Visiting this khols today 01/17 was very exciting. I really enjoyed perusing the aisles, especially in the kitchenware department. I love the utensils and the many varieties of cooking tools, I saw baby tongs. Lol, they were so cute. My reason for coming was, I purchased a rice cooker for $39.99 at the long Island store but I had to return it because someone opened it and took the handle from the lid. I picked up a different rice cooker after I received a refund from the first purchase at the other store. I really scored a good deal on the rice maker as it was priced at $49.99 and I received 30% off. I paid about $37 plus. What a bargain. I forgot a pro tip, if you sign up for a Khols card your first transaction gets you 40% off. Area that needs improvement, when someone purchases an item, especially something like a cooker. khols needs to examine it to ensure all parts are included and the should take a lose on it if something is missing and not our it in the shelf for other customers to deal with. My husband and I did some shopping at this store. It's been years since I've stepped in a Kohl's. This place is big with multiple floors for women, men and children's attire. We bought casual/ informal button shirts and khaki shorts for my husband as well as a story book for children. There is a wide selection for everyone and the prices were reasonable. The sales clerk told us if we opened up a Kohl's card that day we would get additional 30% off but we opted out. We don't have a Kohl's by us. However, it's good information to know if we shop here again. What I didn't like was that they didn't have multiple locations to check out your items. You had to check out your items on the main level. I think that's unique to their stores. They also need to put more visible signs for fitting rooms because it was hard to find the one. read more

Shopping in store up at this Kohl's is always a little cumbersome. The store layout is a little messy/dated and the store doesn't seem to be well staffed. The traffic in the parking lot is sometimes aggravating especially if there is a big showing at the nearby movie theater and the parking spaces are just a little tight. If you don't have to shop in store however the experience is better. For that reason I rated this Kohl's a little higher given that I often shop online and do pickup. Self Pickup is easiest once you get the hang of it and curbside pickup when available is even better. read more

Bad experience with purchasing Hi, Its very bad experience with purchasing. I have bought 2 pairs of shoes the same size and on of them was too small. I had a return it, but company did not offer prepaid label, so I had to pay muly own money for this return. Refund will be issued only during next 30 days (company will use my money for business purposes for this time). Customer service is pretty bad and can't get any help from them spending almost 1 hour in the chat. I mean I'm not in retail and folks aren't running to the store as they were prior to COVID. I'm just flabbergasted as to who runs this store? Furthermore do they know????? Who is managing this??? Overall for me the experience on two separate occasions has been good. I absolutely avoid going on holidays and weekends. The store gets really busy and lines are really long therefore avoid it if you can and plan your shopping trip accordingly. Overall the store is clean and they do have a good selection of merchandise. Customer service department is located on the first floor in the back where the bathrooms are. Plenty of registers available to checkout and price check scanners are located throughout the store. Personally didn't meet any employees that were rude but again my trip is usually during off peak hours and I feel during rush hours they tend to get frustrated. Enjoy the ease of ordering online and pick up in the store (that is what I usually do). Parking is free and other stores are located within the shopping center. read more

I love shopping at this location. Merchandise are neatly arranged. The entire store is very organized. Mind you, they have a security guard welcoming the customers on the side. They carry few brand names or signature line merchandise. I love Vera Wang clothing line, simply beautiful. It was quiet on tonight's visit. I can imagine on busy days as all the registers are located on the main floor. First time I used my Kohl's cash rewards as always forgetting using them. A big savings you could get if diligently using it. A big store that has all the basic needs. Good location. Parking is a plus. read more

This is just regarding the set up. There are 3 floors in here & there is only one place to pay for your items & rather it's a weekend or weekday it's typically 3-4 cashiers, which isn't enough. I don't understand why on the lower level where there is "Amazon returns" only, why they don't put a register downstairs. It makes absolutely no sense. A register on each floor would make the most sense, but just having one floor with registers isn't convenient nor smart. This is a shopping area & gets busy, they really need to add more registers somewhere else in the store. read more

First time: I shopped and then when I got to the line I saw there was like 3 cashiers working and like 100+ people waiting on line(!!) I left the store without completing my purchases but was hopeful for future. Figured it was a odd occurrence. But not the norm. Second time: came different time and day, didn't bother shopping. Just looked at 3-4 cashiers working and over 75 people on line waiting. So I left. Third time: came different day and time, Same results Fourth time: I had to do an Amazon return and I had Kohl's cash from internet orders to use up. I went to the Amazon return area. And saw a massive, massive line wrapped around the ground floor. So I skipped the return. Saw the usual unacceptable service at the check out areas so I left. 5th time (and final time) today! New time, new day, same 100 people waiting to return Amazon packages in basement. Same 75+ people waiting to pay for items while 3 cashiers ring them out. If you value your time at all. Don't ever shop here. Don't be tricked into doing Amazon returns here either. A real shame. read more

I had a few things to return to Amazon and rather than packing a box and going to the post office, I decided to try Kohl's amazon return services. This location is located in a shopping center so there's plenty of parking all around. Once you go inside, there are signs and arrows directing you to where the Amazon returns are. You show your return barcode and they take your items and put it inside a bag and give you a receipt. I was in and out of there in only five minutes! read more

There are too many stores to choose from nowadays to have to deal with poor service. At some point, those in charge have to realize that if they want to stay in existence. Because the Kohl's website does not provide an email to easy way to submit written feedback, I can only hope someone from corporate sees this. Kohl's itself could be a really great store. But their employees, at this location specifically, leave much to be be desired. And there is overall lack of customer care and willingness to provide excellent service as an overall business. I spent over a thousand every season buying clothes for my entire family. This week they lost out that because I'm just not going to give it to a company who allows a subpar environments to shop in. Kohl's, hire kinder workers. Hire more security to roam your stores to handle the high school students running amuck. I drove to this Kohl's to return an Amazon item, the site in the basement was relocated to the first floor. Three young people were attending the kiosk. When I walked up to the counter, the young lady seemed to be frustrated to attend to me, and asked me, "what?? ". I told her I was returning an item and produced the RMA; she took the information to complete the transaction. She gave me a Kohl's coupon, and I walked away. While walking away, I heard her greet the female customer after me with the following remark, " Welcome to Kohl's, how can I help you tonite?" . I am not sure how to feel about the difference with her customer relations, but it is the third time, I notice the clerks treat people differently. N.Y. is a diverse city, but you can feel when someone shows favoritism. I left off any ethnic or gender descriptions because it seems to be a professional issue with customer relations and services. Well at least it was not hot as hell in here tonight. Me, yes I was in line with the other 300 people. It looked liked something out of the seventies, I had a flash back of standing in line for a Rolling Stones concert at a tickemaster location. This is what happens when everyone has that 25% off anything even sale stuff. The lady in line in front of me asked me to help her find the coupon on her phone. She handed me her phone and it was all in Korean or Chinese and I said, I do not know how to locate in that language can you make it English. The one thing I saw on the phone helpful was the word Kohls, so I said, push that and maybe it will come up...and it did....YAY! This place has posted its hours which seem to be midnight each night leading up to Christmas. They seriously need to look at the staffing issues for the check out area. The fact that customers are lined up to the wall in the junior department is ridiculous. Anyway, thanks Kohl's for sucking me into the line with my 25% off. I stood there and watched people be pissed off and stupid and you name it. It was a bit like ticketmaster without scoring Rolling Stones tickets. This was the first time I have been to this Kohl's. My wife and I were running errands in the area so since we had a coupon, Kohl's cash and a credit so we just had to stop in. This Kohl's has 3 levels, is very large and, was clean, everything seemed to be in place and a whole bunch of registers which over half of them were staffed. I found a couple of shirts on clearance which were my size and good quality and another one at 60% off. My wife found a sports bra for my daughter on clearance also for a little over $3. The line was long but moved quickly with all the registers. After everything rang up the bill came to just under $20. Wow what a deal. kohl's always has sales like this and we went on a Friday night and it wasn't too crowded but it was close to closing time. They get 5 stars for being clean and efficient and great buys. read more

I had to make two returns to Kohls. One for an item purchased on their website and another via Amazon using their drop off service in the store. For the Kohls return portion, it was fairly quick with just a few customers ahead of me. They had two employees in the customer service area handling returns and online pick ups. Each employee wiped down the counter after each customer. I had my receipt ready and it took leas than 2 minutes once at the window. I was happy about that. Amazon has a desk in the lower level that handles returns for Amazon. Lots of clear signs pointing you to the right area. No one was online there so it was even better. It took 30 seconds because I had my label and item to return ready. I normally hate returning anything but I was really happy here. They also had an employee at the door directing you where to go. read more

Not really sure why this store has so many bad reviews, I've been coming here since it's been open and have never had anything but a good experience. All the staff is very helpful. Anytime I needed help finding something I was helped with a smile. Nothing beats the discounts this store always has. If you forget your mailer the cashier is more than happy to give you the discount anyway. I love this store and will continue to go here as long as it's open. read more

Horrible customer service! You have to literally run and chase people for help in the shoe department. Hardly any of the price checkers work and most of the time the selections are minimal and/or extremely disorganized. I question myself why I even bother shopping here but I guess convenience is what gives them two stars. I guess it's my own fault because I should just stick to online shopping and avoid the headache of dealing with lazy employees. P.S. I've worked retail so you can't even give me an excuse of what working in the retail world is. When I worked retail I gave all my customers a 110% no matter how tedious and hectic the workload became. These employees have no excuse. read more

Every time I go to the Kohl in Rego Park i get disappointed and I end up at this location. It seem like the Fresh Meadows location has more selections. Probably due the the larger size of the store? The men's department downstairs has more items and a large variety of sizes. It is not crowded except in the parking lot! If you don't go early good luck finding a parking spot! And don't get tricked going to the back roll of spots, they are all reserved for the business in the area. read more

This review is for Jan 31st at 5:30pm. I want to commend Shanay and how helpful she was and how well she dealt with rude ass people. I was in line for Amazon returns. I waited for about an hour to return an Xmas gift I didn't like. For how long the line was, it went pretty quickly. There are two lines. One to return with a person. One without. As always, there are few entitled people who instead of making lemonade out of lemons, decide to throw the lemons on the floor, stomp on them while screaming look at me, look at me, and make a scene. So obviously an entitled middle-aged woman started screaming about being on line for several hours (all lies). And nobody helping her (also lies). She came in upset, and was on the phone arguing with someone about her sad life. She forced her wow-me sadness upon all our ears the whole time we were online. She riled up some other miserable people too. And before mob mentality kicked in I had to step in to put a stop to it. It's a pandemic, people should just be a bit understanding. Shanay who was almost done with her shift, tried to calm her down, as she was helping speed along the self service line. She singlehandedly sped everything up cutting many many minutes off the line. The angry woman screamed at her and she kept her cool. Seeing that I stepped in and gave others the courage to do that as well. Which shut the people down. Shanay went above and beyond to help us. People who were just doing amazon returns, not even kohl's customers. She should get a promotion, a raise, something for her tremendous resolve and willingness to help. Not your best location. The staff is kind of rude, if u need, not really much people available. They organized the store very often so when you go there might be what you expect. They do have a clearance corner. Place is clean and there is a bathroom available. Great for locals. Not recommended for tourists. May be other locations would be better. Free parking available. My fiancé had an amazon return and was given a 25% off coupon so we decided to walk around the store. We were not impressed, unfortunately they are overpriced. Their special was but one of something at regular price and get the other half off. Sounds great, but the regular price wasn't reasonable. For example, I noticed a wireless bra for $40. The same bra style and color can be purchased at another retailer for $15 so I can buy two at the other retailer and save over $25. Women's Clothing in my opinion is for older women. I didn't see anything that caught my attention. My fiancé was able to purchase two T-shirt's for $12 each and I found one pair of socks for $6 and we used the 25% coupon we received. I will not return to shop here, two stars as the customer service lines moved quickly even though there were long lines, the flow of operations was prompt. Parking is in an open shared lot as the location is in a shopping strip, and there are three levels to the store. read more

The one thing I love about Kohl's is that they carry just about any and everything. A bonus for me is that there's always a sale, discounted prices, and coupons. I can shop and earn Kohl's cash that can be used during a specified date to purchase additional items. Returns and checking out can be a horror. Today I experienced a line wrapped around the 1st floor lobby. Although it seemed to move every 6 to 7 mins my patience does not run that deep. It was a zoo. People cutting the line and children running around like endangered animals- I just couldn't take it. As I approach the front of the line a woman slides in front of me. I look up from my iPhone with a puzzled look because I didn't want to 'set it off' like Cleo. I held my composure and calmly told her she had the wrong person. Another woman standing in front of me chimed in and said, "It's the same difference". I said, "where? if that's the case let her cut you." She had no response. The woman said, "okay, I'll leave." I asked if I could check my balance on my Kohls card and her response was a cold "no we dont do that." She said I could use a credit card with ID. When I took out my ID she acted as if I was doing something silly "We dont need your ID Ma'am" Two seconds ago she told me I needed ID in order to use my credit card. The Kohl's here in Fresh Meadows is "ok". Nothing crazy about it. It's never anyone around to help you if you need it, that's for one. It's a pretty big store so that's a plus. Well there was a puffy vest that I really wanted . As I was trying to order it , a fake person's name. Popped up my email . So I had to opt in to change my password. But I was a little skeptical in placing the order, because once I put my information in the system, that person would be able to change my password and have my information. So I called customer service and explained everything, to them, they transferred me to someone else and they're response was . Oh it's just an error . I said with a fake name . Johnathan Doremefaso . Kohl's has a very generous return policy of 365 days, that's 1 whose year!! It's nice to come here or shop online because Kohl's give you something called Kohl's cash when you shop with them. Kohl's cash allows you to use it like cash at Kohl's. Unlike most stores it's a sizeable amount that they give you, not a few cents here and there. For example, I bought something in the range of approximately $500 and I got $80 Kohl's cash, what store will give you that much money to spend just because you decided to shop with them? The customer service is courteous and always helpful. Returns here are fairly quick. However, the purchase line appears to always be long and a bit sluggish at times. Whether it be a regular day or a major holiday, the purchase line is always long. If I could advise the store of one this is to hire more people for the registers, but besides that, this store is a nice Kohl's to go. read more
