Every time I visit this particular Lot-Less in Rego Park I always leave with two shopping bags filled with goods. I load up on socks and undergarments for they have small sizes. Nice selection when it comes to apparel. Their food section are always filled with cookies, chocolate, candies, pasta, etc... When you head out to check-out counter there are sweet treats tempting you to bring them home. Home goods are located downstairs. Will be back to get curtains. Good value products at great prices. I have been shopping at this store for DECADES and never have I ever been so upset and insulted by how their security guard treated me today, June 4, 2023. I was holding a Dunkin Donuts cup inside the store and the guard rudely told me to leave my drink by the door which I obliged (it's basically a rack that held bags for sale and the cup was placed BEHIND the bags). When my hubby fell in line to pay for the items, I went ahead and retrieved my drink and stood near the exit. I was NOT drinking, and the cup was sealed closw. The security guard then proceeded to harass me and told me to move beside the door and kept blabbing about the no drinking policy posted on the wall. I was NOT DRINKING, I was HOLDING a drink. Oh my goodness, this really got me so upset that I was ready to tell my husband to leave more than $100+ worth of items behind. Good thing my husband kept his cool and preceded to speak with one of the store managers. The shop has a lot of good deals (that's why I've been shopping here for years) and almost all employees are nice and helpful but man.... Yo! In here is the most amazing bargain center! It's like a dollar store that the "posher" folks come to hahahaha! Loads of brand name beauty, hygienic, electronic, home goods (no pun), food, (I'd check the dates), clothes, appliances and everything else you could think of at LotLess prices! Downstairs you'll find the furniture, bedding, bathroom, outdoor and mostly large items. Upstairs is everything else and I do mean EVERYTHING else! I luuuuuurve perusing the aisles because I always see things I'm familiar with AND discover many new items. The mature staff is a bit on the grumpy side. I have never had a pleasant smile or exchange from any of them. I think they're mostly overwhelmed. I don't come here to socialize except when fellow customers and I chat about the prices of items so...**shrugs** I come here to window shop a lot. One of my all-time favorite stores! There are always great deals to be found in Lotless. You can find so much brand name stuff here at super cheap prices: from clothes to beauty products to groceries to cleaning supplies (and even furniture), you can find anything you need. When I got a new bed last year, I got all my bedding here and it was so cheap. I've also found really nice sterling silver jewelry here for literally $1 to $5... insanely cheap. And Chanel nail polish and makeup! I was so shocked when I found the Chanel stuff here. If you see something you like, you should buy it though, because if you wait, they might be gone and there's no guarantee they'll ever be back. I only saw the Chanel stuff one time and then never saw them bring back the Chanel again. read more

This is the largest Lot Less location that I have ever visited. It has two floors. It was very bright and clean and surprisingly well organized as these stores tend to get disheveled quickly. I didn't go downstairs, but I believe that is where all of the houseware items are located. The first floor is clothing, beauty, food, and toys. I need to plan another trip back to the area so I can spend some more time exploring, but if you're in the neighborhood I'd definitely recommend checking this location out. read more

Lotless is a large discount store with two floors. A lot of variety here: food, household goods, toiletries, clothing, toys, pet supplies. It was fairly crowded during the day. There are some nice deals here, such as a 10-pack of disposable face masks for 99 cents. Kind of ironic that a discount store that doesn't have '99 cents' in its name sells things for 99 cents, while those that are named '99 cents' usually don't (at least not anymore with inflation). read more

3 1/2 stars. Lot-Less Closeouts is a chain with 10 locations in the NY/NJ Metro area. As some Yelpers have mentioned, it is similar to National Wholesale Liquidators. The store sells items ranging from clothing to housewares (which included name brands). Things are usually sold at an attractive price; & bargains can be had. Most recently, I saw a Brita filter system going for $14.99. This location is right off the 63 Drive subway station, & consist of 2 floors. Some of the food items may have short expiration dates, check before purchase. &, a few of their clothing items may be slightly irregular, ie, boxer briefs. They have a good toy section. I used to go to their location in lower Manhattan, & do all my Christmas shopping there. read more

I like this place because they have so many good things at a discount price. Many times you can find items such as clothing, food, health and beauty, etc. The only thing is that if you see something you really like you have to get as many as you can because the things are quickly sold out. This is a good store. It's located in a nice area. They have lots of inventory and some of it featuring recognizable brand names. The employees are nice and they have ground level and sublevel. I have not gone downstairs as of yet but I will the next time I stop in. I like to buy my shampoo and toiletries here as it saves me $2 to $3 a pop per bottle and they are good sizes. They have a great toy section and honestly lots of great clothing and accessories. I don't live as close or work as close to Lot Less as I used to. If I did, I'd be here all the time. read more

Stopped as I was about to exit because my bag set off the store alarm. Security checked my bag and tried to insinuate that I had stolen a pair of wireless earbuds because they were not on the receipt for the price ($12.99) marked on the package. The same store has another Location in the city downtown. This one seems to be the same size but the store was a bit messy. Lots of products all over the place. You can always find bargains here. I bought Lysol air freshener for $4 vs $7 which is the retail at the drugstore. I believe they purchase their items in bulk so expect to find new items often. The window designs are very appealing and welcoming. Makes you want to go in and get those items. Sadly they aren't part of their current inventory. Parking is pretty difficult during peak times. Inventory is pretty broad from cleaning products, food and clothes. I always get things like shampoo, shower liners and small hand soaps. Sometimes they bring cute shorts for the gym. Lines can get long during peak hours. read more

What's in a name? Forget what Juliet tells Romeo. The answer is, Everything!! And this store's namesake, "Lot-Less" says it all. Lot-Less carries a lot of name brand housewares, appliances, toys and books, at a mere fraction of the prices charged at other retailers. Many yelpers have compared it to an Odd Job, Jembro, or National Wholesale Liquidators, which is true, I've shopped at all of these places, but I think Lot Less is even better than them. Your shopping experience is more dignified in a place where the aisles are clean and organized, and where, most importantly, the affordable products are all decent quality, relatively new and well-curated. I recently bought six decorative accent pillows for my parents' sofa and these were sold at 7 bucks a piece, whereas the informative label on the tag indicates they were going for $29.99 PER PILLOW at Bed, Bath & Beyond. And these are beautiful, satin pillows, pleated with a gorgeous pattern on them. I really couldn't believe I nabbed these six pillows for less than the original price of two pillows. I absolutely love BB&B, but if I can get my pillows cheaper at Lot-Less, then that's where I'm shopping! We also got an electronic GNC weight scale for $14.99, which was also a bargain, as I'm pretty sure those go for about 30 clams or so. I'm stoked that there's this great location in Rego Park, but that also, they've got a huge store in the Financial District, and now I have two places to spend a "Lot-Less"! read more

The struggle is real...Yes it has come to this, I am a lot less shopper. AINT NOTHING WRONG WITH IT THOOOO.. Right by the crib and they have cheap plastic plates. Keeps the plates from piling up in the sink and I never have to hear "can you wash the dishes this time, BABE".......(Pause) Naahh, not for me. Lotless has some nice inexpensive things for the house, although the wife still prefers Bed,Bath, and Beyond and so do I honestly (check out my yelp for that place) because of their great return policy. We bought some shower curtain protectors here and recently a bathroom rug. Whatever keeps the feet warm while I'm dropping a heavenly and infamous deuce (where most of my yelps are written lol). I love this store for some cheap lotions, make up, houseware and candy. They change items weekly and its fun to walk around and see what's new. The staff are friendly and its always crowded with people trying to find a deal. Downstairs they have more houseware stuff like curtains, area rugs and furniture. I came here because my coworker told me about their nail/beauty section. I bought Essie Top Coat for $3 (regularly $10). You can't even imagine how excited I was. I saw many Maybelliine, Loreal, Herbal Essence, and Tresemme products for much cheaper than what I usually see them for in CVS, Target, Ulta and everywhere else. I walked around and saw everything you can ask for. Household supplies, school supplies, clothing, kitchen supplies, personal hygiene products, gift bags & wrapping paper... the list goes on. It's not a place where I would personally go shopping but I would come in here every once in a while to see what they have in stock. read more

Friendly service, clean store and well organized. I bought some children's arts and crafts supplies and 2 pairs of fleece pants to wear around the house or to bed. The pants didn't fit right- I think they have some irregularities to them unfortunately. Looked and felt soft and comfy in the store only to not fit at all once I tried them on at home. Returned them already. As other reviews state you can find some pretty nice bargains here, just be careful as some of the items have flaws and are not going to be true bargains. Wish they had a fitting room for this reason. It was also a little challenging to find a full length mirror in the store to get a better gauge on the way clothes might look etc. A fun store though. read more

the lot less closeout in rego park is just like many other lotless closeouts i have visited in the past, stuff is cheap, stuff is cheap and you will always find something useful until it breaks or falls apart. street parking is not easy but someone will leave a spot eventually. placd inside is big with plenty of the typical a to z of stuff from homegoods , houswares , electronics , small furniture , linens, toys, makeup, and much more if you look around. i grabbed another coffee machine for work and some bathroom towels also for my office bathroom and i could not forget the coffee mugs as it seems they disappear faster from the office lounge on regular basis. not fancy stuff here but its 5 steps higher then dollar tree and 4 steps higher then family dollar but come on store manager open a few more registers the line is long as hell. read more

Lot Less provides a mixed shopping experience. Sometimes -- about half the time -- I get the product home and quickly discover the why the product was being sold at Lot Less Closeouts.... Sometimes, Lot Less managers are smart enough to realize that taking back defective merchandise usually means selling me more stuff and making more money off me that the cost of the product returned. For example, I bought a jar of Indian style sauce; I took it back when I realized the vacuum seal had been broken -- not a good thing. I returned the jar (it was only one of many things I'd bought that trip) and immediately went, found another, intact jar -- and bought a few other things along the way. But the manager on that shift was clearly unhappy having to deal with a return. I also noticed that the same product in jars with broken vacuum seals remained on the shelf for some time after. Some Lot Less managers are just plain bitchy. I bought a bunch of battery-operated under-shelf lights; the next morning when I came into the kitchen; four out of four lights had dropped off. The pressure-sensitive adhesive on the mounting was not adequate, clearly. I took them back; said the manangeress with a grin, sorry, opened and no original packaging -- we won't take them back. So, the word here is, caveat emptor. And try to identify which of Mssrs. Cohens' managers are customer-oriented and which are not. Expect problems about one out of three times when returning defective merchandise, and always assume the manager will be grumpy. As to the women who've been posting praise: Yeah, right, sure. Me, I'll go someplace where the Middle Eastern bazaar-ethic (let the buyer beware!) is a little less pronounced, thank you. read more

wow, can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. if I'm passing by while running errands up and down Queens Bully, I'll pop in if it doesn't look too busy. a level up from the 99-cent/discount variety stores which populate Rego Park (and there are plenty), Lot Less is similar to Odd Job, Jembro and other such stores. you'll find name-brand merchandise at low prices. candy, clothes, toys, electronics, office supplies, furniture, kitchen stuff...pretty much anything. it beats hiking to Target, definitely. what's great about this place is that it is organized pretty well, and it's clean. usually you go to similar stores and there's crap laying out on the floors, and it really discourages you. plus, the people at the counter work fast. and yes, I bought Transformers action figures here at a great price. fuck you, they don't judge me! read more

Worth going if you want great deals. It's like a National Wholesale Liquidators. On the down side, it's always crowded in here no matter what time or day you go. The bargains are here but the staff is just nasty (or at least the person I dealt with). There were 2 Power Ranger action figure toys in the window - one black one red. I wanted the red one and went in to their toy isle to get it. Only the black ones were left on the shelf - I started to ask the workers if they have any more red ones - after getting the run-around from a few staff people - I was directed to some guy - maybe the isle manager or supervisor - I don't know who he is - I asked for a red one - he said maybe there is no more - I asked for the one in the window - I was told no, it is the display and the last one - I said well if it is a display and the last one - then people will not be able to get any when they walk in - why would you be displaying something you cannot sell???? I don't know - maybe to get people in the store???? I asked the guy why - and it sounded like they do not sell the last one - WHAT???? Then he preceded to tell me if the cashier is willing to get it from the window I can have it - he will ask a cashier - this is the stupidest thing I ever heard - I had no idea the cashiers ran the store and decided if they want to do what they are asked to do - like go to the window...I just do not understand this place. I do not work in retail so I do not know what practice is - but I have bought the last item in store windows before - no one has ever told me they do not sell the last one, they have to find out if a cashier will give it to me - this place is beyond crazy....all this arguing for a $6.99 item - crazy - I just walked out - and will never return to this crazy place. I feel bad for the owner of the store (unless the guy I dealt with today is the owner - then I don't feel bad at all) - I wonder how much revenue you lose from people running away from your crazy staff.
