Got told at work to get a pair of dress pants. No more jeans. Called 2 local El Cajon chain stores without much luck. Need pants with an elastic waistband due to a health issue that can make me gain up to 5 or more pounds in one day. I then lose it but need those stretchy pants. 1st store tried hard but no luck. Second store put me on hold and as my work phone has a timer, after 10 minutes. I gave up. So called Kohl's in Santee per a recommendation from one of co-workers. Got straight though the Men's department. Seamus answered to phone and found exactly what I needed. Said he'd leave the pants at customer service and sure enough. Did just that. Purchased 3 items in store yesterday and they forgot to put one in the bag and i didn't notice it till i got home, which is fine honest mistake on there end. So, I called and spoke to a lady in customer service that said she found the item and would save it in the back. So i went today and the sir that was working in customer service around 4:15 pm june 29th, made no effort in trying to look for the item and i explained i spoke to a lady the day prior and he checked the list to see who was working and didn't even make an effort to call anyone and find out where was my item THAT I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR AND WAS MISSING!?!? So my husband had to go into the store and the sir ROLLED HIS EYES AT HIM !!! like are you serious?!?! My husband then got angry and thats when this employee starting moving and magically found the item. Let's just say I posted a 1 star review on yelp in the time it took to resolve your issue and get my order. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. The system in store did not show me for pick up so they said my wife had to come pick up. I showed them an email on my phone that showed my name for pick up. The email had pictures of the order (didn't bother to go get the order to match it). The visa used to pay for the order is mine. There were basically a million common sense ways to figure out that this was my order. Two different people told me my wife would have to come from 30 miles away where we live to pick up the kid's Easter clothes. Meanwhile, my dinner was getting cold in the car because this was supposed to be fast and easy. Livid. To top it off, I got a survey from Kohls and they make a point that they may or may not respond. I just bought a plum Fitbit Blaze from Kohl's dept store in Santee, CA and when I opened it instead of the device there was a black piece of plastic attached to the band. It was all wrapped and taped up like the box was brand new but the actual device was nowhere inside the box. I called Kohls back and they told me to come in to return the item. When I got there the shift manager CAMERON was completely rude and dismissive about the issue stating that it might or might not have been us who took out the device and replaced it with the plastic. Instead of trying to help us out with the issue he accused us of possibly having taken the device out and exchanged it for a black piece of plastic. I was extremely angry to be treated that way as I have been a Fitbit customer for years and have previously purchased three Fitbit items (Charge, Charge HR, and Alta) through both Costco and Kohl's. He would have seen that had he bothered to look at my purchase history as a customer or have paid any attention to the issue. The manager stated that "Fitbit wouldn't have shipped this to us like this" and that there would need to be an investigation to see we were at fault. He didn't even look at our receipt which proved we had just bought the device a few hours earlier. He didn't even acknowledge that we were at the store close to midnight trying to fix their problem and just kept telling us to call corporate. I have never been treated this way before. When I pressed him to do something he threatened to call the cops for no reason!!!! I wasn't even angry until he said that. I asked him if he was going to do anything and he said "No. You need to call corporate." I'm livid and beside myself over this matter because I was really excited to start using my new Blaze and went through all the trouble of going back there to return the deffective item to be treated like a perpetrator. This is extremely disconcerting, especially because I know that Fitbit has a really great return policy and customer service. This is my fourth Fitbit fitness band, I bought an Alta from Kohl's last year, and I can't understand why this imbecile would tell me that if he took the item back it was a 100% loss for his store. We're in California and there are policies and insurances to ensure customer satisfaction, yet he was completely unhelpful, rude, and bully-like. Don't buy electronics from this store. They have a horrible return policy and horrible customer service!!!!! It's not worth it to spend your money here. Just go to Best Buy or Costco, or better yet buy it directly from Fitbit.com since their customer support is top notch. read more

Be careful when you shop in this store! Kohl's Santee NEVER applies their extra percent off of items when you check out at a register. Every time I purchase something I have to ask the person at the register if they have applied the extra percentage and they always say no and then they do it. It is very obvious that they are aware of the extra amount because they do it immediately without question. I have not contacted the store manager because I feel he is probably the one who made that rule because it every person at the register, not just one peticular person - it is all of them! If you shop there very often you lose a lot of money because they normally have an extra 20% off almost everything. read more

Before my most recent experience, I would have given this store five stars. I have been a cardholder since 2004. I almost always have my Kohl's card with me but two weeks ago I was returning an Amazon purchase for a friend so I was at Kohl's unexpectedly. I found something I wanted to buy and was pleased that I had a 15% off coupon that I received from the return. I tried to order the item on the Kohl's app in order to avoid the line but found that the coupon had to be used in store. Over the years I've made a charges a couple of times without my card with no problem. This time things were different. I put in my social security number and showed by driver's license but was informed by the cashier that it wasn't working. I offered to just have the item held until the next day when I could return with my card to make the purchase but the cashier kept reassuring me that she was "taking care of it." I made my offer a couple of times and was reassured each time that she was taking care of it. She asked me a couple of questions which seemed odd but eventually I was given the receipt and headed out the door. I was upset to quickly receive an email from my bank Informing me that my credit had been officially checked. I was really upset since the cashier hadn't been clear about how she was taking care of it. I assume this particular cashier was trying to increase her sales of credit cards. This is a very shady way of doing that. I complained to the manager on duty later on and she apologized. I received an email apologizing to me from the store manager. None of this can change the fact that my credit was checked without consent. I've been in this store twice since then and that same cashier has been at the register. The first time, the manager I talked to first noticed me approaching to pay for something and quickly offered to help me herself rather than have me go to the same cashier who caused me a problem. The second time after seeing that same cashier on duty, I made my purchase from the app on my phone to avoid her. My advice is to beware if a transaction seems unusual or odd. It's sad that someone wants to increase their credit card sales so much that they'll do the wrong thing to a long time customer. My gf back in WA used to rave about Kohl's all the time, but I would just roll my eyes because I assumed this place was for old people. I know rude, right?! You can find random as seen on TV stuff, clothes, kitchen gadgets, home decor, toys, jewelry, and any accessory. First of all, I love Kohl's. Much of my wardrobe comes from here and people usually compliment how I dress. When I am here I make sure to go when they email me coupons for things like 15%-30% off ANYTHING in the store, and then they give you those $10 for every $50 spent vouchers. My review is based though on the Santee location. The fitting rooms usually have obese women clothing all over the floor and bras still hung up on the hooks. They also have clothing super high up hanging where the only way you can reach for them is to get a worker to come over with those things that look like fishing rods. Their petite section blows (I am 5 foot 2). Many Kohl's have petite sections that aren't too old ladyish, but the one here is tiny with mainly old lady clothes. Like many reviewers mentioned, the lines here are super long and because you can get such good deals, nearly everyone has a shitload of items that they are buying. I will still be a returning customer because I enjoy shopping, but am on a budget. I love getting the SO brand polo shirts for $10.80 each BEFORE they knock off 30% making them $7.56 each. I have one shirt of each color. My favorite items here are the padded, strapless bras that make your cup sizes go up by 2 sizes. It makes my B's D's =D. False advertisement, but makes me look better in certain clothing. I went there today with my $20 voucher, but it was PACKED for a Wednesday morning! I ended up leaving and will probably come back the last day that you can use the voucher, but at the last hour of the store opening. All I wanted was to buy my Clifford stuffed animal, an earring set, and this nose trimmer for my dad. TIP- I really wouldn't get a Kohl's card. They regularly have such great sales that I wouldn't bother. Just stick to Visa or AMEX where you get points and crap that make it worth your while. read more

Went shopping here with my mom for bedroom curtains and a new mattress cover. We asked two people where the curtains were, the first just pointed and said "that way". When we walked in that direction we still didn't see them. I spotted another employee who looked like she was counting what was on a clothing rack, I had to say excuse me 3 times, standing 3 feet from her, before she turned around and looked extremely confused. She didn't say a word to me like "can I help you?" Nothing. so I had to ask if he worked there. She looked left and right and replied "uh...yeah..." I asked her where the curtains were and again, she just pointed and said "there." These people were no help at all. If she had just walked over and showed us where they were we wouldn't have had to find a THIRD employee who happily walked with us and pointed out both isles of curtains. I give two stars simply because of the third employee and the nice woman at the check out. If they had been the only ones we encountered then I would 5 stars. Store is clean and customer service is good, all the cashiers are super friendly and they r making sure you ate satisfied. I found a dress on clearance at a different store in the wrong size, so I decided to call the Santee store and see if they had it. The lady that help me was named Faye and she was amazing. Even though it was a clearance item she literally took less than probably eight minutes to help me she found me the item and put it on hold for me. She absolutely made my day. I have a Kohl's charge and it used to be that as long as I put at least 5$ on it I could use the discount coupons. Well not anymore the want half and you can't use your gift cards !!!!
