Worst kohls ever. Did a drive up order to pick up before an appointment I had. I arrived and sat in my car 20 min. along with another person waiting for an order to come out. I had given plenty of time before my appointment elsewhere but this was taking to long so I went inside. I asked for a manager and the girl said she was I explained what was going on and she pointed to the other side of the counter to pick up packages. I again told her it was drive up and finally she got someone to get my stuff. Well it was not my stuff. I was stopped in the car and asked if it was mine. It was not. The employee then went back to get my correct package and I gave the other lady waiting hers. Finally I got mine and was late for my dental appointment. They are not good. read more

I wanted to return an Amazon item and found out I could do that in person at Kohl's. Sunday after Christmas, what was I thinking--the line was a mile long and I figured it would easily take 30 minutes and only one person handling the returns, with an assistant sorting. The associate, Marissa, was amazing. She moved the line through so quickly, totally efficient yet friendly, even to the guy who wanted to tell her the entire history of his purchase, and how his item worked sometimes, but then at other times it didn't. ("Oh no! Well let's get that taken care of for you.") The entire line behind him was groaning inwardly but she moved him right along without making him feel dismissed in any way. I got my return taken care of in 10 minutes and asked her name, so I could tell a manager about my experience. I wandered around the store for a bit but never did run into a manager, so am sharing my experience here instead. read more

I love Kohl's. Once Covid quarantine started, I started to shop online. Once they reopened and I had returns, they took them just like that. I am so impressed. Today I had a return (because the dressing rooms aren't open) and they took it with no problems. I have bought items in every department in-store and online and pleased with the quality, selection and cleanliness of the store. They are Covid clean and ready. The young lady with the long dark hair at the return counter that was helping me was so cute, very funny, very professional, well mannered, informative and very kind. On my way out I told the manager and she was very grateful. Love the coupons and sales you all have. I saved $99 and spent $40. I left a happy camper with a nice Labor Day outfit. Yay me! I love Kohl's.. great selection at great prices and you can always find a coupon online to use in store. This store is conveniently located in a shopping center off the 78 and parking is easy to find. The store and the fitting rooms are clean, but I feel like this location (like a few others I've been to) are fairly understaffed. If you need assistance, it's hard to find employees around the store, and the checkout lines can get long. You can find pretty much anything here. Clothes and shoes for everyone, home decor, outdoor furniture, toys, kitchen stuff. If there is something that's out of stock here, chances are you'll be able to find it their website for the same price. read more

I usually go shopping about once a year for clothes. What I really wanted was a pair of shorts. Here's the irony, the entire store didn't have a decent pair of men's shorts anywhere in the entire store! Tons of pants, sweaters, but no shorts. I understand that its November but can't Kohl's realize that this location is San Diego and 80 degree weather isn't abnormal? Kohl's needs to understand the geography of their stores. Kohls has always been my go to place to shop for clothing for me and my family. This location is well organized, usually has a good selection of sizes available in store and is moderately clean compared to some other locations I've visited. The trick to Kohls, if you can swing it, is to get their store credit card for the monthly 30% discount, and to pay it off immediately. You have to be disciplined, yes...but anytime I hear someone complain that Kohls is too expensive is usually because they dont advantage of the discounts available to them. I'm a Kohl's employee veteran so whenever I come it's because I know what I want and I'm in and out with a quickness. This particular location is pretty easy to access-located right off the 78 and college it's across from the Walmart. Parking lot is huge and you should never have issues with parking. I came here looking to spend a gift card in which I wanted to use towards some Christmas gifts for my daughter. Toys were scattered but I know it's the HARDEST department in the store to keep neat. Little gromz are always messing it up. No biggie. Found the toys I needed and went to check out the baby clothes. -1 star here. Cluttered, and where are the size 9mos people? Is this the popular size these days or just not stocked? Time to go. Checked out pretty quick, there were 4 women working the registers getting the (long) line out the door fast. I appreciate them because been there, done that. I was offered a Kohl's card (no can do!) and used my rewards for my purchase. The gal working was very friendly. Visiting from out of town but had to use my Kohls cash and 30% off coupon today so we came here. Same selection and layout as my home Kohls in the Sacramento, .CA area. The biggest difference was the climate control. It was warm and muggy in the store. I'm used to a nice cool 68 degrees in the Sacramento stores. The clearance racks were the usual mess made by so many bargain hunters like myself. Otherwise the store was clean and nice. At first the line seemed long but with six cashiers working on the women's side we were checked out quickly. Jose on the register as very helpful and even told me how to link my points account to my Kohls card. I might come back this week to spend the cash I earned. Thank you Kohls. read more

I'm so irritated that I'm writing this on my way out of the store. I needed to make an adjustment on a dress that I had purchased at a different location (the coupon that I tried to use was not applied). I also needed to pick up accessories for the same dress. The regular lines were crazy long and I felt bad for the customers as well as the cashiers. Having worked in retail, I understand that it sometimes happens but at that time, I believe there were only 2 registers open, on a Saturday afternoon. Yikes. The gentleman I spoke with that was switching out end caps in the back smiled and and was very pleasant when I asked him a general question. All in all, not bad and understandable given that customer flow varies. So why 2 stars? The guy at customer service was rude! I had picked up a few clearance items and when I price checked them, one item rang up well above what it was priced as. When I asked him about it, he basically said "it's wrong. It's not on clearance", which in itself isn't bad. But when I then questioned if they were all mislabeled because there were at least 5 more over there, he peeled off the clearance sticker, threw it away, rolled his eyes, chuckled and said "yeah, sorry ma'am" and that he'd let them know. He dismissively explained that clearance varies by size and color, which I get but why with the bad attitude? I had to ask more than once to get an explanation and then you laugh at me and speak to me like I'm ignorant? Really? Was it a nervous chuckle? Were you having a bad day? I'm disappointed Oceanside Kohls. This is the first poor experience I've had here and I don't usually write bad reviews, but I'm feeling miffed; the "customer service" at actual customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. I know that I'm just one person and that my patronage doesn't matter one way or another but it'll likely be awhile before I come back to this location. 2 stars for the nice guy working in the back and for the remodel. read more

I never, ever leave negative reviews but I just can't take it with this store anymore. I went in to do an Amazon return (reluctantly, it always takes way too long here) because I didn't have the packaging my item arrived in and Kohl's was the only place that would accept it without the box. Never again will I set myself up for this mistake. While waiting the requisite 15 minutes in the Amazon return line, my 6 year old fell in love with a plastic toy from one of those super helpful bins they place in lines and asked me if she could spend her Grandma money on it. We waited in TWO separate check out lines for over 10 minutes each and never moved. In either one. At ALL. I left fifteen minutes ago and I'm confident everyone is still frozen in time/space there. You could easily die of old age before you get a damn thing accomplished in this store. I have shopped here on occasion for 6 years and it is always the same. This is not a "bad" day for the store, this is not a post pandemic worker shortage issue.... I honestly have no idea why the registers and employees at this store consistently move at a glacial pace. I don't get it. I've returned items at Walmart faster and that is saying a lot. If you have loads of spare time and you happen to enjoy spending it standing around waiting for basic, standard transactions to happen come on down to this location. If you have anything at all going on in your life and you need to spend at least a small portion of your day not waiting on a cashier, seek goods elsewhere. read more

I don't go here regularly, in fact it's pretty rare but I have been to both this location and the one off Nordhal. Yesterday was a good day to get a new work shirt with my mum, she told me she has just received two $10 off coupons to Kohls which the lady who gave them to her made out like she would be able to use them in one transaction. The store is extremely messy and disorganized. I felt like I was in some super discount store. One of the pros is that I quickly found the conservative black button up I need for work, on sale for $19.99 My mum and I waited in line to be helped, all of the cashiers looked miserable. We probably got the worst one. An older Hispanic lady. We figured that with the 2 $10 coupons we would still be paying a few extra dollars because of tax. When my mum handed her (kicking myself for not getting her name) the two coupons she rudely said, "you can only use one, if you read it it says that." Clearly my mum had a miscommunication with the lady who initially gave her the coupons, but we aren't the type to make a stink. So, we owed about $11 more dollars, I swiped my card and the lady said "your card didn't work" abruptly. I was a little confused knowing I have money on my card, but my mum paid cash in the meantime. Once the transaction was done, I checked my bank statements before even exiting the building and I WAS charged. We got back in line, specifically waiting for the same cashier, I showed her my bank statement and everything and she sarcastically smirked as she said "you'll have to go to the back to customer service" when we asked for a refund. I was astounded by this woman's horrible attitude and lack of decent customer service. Oh, then the "customer service" line took about 15 minutes, only ONE guy was behind the counter, returning at least 20 boxes of shoes for some lady and we still had about 4 people in front of us. We finally got helped and made the easiest decision to keep the shirt and I would pay my mum back. This could've been all so simple but Kohls incompetent, rude employees made me never ever want to come back here again. Don't waste your time at this location. read more

The worst dot com experience. They're unable to resolve an issue regarding delivery to wrong the address. I called and tried updating my address 10-15 minutes after the order was placed online. I had to deal with customer service that spoke broken English from their overseas call center. This is a direct quote from their site, "We may be able to make the following changes within 30 minutes from when you placed your order: Cancel your order." I was not able to cancel my order, I couldn't update my shipping address with Kohl's, and I updated my shipping address with OnTrac as soon as I got the tracking number and they still screwed up. The payment was made using a Kohl's credit card. I can't do a chargeback, I didn't receive my order, and now I'm obligated to pay for this since it's tied to my credit report. Kohl's is one of the stores on the list of my wife's shopping trips. My usual advise for a suffering men (who hates to shop) - get a plenty of a reading materials, there are 2 (two) seats next to the right front entrance - or outside (it's better inside, the A/C is on) and patiently wait for your better half, sister, daughter, mother-in-law, etc. to finish up the shopping. And a special advise for an older men - the bathrooms are OK. read more

Boo, selection, boo! I was so bummed to come here and leave nearly empty handed, or rather, with far less than I wanted to leave with! This was the place to shop when I was in high school, awesome styles and a great assortment but MAN this is not the case any longer! The clearance racks are disastrous no matter which retailer you hit up, but Kohls' racks were not only chaos-incarnate but the clothing they possessed was off-the charts ugly and mostly in size XS. Why?! I love cheeseburgers, I wear a size medium at best! But no, seriously, the size selection was as dismal as the style options. Likewise, most of the regular priced and normal sale items weren't all that nice. I looked through Jrs (where I still shop, yes...) as well as Misses, Active, Sleep, and Intimates...not but 1 item per department jumped out at me. All I wanted to do was get rid of my gift card! I am not a big shopper, but when I do go shopping I like it to be quick - in and out without a whole lot of effort on my part. This was not the case with Kohls. I walked in with a baby to find that they had absolutely no carts available to put her in. I saw plenty of carts around the store occupied by those with no children and those with an 8 year old sitting in the cart. This made shopping and trying on shoes very difficult since I wasn't about to put my baby on the ground. Also, everything is marked up 100% to be discounted 60% and look like a great sale. Clothes and shoes are just everywhere, no one has the decency to put stuff back in the place they found it. Overall, I am not very satisfied with the store or my experience. read more

I got approved, and I also signed up for Yes2You Rewards. I really like how you can combine a sale price, an online coupon, and Kohl's Cash to get a great deal. I just recently bought some great Van's walking shorts that were $50 but on sale for $29. After a coupon and a $5 Kohl's Cash, I got them for $17. I'm loving this, so far. read more

I just went into this store. I was an avid shopper at this location for nearly ten years. I buy the junior Levi's jeans because I'm so short that I cannot fit into a misses or woman's. I asked the cashier Sofia since she wasn't busy if they did away with the Levi's in juniors and she snapped at me we have never ever had Levi's in our juniors department. I replied yes you have this is the only place that I've bought them for years at. She again got nasty and rude, and over talked me by saying no we have never. She had no customer service and when I asked her how long she's worked here and pointed exactly where the rack was in the juniors she again mocked me and got nasty and said two years. Which I haven't bought any in about three years from the store so that would make sense why she keep up the arguing. She not only didn't believe me that Kohls once carried Levi's in the juniors section. She mocked and berated me that I was crazy for saying that and I must of got them from the opposite side of the store in misses department. After I proceeded to walk to the other department a man that knew her followed me and harassed me more for this Sofia woman. I told him I'll call the cops if he bothers me again and he walked away. Please get nicer, professional people to work for your company as I will never return again. The manager on duty never came up to apologize for her behavior and poor customer service. I guess every Kohls is set up the same. Mens on the left side and 25% along with shoes and appliances in the rear left for the rest of the 40%. The rest of the store is women's stuff and home products, but basically it's kinda like how at macy's the men's side is combined with home and is really like 1 level while the women's is a 2 level building. Anyhow. It's nice, well lit, clean and has some good products at reasonable prices. Somewhere between Macy's and Target is what I'd liken this to. Seems like they have many more employees working than other stores too. read more

The Kohls online experience is terrible. The web site fails in multiple ways, making orders nearly impossible. Many errors with orders and payments have made using Kohls online very difficult. On more than one occasion my wife or I have cancelled transactions because the system was so screwed up. Tonight we had to do a phone payment because the site would not accept my wife's login or attempts to pay her Kohls credit payment. If Kohls doesn't step it up and join the modern online era, they will soon find themselves overtaken by competitors. I'm sure we're not the only ones that opted for a different store this Christmas season. read more

Love the amount of inventory so that I have plenty to look at and choose from. Especially since many things do not fit me correctly. The home decor section is great too, and they have awesome sales prices! However, the dressing rooms look like a serious storm hit them. I walked in to two department's dressing rooms, and in each one, every single stall had piles of clothes and jewelry in them... Somebody is slacking on their cleaning duties. I also did not like how the sales team were shouting their "sales goals" over the loud speakers... way to make me feel like a goal instead of a customer.... First of I enjoy shopping at Kohls. Today unfortunately was the worst experience ever. First off the on duty Manager Annette and her one middle girl was rude. I was waiting in line due to not being given my $10.00 off coupon. Went to customer service to have it corrected. The one associate was helping a customer with her exchange and a new purchase. The other associate was in the corner repricing merchandise. She looked my way and kept on with her activity. A hispanic woman with a child came and said something in their language and the other associate heard her and came over to assist. I told her what happened she told me she thought I would have to go back to other side of store to have it fixes? I said she told me to come here. Then she asked the other cashier. She said she took the $10.00 off but when she gave total I told her that was not correct. I explained if you take $10 off a $13.20 bill it would be $3.20. She said if doesn't work that way? I asked for a manager then Annette came. I had to explain again. She cancelled all transactions out. I complained about the associate The manager ANNETTE was so rude and very unprofessional. She didn't seem to care about the customer. OVER 45 minutes waiting for a 5 item purchase. Her Associate made a mistake no apology from associate or manager. She told me I took care of your problem. So I asked for a person over her. BILL was FANTASTIC he CARED and apologized. He LISTENED didn't make excuses. Said he would spend time reviewing the situation with the associates. They offer a 20% off coupon that I was inable to locate (I located when I got into the car) when I said I couldn't find the coupon to cancel the several hundred dollar sale. The associate said ok and canceled. She could have saved the sale by assisting me find the coupon or called a manager over. But since she didn't care I figured Kohls did not need my money and will go elsewhere. And this folks is why I canceled my kohls card. They do not care about the customer. this store just ruined my anniversary. I will never back again to shop with the rude people. I stay with my two kids waiting for my wife in the parking lot after shopping in albertson. She found a cute kids watch try to ask my son if he like it. While She try to look for us, she forgot she didn't pay it and hold the box accident cross the alarm. Then one employee and manager just gave her a ticket for stealing！ she was shocked with this. Today is our anniversary, but she can not sleep last night and get nervous with this thing. VERY ANGRY!!! KOHLS in Oceanside SUCKS!!! I Rarely shop there. But I just opened a card in the summer to get school clothes with a discount. I paid it off and this is the first time I used it since. I spent $263 the end of November for Christmas. As soon as I got home I put the bags in my closet to hide from the family. Today my husband was going to get me a gift. Then I remembered the "every $50 you spend you get $10". So I open the bags. There was only the receipt in there, NO KOHLS CASH! Yet at the bottom of the receipt what looked like a coupon number and $60. My husband was very excited and he went there to get me a nice watch that I've been eyeing. When he gets to the register, they say, Sorry, without the Kohls Cash coupon we can't honor it. He calls me and I say, They never gave me coupons, only the receipt. They said if I came back in right away they would've returned it and re did the sale so I can get the coupon. Why didn't the cashier notice she didn't give me the coupons?? She didn't even mention I received $60 Kohls Cash. So I told my husband don't get it. I've been on disability for 9 weeks so money is tight. He had a $10 coupon as well. We will NEVER shop there again. It's Christmas, they could've done something. They chose not too. I'm in retail, I know. Although this location has just about anything you could want, the fact that it's in complete disarray made me want to leave as soon as I walked in. To say the store was messy would be an understatement. I've never been to a Kohl's that has been this gross before, at first I thought I was in a Macy's or Walmart. Clothes piled everywhere, items that belonged in different departments littered the floor, racks so packed with clothes you couldn't move the hangers to check sizes and the hangers all had the wrong sizes labels on them. Very frustrating when trying to look for your size. I now know why another location would not call this store to see if they had my size. They told me, "we won't call because they never clean their fitting rooms so they wouldn't know if they have your size or not. The computer said this location had two pairs of jeans in your size, you should just go there and look for yourself." So I had the pleasure of driving here and spending forever searching myself. What customer service! The fitting rooms were mostly clean, but had such a strong smell, like someone broke a perfume bottle in there and let it fester or a while without cleaning it up. The great thing about this location is that there's two sections for checking out, it seemed like there was only ever a line at one set of registers. All the staff I interacted with were friendly. Overall, I'd be back if I can't find my size at another location or online. read more

I love coming to Kohl's but it seems that my latest visits have been met with a lack good customer service and appears as if it not a priority any more. This last visit is the reason of my post. I made my first Amazon return, which was very convenient and quick, so kudos to Kohl's and Amazon! However, the returns employee was not as impressive. She completely ignored the attempts of courtesy of customer in front of me. Once it was my turn, I could simply tell she did not want to be there. Her greeting to me was, "what is this?", which caught me by surprise because I was literally standing in a line with floor and ceiling signs advertised as the Amazon return line. What was really off putting was the under the breath murmur as if I was causing some grief by returning this item. Seriously, Kohl's, either train people in customer service or take the time to find people that want to be there. If it's a matter of employees not being appreciated, make the effort to be encouraging because ultimately the shopping experience is what suffers. My wife also mentioned that this was the worst Kohl's shopping experience to date. The hanger sizes and clothing did not match for almost every item she picked up, which is not the norm. On a good note, the check out line seemed like it was going to take long but it was remedied quickly by adding more customer service representatives to assist and they were nice. Although, I will continue shopping at Kohl's, I think I will simply try to shop at a different location. read more
