generous, and the quality really stands out compared to other places nearby. Drinks were solid as well if you're into cocktails. We'll definitely be back--it's become our go-to for date nights or when we crave something a little special. Highly recommend Karma if you're in the Andover area.

The food and drinks were very good and we were even brought ice cream for some birthday singing!! The only reason I am giving this 4 vs. 5 stars is the atmosphere was not what I expected after looking at the high gloss menu and the price point. The Salmon on Fire was delicious and honorable mention goes to the Dragon Fire roll (sushi rolls are giant).

A really nice ramen place to visit on cold winter days!…read more We've been here a few times in the past year and we're always pleased with the quality and flavor. We've ordered tonkatsu ramen, spicy Tokyo ramen, takoyaki, gyoza, the matcha latte, sake, calpico, and likely some other things over the visits and it's also delicious. The restaurant has an authentic feel and is decorated with a lot of vintage Japanese memorabilia and posts and such, it lends a nice vibe to the food. Service is a bit laid back, all orders are done via an app or website and the servers simply bring the food to you. But they are attentive with water refills and bussing of tables so it's not lazy. I recommend Akita!

Good food, horrible service, nice atmosphere, high price food…read more The food is really good. No complaints. It's the service that's horrible. She forgot about my daughter's food, I ordered a kids meal and OJ, and then I changed it... and she said OJ cost way more...and then she forgot about my change - which she got mad it. Why am I paying 11% tip if I had to keep getting up to ask her for things? $12 tip? More like $5.... If that. Mandatory tip is bs.

We were a group of 6 people and were seated right away. They have an extensive menu for food and drinks. Everything is Japanese with some Peruvian flavours. For drinks half of us tried the fruit juices, made fresh. The other half opted for beer. The fruit juice was more like a smoothie. It was incredible and I would have definitely ordered more if I weren't full. It came in a strawberry and a pineapple flavour. I got the strawberry-ginger and it was very refreshing. For appetizers we got vegetable tempura, a shrimp wrapped in plantain tempura, and a chicken avocado tart of some sort. The veg tempura were meh but the rest of the appetizers were phenomenal. Especially the shrimp wrapped in plantain! For mains, some of us got seafood soba noodles, sushi and a fish dish. The food was pretty unique. The soba noodles did not look like soba, I think they used regular ramen noodles instead. However the sauce and seafood flavours were such a hit! Great find in Lawrence! Overall great experience. The service could be nicer. Will definitely be back for an after work dinner.
