I would give negative stars if yelp allowed, do not expect any sort of customer service from these stores. They do not and would not help customers check whether a particular product is in stock, instead they blame it on the "system", which only they will know what this "system" is to begin with. If you are expecting to buy a product and happen to be shopping in these stores, go ahead with the bargain; however, if they run out of stock, do not expect any sort of timeline from them for when the product will be in stock, we end up going to a local 99 cent store instead of dealing with them. read more

The location in College Point doesn't hold a candle to this place. Way cleaner overall, lines move FASTER, more staff on the floor to help you. read more

The store is usually a mess to the point of being dangerous. The aisles are often blocked with hand trucks full of boxes that are about to topple. I observed this several times in the middle of the day. I have complained and no one seems to care. This is an accident waiting to happen. read more

Line is always very very long. One register only open yet other staff hanging and talking rather than help out at register. Terrible

I would have given this store 4 stars, but due to the employee behind the register named (LaLa) I give this store 1 star. I am 7 1/2 months pregnant and she denied me the restroom. She used the oldest story in the book. That the restroom was out of order. Karma is a b_t_h. What goes around comes around. read more

Everything is a dollar! I frequent this place regularly for various groceries and other things. I suggest shopping here in the morning hours or late afternoon to early evening hours. This place gets packed out in the afternoon with kids getting out of the school across the street buying snacks. Another gripe is lack of cashiers at times which delays checkout when it shouldn't. But, hey, it's a dollar store so all that stuff is kinda expected. Other than those smalls things, it's usually a pain free experience shopping here. Staff are usually helpful and courteous. There is a small parking lot to the side but it does get packed out when the area is busy since it shares the lot with other businesses. Overall two thumbs up! read more

This is the ONLY Original" Dollar Tree" in Queens and all of NYC. The rest of the so called other Dollar Tree stores are actually "Deals" stores with prices way higher. If you live far away, it is worth the trip to come here. Free Parking around the corner. There is a Queens bus ( #76 ) that stops in the front of the location. ) The bargains are GREAT,, everything is actually a dollar each,, some greeting cards are even 2 for a dollar. They even have a clean bathroom in this location ! read more

If I could give less than a star I would. The location on 101st and 2nd ave IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST. In a pinch if you need something it is NOT the recommended spot to go. There are constantly U-Boats filled to the tops with merchandise in every isle. You can never get what it is you want and chances are the product " is in the process of being unloaded" I could forgive long lines. I can forgive low stock, what I will never understand is how badly operated this place must be if there is constantly that much product with either not enough people or not inept enough people to put it out in a timely matter. read more

This past Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 my mother inlaw and I went to this particular Dollar store. At first, I was impressed with all the nice variety of items they had. However, to my disappointment, when I got to the aisle where the storage containers are at, the whole aisle was stock with merchandise carts filled to the top. No one was able to get through the isle. It was unfortunate because I came a long way just to buy specially items in that section. I've never seen anything like that in any store. On my way to the cashier I saw that they had two those carts stacked to the top right in the middle of the way. If any of those items would had fallen on any old folk or child they would have done major damage. I told one of workers my story and the danger of those carts unattended and she told me that she just worked there and advice me to speak with the manager. read more

Love this place!! EVERYTHING is $1.00! They have some good quality items too. I go here for basic things like tissues, candies, candles, kids coloring books, picture frames, ETC. They have it all! read more

Great customer service. They always have what I need. Super convenient hours. They open most days at 8am so you can street park for free before the meter starts at 9am. I shop here every week. read more

Unless you go at 8:00 am when they open, you'll never get a spot on the street. The store is fine if you can find parking. Many times I've driven past only to go home because there was no parking. After I wrote this I saw posts on a parking lot by the bus stop. I have been using it. Now I can shop there whenever I want and always get a spot. read more

Love the bargains and the store, but the wait on the cashier's line is always horrendous. Lines go halfway back of the length of the store and MAYBE they might call another cashier to open up. read more

The employees at this Dollar Tree should be fired as they discriminate against pregnant women. My pregnant wife was waiting outside during quarantine (Corona Virus) on a line of about 20 people. I asked the employee working the door at the moment (lady with short hair working the door in on Tuesday April 14th from 4-5pm) if my 8 month pregnant wife could walk in to quickly get something since she is not able to stand for that long and the employee went and denied my request and started getting personal with me saying why is my wife outside anyways and why am I not doing the shopping for her which is absolutely none of anyones business. My wife genuinely enjoyed going into this dollar tree and getting out of the house during pregnancy and these disrespectful employees come and discriminate against us. We have been to stores where my wife can walk right in due to her pregnancy instead of waiting on a 20 minute line standing. To top it off another worker (female working the same hours 4-5pm on April 14th 2020) looked like one of the warehouse workers comes out and starts yelling in my face almost spitting in my face and laughing in my face saying why am I not doing the shopping for my pregnant wife as I asked her again assuming she was the manager. If the manager of this store does not fire these 2 employees I will take legal action. This store will never receive another penny from me, we are locals my wife spends about $100 weekly at this store. I will make sure these employees get fired and do everything in my power to make sure this place is shut down for discriminating against pregnant women. What a shame, my wife told me the manager is also pregnant. Maybe you should teach your employees common sense and decency. Take some notes from the supermarkets surrounding you, customer service is priority we were just coming from the market on the corner where they let my wife walk in and out in less than 5 minutes instead of making a pregnant women wait 30 minutes on a line. Fire these employees or I will make sure to take legal action and call every publication, news channel and put this location on blast for poor customer service and discrimination. read more

This store has great employees who take the time to help the customers. I have seen other customers be rude, yet the people who I see working there are always courteous and patient. read more

i love dollar tree and as i am waiting for my niece while she is visiting her friend who lives in the flushing area i see a dollar tree and a dunkin donuts as great places to gobble up time . in a busy crowded area of flushing i am a bit surprised that this dollar tree has a parking lot. inside it's the typical tree set up but this location is not as messy as others i have visited and they seem to have less stuff then the white plains and astoria locations . as i pass each aisle i grab a few of this and a few of that and for a buck a piece you can't go wrong . the detergent soap is not that bad for a buck and the giant liquid soap is a winner as well. the workers are majority asian and don't speak much which is ok cause i really don't have much to say . got a bunch of stuff and i was able to eat up about an hour of time now it's off to dunkin donuts to take a nap . read more

While a dollar store may be a lame thing to review, as dollar or 99¢ stores go, this one is definitely the standard bearer. it's well staffed, everything is a dollar with none of the over $1 exceptions you often find in other such stores. nothing is expired or past it's good till use date, which can be a problem in most other such stores, and slower moving shelves and items are not coated in dust. inventory turns over with new food and household items and seasonal things, but not every $1 deal is a "sale". for example their halloween decorations and party favors were a steal, but in October you can find cheaper candy per pound in bulk elsewhere. double check the quality of the items you buy - I found brushes and utensils with handles that came off too easy, containers with lids that did a poor job sealing, etc. so you still get what you pay for quality wise. They had a not advertised sale on 3oz Beef Jerky, which I stocked up on for the year! and that alone paid for my effort getting out to Bayside, so if this place is out of your way, wait like I did for a key item to stock up on and make the effort, or if you are doing a major cleaning or organizing job - get your supplied here instead of a home goods store, or if you are making any sort of mass appeal celebration at home or office, skip the over priced party stores and come out to Dollar Tree. read more

I was so amazed to actually see a true dollar store. I used to go to deals and dollar general which are further away from me. I am glad that now there is a closer place. While their selection is not as big as the other two stores mentioned, I so not seem to care as much. This being because of their price. Literally everything in the store is a dollar something rare to find. You can find many things such as teaching supplies, decorations, food (including candy), condiments, toys, bins, baskets, etc.. Sometimes i even come here multiple times a week. When I am missing something I first think can I find it at Dollar Tree? At times though it does get crowded with longer line waits. It really depends on who is on staff for their lines to move. One time I did go in and there was one guy working the cashier while I saw 2 other employees, one man and woman who could have helped. Anyhow that does not stop me from going there because I often times find many things I need and even things I did not expect. read more

It's great having a Dollar Tree in the neighborhood. Lots of great stuff, some name brand items, like Colgate double pack toothbrushes for $1! Pharmacy items such as cotton balls, nail polish remover, peroxide and more that sell for triple the amount in the local drug stores. Some good kitchen items, tissues and garden items. Also, greeting cards (not the best) but worth the 2 for $1 price. Great party supplies and school supplies. My only complaint is that there is often one person at the register with long lines. Get more staff! read more
