Text, candy, small household goods. If you don't have a bag, ask if you can take one of their empty boxes.

This location is smaller compared to others, but surprisingly they carry a little of a lot. Items are now $1.25, but you can still get some basic staples here for decorations, loot bag fillers, stationary, small snacks and last minute health & beauty items. It's a dollar tree, so keep your expectations and check. Sometimes you can find a good deal, especially if you're looking for cheap seasonal decorations. There is Pepperidge Farms bread in the back for $1.25, but check the best by dates. Small charge if you don't have a bag with you, so remember to bring your reusable bags. If you don't have a bag, you can ask to take one of their empty boxes. There's perpetually a long line for the register, so be prepared to wait.

No longer a $1, if you had to reflect the price change with the name they would be called "Dollar 25 tree" I get it, prices in general have skyrocketed! Your dollar doesn't buy you much of anything these days. Nonetheless, you still get a pretty good deal. Where else can you find a little of everything from food items, hardware and cleaning supplies, refrigerated goods, houseware, arts and crafts. This location is well stocked and the staff here very helpful and friendly. There is metered parking on the streets. They do not have a parking lot. Don't expect too much in terms of finding high-quality items, but hey! You never know.

This Dollar Tree is a large discount store where everything is literally 1 dollar plus tax. They have a huge selection of random items and an area near the front for seasonal items. I find that this dollar tree is best for photo frames, soft and hardcover books, candy, artificial flowers, gift wrap, and organization storage bins. The shelves are not always stocked and there are plenty of unopened boxes of shipment in the aisles. This location is not the best for party supplies because they are out of stock for many items if you need it in multiples. The balloon selection is also very small and they do not blow up balloons that you want to buy; only the ones already blown up are for sale. Those balloons are smaller than regular balloons and tend to deflate faster.

They have a parking lot!!!! Don't go crazy trying to find parking on the street. The entrance is right by the bus stop. Didn't find out until another customer mentioned it.... I can honestly say that I'm impressed with this Dollar Tree. Everything is stocked up and they have pretty good stuff here compared to the other stores. Since I'm always ruining my slotted spoons and spatulas, I decided to just buy them here. If you look, you'll always find something useful. IMO, I wouldn't buy their batteries, cosmetics, baby hygiene products... They wouldn't be of good quality because of the cost... But go ahead and buy their air freshener, dish soap, cups.. Even feel free to buy some of the food products. Hey, they're a dollar so why not?

Merchandise in the middle of aisles!!

Nearly a year after I write my 1st review. Look at this! How in the world are customers supposed to shop?!?? Pictures say a thousand words!!! Look at these! I feel sorry for the staff. Obviously not enough staff!! And long lines!! Do better!

Some things are worth buying but I usually don't buy a lot other than some candy or when I need to quickly grab a pain killer.

Stepping into Flushing Discount Store feels like diving headfirst into a kaleidoscope of bargains,…read morewhere you're just as likely to stumble upon a must-have essential as you are to discover something delightfully quirky. This store is your typical discount haven, except, well, it's a bit roomier than others, giving you extra space to navigate and marvel at the eclectic mix of items they offer. The owner is a gem--one of those friendly folks who's not afraid to let you know that he's about to shut down for the night. On one visit, he delivered the closing announcement with the kind of gentle firmness that only a true retail veteran can muster. I appreciated the heads-up; no one likes being caught mid-aisle when the lights go out. They've got all the essentials you need, from household goods to school supplies. Need a mop? Check. Running low on notebooks? They've got you covered. This store is a one-stop shop for pretty much everything you could use in daily life. But the pièce de résistance of Flushing Discount Store has to be their live betta fish section. Yes, you read that right. Nestled among the cleaning supplies and stationery are these vibrant little fish, each priced at a cool $4. You can also grab some fish food for another $4 and a small plastic tank for--you guessed it--$4. It's like a tiny aquatic ecosystem of bargains. I still remember my first encounter with this fishy phenomenon. It was during high school, and my sister, driven by an urge to adopt a betta fish, dragged me to this very store. There we were, standing in the glow of fluorescent lights, contemplating the lives of these $4 fish. I couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for them, swimming in circles in their plastic prisons. All in all, Flushing Discount Store is a quirky, budget-friendly wonderland where practicality meets the bizarre. Whether you're in desperate need of a mop, a math notebook, or a spur-of-the-moment fish adoption, this place has got you covered. Just make sure you don't lose track of time--unless you want to find yourself locked in with the betta fish!

99 Cents or Less - Winter Beanies ($5 each)

Be careful not to accidentally knock things down with your bag when you try dodging people's elbows hitting you on the side or trying to squeeze right through the aisle because they can't hear you saying excuse me for the thousandth time. Despite the store name being 99¢ and Less, nothing is actually 99 Cents and below as the price. If you ever need to pop in & get some last-minute stationary like pens, a plastic folder, or even a pad of paper....you know 99 Cents or Less got you covered. Quality wise also depends on the products you're getting. If you expect to find a really good pair of sturdy earrings or a beautiful designed birthday/holiday card from 99¢, ehh then this is probably not the best place you will find these things at. However, there's always an exception and that exception happens to be when I have strolled by the place after getting off the Q25 bus today. There's a basket filled with an assorted selection and all different colors of beanies right in front of the store. When you step inside, there's another basket of winter hats inside too. I have to really dig through a bit in the baskets in order to see what's good underneath especially that's how you sometimes find the goodies (wink wink). And what do you know? I did end up finding a thick beanie made out of polyester from each basket. It wraps my head all the way around and able to cover up my ears completely. Plus, the pink-gray-white color scheme looks stylish and not tacky plus easy to match with outfits. The fluffy faux fur pom pom at the top makes it more trendy, creating a cute and eye-catching detail to your winter essential item. Woohoo! Being able to find a thick, warm beanie nowadays is very important...making sure you won't catch a cold from the wind slapping in your face or the feeling of wind blowing from the back of your head. Of course I end up buying both beanies, wouldn't you? Lining up to pay doesn't take that long like maybe 5 minutes the max. I think it's cash only but please correct me if I happen to be wrong. The beanies are $5 each. Don't expect the staff to greet you with a smile, cuz you didn't go there for the service....you know you're there for the goods lol!
