The AYCE sushi was good and the service was wonderful! The server and owner were very kind to mom's 90th birthday celebration. Surprised her with ice cream boat and singing. Food was incredible and delicious! They gave you abundantly good and enormous amount of food! Must try this place out!
I love AYCE. The sushi was fresh out server Hannah was super sweet and bubbly. Everything is ordered on the tablet. Too bad their happy hour is just beer. I loved the decor especially the shiny disco bear lol
I visited here while on a work trip with a few colleagues to catch up, and overall we had a great time here as the space was quiet and allowed us to have good conversations. In terms of food quality, it was pretty good, as majority of the items were tasty in conventional manners, which meant good and not really having a lot of highlight moments. Each piece of sashimi was only $1 which made it overall affordable and a good experience to try multiple types of sashimi. Most of the appetizers such as the shrimp tempura, the crab stick tempura, and so on, were also very affordable. Since neither my colleagues or I were big eaters, those appetizers themselves were able to make us quite full. We also had a couple of special rolls and enjoyed them. There weren't much to say about how they tasted other than they offered a conventionally good special roll experience. Because of its walkable location, I could imagine many people that worked within the area use this spot as a convenient lunch place, and I would endorse that myself as well.
This place was so cute and in all honesty is probably the second best sushi spot I've been to in Phoenix. To place an order for food you don't have to wait for the waiter and everything was placed by using an IPad which is something that I've never seen before and I thought it was very innovative. The decorations on the inside are cute and I wish that my mom liked sushi because she would love to explore the restaurant and take pictures.
My new favorite AYCE sushi. I haven't been multiple times and keep bringing my friends back. I live that you order with a tablet, so you don't have to bother the waitress, and they don't forget to put your order in. We tried their apps, noodles, and carpaccios, all so good. My absolute favorite is the seared salmon nigiri. Their nigiri really impressed me, the rice portion isn't huge, and the presentation was still good! I have been let down by a lot of AYCE sushi spots but this is not one of them! They're not too busy and the interior is decorated, clean, and spacious.

One thing to know ahead of time is that the whole table has to choose either the à la carte menu or the all-you-can-eat option and you can't mix the two. The all-you-can-eat is around $34 per person, and honestly it's a great deal. You order from a tablet and they bring out up to four items at a time, which makes it easy to try a variety without over-ordering. On this visit I had the udon with shrimp tempura along with several sushi selections, and everything was fresh and nicely presented. I also like that they bring out multiple sauces, ginger, and sides and it makes the meal feel more complete. Service has always been friendly, the space is clean and comfortable, and it's a reliable dinner spot in Tempe that I'll keep coming back to.
I found out about Koi Sushi online and thought it looked awesome. Located in Tempe, right off the highway, I think it shares a parking lot/area with a hotel. When I arrived around 545p on a Thursday, the parking lot closest to the restaurant was pretty full. Some of my friends had to park a little further. So just be aware of that. I don't think they offer reservations, but our party of 8 was seated immediately which was great! I LOVED the ambiance here, everything was so pretty and colorful. We all did the AYCE sushi lover deal which gives you access to the entire menu, minus the sashimi. There were a few iPads for us to order from and the food came out pretty quickly afterwards. Marcus and Brian were our servers and were super awesome and friendly. Some of the items I tried were: Las Vegas Roll, Koi Signature Roll, Popcorn Lobster Roll, Tropical Romance Roll and California Roll. These were all great, but the one that stood out the most to me was the Sweet Potato Hand roll, which was very flavorful and delicious, I would recommend this. We also ordered the following appetizers: cream cheese wontons, jalapeño poppers, yakisoba noodles and the golden buns which was probably another favorite of mine. Everything was great! Other items that were ordered that people liked were the spring rolls, fried rice and crimson lover roll. We also tried the ice cream and I really liked the cookies and cream flavor the most but the green tea was a close second. I can't recommend this place enough and will definitely be back.
Koi Sushi is a fairly new AYCE sushi restaurant in this area. We came here for an early dinner on Valentine's Day, and it was definitely already packed. They gave us a restaurant pager to alert us when our table was ready, and it only took about 10 minutes! The ambiance inside is absolutely stunning. There's accents of gold all around the restaurant, and it really feels like you're in a fancy, high end place. I also suggest checking out the bathroom, it's gorgeous! What I love the most about this restaurant is that each table has a tablet to place your order. This makes it not only easier but much faster for your food to come out. Once your order is submitted, a robot will deliver your food at your table. The quality of the fish is nice and fresh, and everything tasted great. The menu is extensive and they have so many alternate options other than sushi. Will definitely be coming back here!
I came here on March 20th around 7pm, and wow, this place was packed! The quoted wait time for a table of three was about an hour and a half. Honestly, we almost went somewhere else, but the manager was so friendly and genuine that we decided to stick it out. I'm glad we did because we were seated in about 50 minutes, which wasn't bad at all considering how busy it was. Once we sat down, our server greeted us with a big smile and made us feel right at home. We ordered some hot sake to start (because why not?) and began with a few simple rolls. Everything was good, but when the sashimi came out, game changer. The pieces were massive, and the salmon literally melted in your mouth. My personal favorite was the eel, perfectly tender and full of flavor. Bonus points for having fresh wasabi available for a small upcharge, but totally worth it. The only miss for me was that any roll with mayo turned into a bit of a mushy situation. It kind of overpowered the other flavors. Not a dealbreaker, but something I'll keep an eye on for next time. Overall, Koi absolutely earned a second visit. Between the friendly service, generous portions, and that melt-in-your-mouth sashimi, it's easy to see why this spot stays so busy.
Such a beautiful AYCE sushi place! I do love how there is vegetable sushi choices and lots of great side dishes and appetizers. My favorite was the sweet potato sushi. The sweet potato was deep fried and had the perfect crunch. James our server was spectacular. Once the tablet is set up you can order up to 12 items at a time with a 5 minute buffer. You also get to pick your tier of choice. Lunch is $24.99 from 11am-3pm which does not include eel, koi sig, crazy tuna, popcorn lobster, and carpaccio. Sushi tier is $34.99 which includes a limit of 3 carpaccio. Then Sashimi at $42.99 that has unlimited carpaccio. With a choice of 3 out of 5 (soft shell crab, snowcrab leg, wagyu beef nigiri, Japanese scallop, sweet shrimp). I would definitely come back to koi sushi. We were seated quickly, but unfortunately our table wasn't acknowledged and after 10 minutes my boyfriend said something. I understand places get busy but a "be right with you" would be nice.
If you are craving all you can eat sushi, Koi Sushi is the place to go. We went for the all you can eat $35 dinner during the week and left STUFFED. For the dinner deal we got, we got three orders of carpaccio included which were all amazing. My favorite roll of the night was the crimson heart, by far. The Las Vegas roll was also amazing, but that's usually my favorite whenever I go to sushi. We sat in the front of the restaurant and got there before the crowd so our service was really fast. I love how hip this place is with cool anime characters on the wall behind where they make the sushi and eye catching decor when you walk in. Our server said they're getting their liquor license soon so I'd imagine they'd have sake soon too. Check it out!
This place was honestly really good and hit just the right spot! Our waiter was also very friendly and helpful and made our experience even better. The place was really clean and had a cool atmosphere. The sushi pieces were huge they definitely didn't skimp out on the amount of fish. Overall, I really delicious and will definitely be back with more friends!
I didn't hate or love Koi, I thought the food was just fine. It would have lowered my rating to a 3/5 but the service was fantastic and the AYCE pricing is unbeatable. All of the rolls tasted average. Nothing stood out. We don't like the super complicated rolls that have tons of sauce or toppings. We prefer to eat rolls that are simple so there was nothing really to like or dislike. The yellowtail roll was fresh. I did not like the spicy salmon or spicy tuna roll though.. it tasted grainy and had filler in it or something. We had a few nigiri options and those were ok too. I really liked the fried rice though -- great flavor. A few servers checking on us throughout our meal -- waters were always filled, dirty plates were always cleared, and food came out fast. We were happy with the service. The portions are great -- on the smaller side so you can try a variety without filling up on any options. The price is really good during lunch and we left full. We would come back to Koi for another try.

We came on a Saturday a little before noon and we did all you can eat. We were greeted right away. Service was phenomenal from our waiter. Super kind and thoughtful. You order from an iPad which is easy and convenient. Every time we ordered nothing was missed and came out quickly. We tried so many things I can't list it all but basically there was not much I didn't enjoy or anything really. Good cuts of sushi with good flavor, same with the rolls I forgot to grab pictures of the food lol but I was truly enjoying myself This will be my new go to spot for sushi By 1pm it was quite crowded and I heard it can stay busy with a line outside. Lots of seating. Good place for a date or a group of friends. read more
An AYCE Sushi place is a must-try whenever I get a chance to really indulge, sample, and try a variety of things... and yes, I need to really be hungry, and it better be a cheat day!! The hype around Koi sparked my interest, and after my last experience with an AYCE Sushi spot, I was ready for a change-up. The hype from online, I would say matches the vibe. Fun atmosphere is what you feel when you walk in, with photo friendly spots before you sit. They have a sushi bar that you can see from one side but no direct seating, so for those who like to watch the details when making, you're not gonna catch it here. I've been here 3 times mainly for the lunch menu as it was convenient and budget friendly. Dinner and the sashimi option are higher, and I'll consider down the road. Ordering from the tablet is great as you visually know what you're getting but also get those specific details & options with items, which are helpful. I do like that once you let your server know what option you're choosing, those items show up and anything outside of that is à la carte, if I remember correctly. One of my surprise favorites that I took to several times... The Avocado Salad. I know, but it just stood out to me on all my visits. As far as sushi, it was what we expected... Nicely tight rolls that didn't look rushed and items from the kitchen came out in waves with many of the other tables' kitchen orders. Portion sizes were just right as I didn't feel overloaded with any particular item. At the time of our experience, it was $27 for lunch. Dinner all depends if you do Sashimi (which is up my alley) and is $45. (Dinner Sushi Lover is $37). Not a cheap lunch, but definitely elevated over many of the other places. read more
We've been to Koi Sushi a few times now for their all-you-can-eat menu, and it continues to be one of our favorite sushi spots in the area. I absolutely love the decorations here, both inside and out. The restaurant has such a peaceful, welcoming vibe with a modern interior that feels upscale without being intimidating. It's clean and relaxing. And can we take a moment to appreciate the clean bathrooms and spacious seating? Whee! It's the little things that make me happy. Service was wonderful from start to finish. The servers were quick, attentive, and friendly, and I loved how easy it was to order using the tablet at the table. There are several AYCE tiers to choose from depending on what you're craving, including a deluxe option if you're in the mood to splurge on even more premium selections. The fish has consistently been incredibly fresh, and the carpaccio was one of my favorite parts of the meal. There are several different carpaccio options, and every one we tried was delicious. The sauces complemented the fresh fish beautifully without overpowering it, making each bite bright, balanced, and refreshing. One of my favorite discoveries was the "Choose 3" deluxe option. You get to mix and match premium items like Wagyu, sweet shrimp, and scallops--and yes, the soft-shell crab is another choice! It was such a fun way to sample several specialties without having to choose just one. With the relaxing atmosphere and music, between the consistently fresh fish, attentive service, beautiful space, and generous AYCE selections, it's definitely a restaurant I'll keep coming back to. read more

Koi Sushi is a welcomed new AYCE spot to Tempe. It's the closest AYCE to me now. It took over what previously was a Macayo's Mexican restaurant. It's easily accessed right off the 202 fwy. The interior has been transformed into a cool spot with lots of seating, a sushi bar where they are making the sushi (no seating), a large metal mouse statue at the entrance, some faux cherry blossom trees, a "bar bar" sign but with glassware but no booze yet. I read elsewhere there's no liquor license yet due to the newness of the place. I can't confirm that is correct, but I can confirm there was no alcohol on the menu. We had a party of 3 for the dinner menu, the sushi option, no sashimi. I am a fan of ordering items from a tablet , this is the second AYCE restaurant using tablets I've been to. Keeps the flow of ordering ongoing without having to flag anyone down. Overall the food was good and items kept coming to the table at a decent pace. Our server was friendly and checked on us regularly. The chicken wings on the appetizer menu are really good. Definitely glad we had those in addition to the seafood items. I liked the carpaccio with jalapeños on it. I also liked the popcorn lobster roll and I generally enjoy unagi at sushi restaurants so I ordered a bunch of that. I would have given 5 stars to Koi, except I was bummed that none of our items came out with the fun sushi boat presentation that people commented on. I wonder if they only do this when ordering the sashimi option. Either way, I was looking forward it, and it didn't happen so that drops my rating just a tad. Otherwise, the experience was overall very good! read more

Super fast service even if they are busy, ordering is done through the ipad. The staff here are super super friendly, especially Daniel, Alyssa, Juliet, and Brian. They've been my servers in the past, and were always so willing to provide recommendations, bring everything out for birthdays/celebrations, and quickly bring us whatever we needed for the table. Waters were always full. My favorites from the food are the salmon and seared salmon nigiri, eel avocado roll, and the cream cheese wontons. This place is very lively and colorful. Would absolutely return again on the level of service alone! read more
To all the sushi lovers, there's a new AYCE sushi spot located in Tempe! First off the quality of the sushi is great! We decided to go with the $42 Sashimi lover which included a ton of options which include specialty rolls, deep fried rolls, veggie rolls, nigiri, sashimi, appetizers, soups, noodles/rice and sides. They have the menu on an iPad which is where you're able to add your orders. The items come out fairly quick but not all at once which is a great way to pace yourselves. You're able to order multiple rounds and once you're done they also offer ice cream (vanilla, green tea and cookies and cream). Service was great despite the restaurant being fully packed on a Saturday evening. The restaurant has a nice aesthetic, feels more like a high end AYCE. If you're a sushi lover, you won't be disappointed going here. I'd say this is worth the $42 Sashimi option. read more
Wow everything in here is beautiful, even the bathroom! Great ambiance as soon as you walk in! My server Logan was amazing! So love the iPad for ordering! I went with the $42 sashimi lover to get access to the full menu. Totally with it! I only wish they had power outlets so I could work while I my food! Surf clan and octopus carpaccio?! Yes please! I loved the salad options! Would only suggest a stronger dressing flavor and firmer avocado but truly this experience was perfection from variety to quality to service! Well, worth the bellyache I'm going to have all night! And save room for the complementary ice cream at the end of your meal. The cookies and cream is unbelievable and ask for the golden buns to go with it. I definitely recommend stopping by during their soft opening because they're being incredibly generous to their guests and letting you enjoy more without worry about leftovers. I do hope they'll offer smaller portions once they go official because I would love to keep coming back and trying as many things as I can each visit it! Can't wait to come back! read more
Food was excellent, rice to fish ratio was on point. Service was good and staff was friendly. The place had a hip club vibe. It can be loud in there, but that didn't bother us. We checked this place out based on a yelp suggestion, and we were happy we went. Would recommend. read more
Another new sushi AYCE! Sushi lover like me and big eater like hubby, of course we were excited to try for their soft opening! Lol We went with 4 other couples and we ate soo much! We all love the modern and vibrant ambiance. FYI as of now they are still waiting on alcohol license so we ordered tea instead lol Our server was attentive and funny. The menu and presentation is very similar to A sushi but you order on ipad instead of writing it on the paper. I suspected it is under same ownership. All the food was on point that night! We all loved the seared salmon nigiri, spicy scallop sushi, the salmon and yellowtail sashimi, yellowtail carpaccio, white tuna carpaccio. The rolls were good too but we did not want to eat too much rice. Everyone was happy and said they will back. read more

Solid experience, waiter Josiah amazing personality. Josiah explained the process perfectly since it was my first experience. All you can eat sushi my top favorite experience. Price is excellent for lunch $24.99. I'll be back for dinner all you can eat $34.99. The interior is very pleasant sleek modern design with a tech undertone. Speaking of tech love the scroll thru tablet sushi menu. I sampled several rolls. I'll be back to sample other items. The little to go bag mad cute. Very well done. To flavor the spicy garlic edamame bomb and squid skin salad winners. The rolls solid great flavor. Presentation of rolls well done. Fluffy grandma recommends and will be back. read more

The AYCE was great! For the $36 price, you can order 3 plates of Carpaccio : I choose the Seared Black Pepper Tuna, salmon and White tuna (which was my fav!). Everything else was yummy too. Our server was nice to bring me extra sauces knowing I like spicy. read more

All of it was great especially the short ribs. Had several rolls too. Rainbow, dragon, sunset garden, seafood dynamite, and golden shrimp tempura roll. All of them were great. Most all you can eat sushi restaurants skimp on the quality. Not Koi. Koi has quickly became my favorite sushi place in town. The quality is great, the fish is fresh, the atmosphere is fun, and the price is right. Check out Koi, you will be glad you did. read more
All you can eat. Still in their soft opening. Came right at opening time and it quickly filled up soon after. Very cute esthetically, with a cherry blossom tree and a gigantic neon teddy bear welcoming you in. Sushi bar has a wall dedicated to anime figures. Server Aimee was very sweet, hospitable and helpful! Filled up on all things deep fried, to ramen, to sushi. Prepared to be wowed when ordering a Chef's Special Roll. read more

This was our first visit and we were a little hesitant as it said all you can eat, and we weren't sure the quality would be at the level it was It far surpassed all of our expectations. The pricing was great. We tried many rolls soup tempura. The service was exceptional, kind and efficient. Had the chance to visit during their soft launch and I'm confident this place is going to do very well. The service was excellent, friendly, attentive, and efficient and the food came out impressively fast. The all-you-can-eat format was done right: servings were perfectly portioned, allowing you to try a variety without feeling overwhelmed or wasteful. Presentation was thoughtful and visually appealing, which made the experience feel elevated rather than rushed. Ordering was incredibly easy through the iPad system, which included clear pictures of each dish which is super helpful and intuitive. Everything from start to finish felt smooth and well thought out, especially for a soft opening. Great food, great service, great execution. Looking forward to coming back again. read more
This new place opened in Tempe in January, me and my daughter went to try it, if you go with kids make sure they will eat and know that the whole table needs to do either all you can eat or à la carte, they went up in price to 36.99 for the all you can eat sushi and appetizers. The place it's self was super pretty and really cool vibe, our server which I know forgot his name was extremely nice and attentive along with whole stuff being on top of everything constantly. I'm a big sushi fan and I can say I did eat my moneys worth lol!! Literally I had 13 plates and I had to repeat the shrimp tempura because it was soooo good!!! Everything tasted great and super fresh, my daughter is a big ramen fan and she was super happy with it and the spring rolls. We spent about 80$ and were soooo full I couldn't eat the next day. I'm deff coming back next week with her and brining her little big back friends so they can all enjoy it. read more

Great all you can eat sushi's. Food is fresh and very tasty. Very reasonably priced to option sushi lover for $35 and sashimi lovers for $44 which I recommend because you get every thing on the menu. read more

By far the best Sushi restaurant I've ever been in! Large meaty pieces of sushi with outstanding flavor. The staff is very accommodating and provides top notch service. The atmosphere leaves you believing you are in another country! read more
