I visited the electronics section on the second floor of the Forest Hills Target to replace a damaged ethernet cable and restore my high-speed internet connection. An employee named Antika was incredibly helpful. She quickly located the correct cables and patiently waited while I calculated the packaging measurements from feet (choosing between the 25-foot and 50-foot options) into meters to ensure a proper fit for my setup. Thanks to her outstanding service, I chose the 25-foot cable, which turned out to be perfect. As shown in my attached speed test result, my internet is back at full strength with 234.78 Mbps download and 22.81 Mbps upload. I highly appreciate Antika's professional and patient customer service--she completely deserves five stars! read more

So long story short, I was cleaning up my late sisters apartment and needed supplies. It was a quick walk to the store from her apartment, it had what I needed and there appeared to be enough staff so checkout was quick. That being said it NYC so if you are driving good luck with parking. Also its one of the smallest Target I have ever seen so they have a small inventory than a regular sized one read more

This target comes in clutch even though it's weird it's smack in the middle of Austin. And for the size and where it's situated, it has a decent amount of products. Also, if you have the Target app you can just order pickup. read more

Target - Halfday teas - Department Stores Near Me - Forest Hills, New York

It's pretty funny the current photos (#1) don't paint a realistic picture of this Target on Austin St, it's far less glamorous than the initial gallery pics would suggest. And by virtue of being located along one of the busiest streets in Forest Hills, it is also one of the most frequented spots in the hood. The space is something akin to a former gym or drug store (#2) with all the old school vibes of a NY style department store: low ceilings, an escalator into a lower floor, employees that don't care about much, and really narrow aisles. This place could probably use a makeover, which would really be a good thing despite the fact it's relatively clean and (sometimes) organized. Since it's not a mega Target a la suburbia, it's a store with a double edge sword: inventory is limited / specialty items aren't likely to be available but most items are easy to find. I would only utilize this location for common items and would recommend avoiding the produce section completely. Lastly, since most Targets close at 10PM, this is one of the few department stores that are open semi-late. That in itself, makes this place semi-convenient. _____________ (#1) At the time of this review. Thank you Target Corporate. (#2) Don't be surprised if this place morphs into a Duane Reade one day. read more

Target 70-00 Austin St, Forest Hills, NY 11375 Charlie Went Above and Beyond - Truly Exceptional Service I live nearby and recently visited the store looking for a specific item. Unfortunately, my initial experience was disappointing-two employees either told me to find it myself or simply said it wasn't available without offering any help. Then I met Charlie, and the experience completely turned around. Charlie was extremely helpful and professional. Not only did he personally walk me to the correct aisle, but he also helped me locate the item and took the time to really listen and understand what I was looking for. He acknowledged my needs, suggested additional options, and even recommended ways to order the item so I could still purchase it through Target. Charlie made me feel like a valued customer-something that was noticeably lacking in my earlier interactions. His patience, product knowledge, and willingness to go the extra mile truly stood out. Employees like Charlie are the reason customers come back. I sincerely hope the company recognizes the value he brings to the team. read more

I love this area in Forest Hills but the only downfall is parking is not free. Target is located few shops down from Martha's country bakery and has a parking adjacent to their main entrance. Street parking is available which is only free after 7pm. Compared to many other Target stores this one is definitely small and has 2 floors. The first floor has the checkout area (self checkout and registers) online pick up, toys, clothes, and holiday decor. The second floor has the technology department, beauty, personal items, fresh market, and cleaning and pet supplies. I usually order stuff and pick it up here sometimes. Their in-store inventory is good as they usually have what I need. This store is not for pet supplies at all. They have a very limited stock of food, treats, and toys. I personally would never shop here for my pet as they don't have anything that I may need. But the beauty products that I need are usually always available. The store is always clean every time I have visited at least and the employees are polite as well. read more

This Lil target, which is not a little store, but a little Target, kinda hits the target. Finding things in there is hit or miss. It is best described as better than a Bodega and not as good as, well, a regular Target. I find the staff to be helpful. But you can't help the feeling that this is a Target for people who don't have a Target. Like a vitamin. Great supplement but it's no meal. read more

I didn't get far when looking for a Target, if I had, perhaps it'd be renamed Farget? So this Target is located right near Kung Fu Tea which I go to on a fairly regular basis so I stopped in here on a couple of occasions when I needed one thing or another. It's a little smaller than most Targets I've been to, and a little more crazy busy. It has pretty hefty security and some suspicious looks from one of the employees, but generally it's a good convenience store type mini-Target that helps out the neighbourhood by being here even though the prices are high. read more

Target - This place has made themselves a target - Department Stores Near Me - Forest Hills, New York

The Target on Austin street is tiny compared to other locations with limited but essential products. It's really convenient and easier to reach out to when we need something in urgent. The staff was reluctant and careless so we would rather use self checkout or sometimes give up buying when we can't find what we are looking for. read more

This Target located in Forest Hills, Queens is microscopic tiny. I am accustomed to moderately large size Target locations. This location has only two floors of limited personal beauty items, a pharmacy within, and very limited home goods. There is no bedding, linens, or kitchen ware for home goods selection. This is NOT a standard full-service Target and very limited of a selection of anything daily routine needs. This is my first encounter at a microscopic tiny Target. I sorrowfully miss Barnes and Noble as the tenant of this commercial space which was imperative to the Forest Hills community. Customer parking is a paid garage nearby and street metered parking is limited times. I did purchased two long sought after items: Clorox cleaning wipes and facial tissues. Self-serve checkout cashiers are available in this microscopic small location. read more

This Target is tiny. Like the mini-me version of retail. It has a few floors separating groceries, personal items, pharmacy, and home goods. Basically, I just dropped in here for some snacks for the trip back home when I was in the area. Otherwise, no reason to ever come back here again. read more

A very cool place to shop at on Austin street. This maybe one of the smaller targets, almost like a target pop up store .me and my wife stop by this target sometimes while we are on Austin street to do a little shopping. This location has a nice food section ,great snacks and frozen foods alike. They also have a nice little technology section I purchased a nice pair of headphones from over there one time.this store basically has the same stuff that a regular target has but it is only smaller. The staff was pretty decent. And the atmosphere wasn't bad .and buy this store being on Austin street, it is a plus a little target store by it self and not in a mall is pretty cool.so if you don't like the atmosphere and the hussle and bustle of the mall .this might be the place for you ,it has 2 levels up stairs is the food section. This place serves it purpose on Austin street for the community and the people just out shopping. I would definitely go back there. read more

Target - Department Stores Near Me - Forest Hills, New York

It's nice to have a Target in this neighborhood. This was the Barnes and Noble Book store a long time ago. Much smaller Target compared to the ones in Queens Place. Selection for clothing is a bit limited however the materials they display are trendy and items you would definitely buy. Today the escalator going up was not working and the escalator going down was operational. Nice to get some cardio workout while shopping. Two floors to this particular Target. The grocery items and pharmacy-cvs is on the upper level. Clothing and home goods are on the lower level. Aisles of snacks are plentiful as well as candy and sweets. For a small store they make sure that there are items for everyone. read more

Another example of how certain aspects of life stink right now. I want to make clear that what I'm about to compose here is not entirely targets fault. The presence of an armed guard is not what anyone wants. Unfortunately Target deems it necessary because of the very sad state of humanity right now. That aside, the staff at this Target could not be more miserable. They exist only to socialize with each other. When I ask a member of the staff a question I am responded to with an icy look and a mumbled response. Hey I get it everyone is hurting and to have to take a job at Target sucks badly. I guess I am just nostalgic for the days of Barnes and Noble and friendly staff. P.S. Target, dude, for the love of God, can you please stock your shelves? read more

The toy section here SUCKS! One half empty aisle. A lot of nothing. The rest of the store seems ok.

Shelves are often out of stock and no one is restocking. esp almond milk, can't find it everytime. This is a very small store, but they seems have problems to manage the stock. read more

Wish it was expanded. Cashiers are nice despite the attitudes that come in through the door. There's a beefy security at the door. The store layout is confusing. Upon walking in there's menswear-cashiers- womenswear then in the center a sprinkle of home (we need more home merchandise) then in the back corner are holiday decor. Upstairs is better escalator leaves you off in front of electronic section off the side is the book section. To you right is the personal care/ home cleaning aisles and towards the back is all food. Sigh was that exhausting? It's tiny. It has a lot of good stuff but it's not a location to be excited about. All shelves are well stocked. Aisles are clean and clear and everything is also well organized. The self checkout gets a little rowdy they should either move it to the womenswear or lose it. I think the cashiers get the job done better. and the line moves better. Most people still don't know how to self-check out. Please lose the clothing and add more home decor and home essentials. read more

Target - Cvs upstairs - Department Stores Near Me - Forest Hills, New York

I've never seen a target so small in my life. It's more like a grocery store upstairs. The workers don't seem to pleased to be at this location. The bottom floor has a small and I mean small selection of clothing. The upstairs has a lot of grocery items, makeup and electronics. ::Bathroom Alert:: Smells amazing in there I was very shocked. A lot of paper and soap. I give the place two stars because it should he a bigger location. I feel like this area didn't need a target. An aldi would have been nice for this spot. read more

This is a pretty new store in this location. It used to be a Barnes and Nobles. It's not a full size Target but it does have most of the basics plus it does have a fresh food section. There's two levels here with escalators taking you up and down right in the center of the store. I'm sure there are elevators as well but I didn't notice them. Seems almost like a mini Target. Parking here can be a challenge though. I know there is a garage next door but I'm not sure of the prices or if it's free for Target shoppers. I don't believe so. There is metered parking but spots are tough to find. read more

Unacceptable experience. Expired foods. The staff here are not well trained and not very helpful. We have had a lot of issues checking out. Prices don't match and the front end help is usually rude and not helpful. We end up putting the items down and walk out without buying anything. My biggest issue is back in early November we bought granola bars. We got home and realized the expiration date was in October and returned them. There were multiple packs still on the shelf and we told the manager. When we saw them in early December we emailed corporate! It is now 12/31/16 and they are still on the shelf. Gross and unacceptable. I expected better from Target. This store needs to seriously refresh their staff and concept. The food section needs to be more like a Trader Joe's. read more

I absolutely LOVE this Target. Although it is much smaller than other Targets, it really does have a lot! I like coming here for household goods, decorations for parties, toiletries, groceries, and cards. They literally still have everything! They even have an electronic and gaming section as well as a book section. The only think that this target is lacking, is a good clothing section. I have never once bought anything from their clothing section. They do not have the best selection. I love their $1 finds by the register. The staff that works here are always very kind and knowledgeable. I love that there is a Target here close to me in Forest Hills! read more

Honestly I think they would of had better business by keeping the Barnes and Noble here. This place is a mess a hot mess there never supply what you need. They never have sales and is priced as if it is located in the city. Customer Service is always fantastic, no complaints in that area. Seltzer water, maple syrup, boiled eggs are just a few things to name that they sometimes don't carry. As much as I complaint I still continue to patronize this location because it's convenient. read more

This is the most badly Run & stocked store l have EVER been to, and l have traveled the world !!! The only reason I have ever been there to shop is because of the location to my Apt !! The staff hang out in groups, and whenever you ask about how to find a product , they if it's not on the shelf, we don't have it , even if you ask them to check in the stock room, and this could be at 9am 1pm or 5 pm !!! The only reason l shop in that store is because it is close to my apartment building, but l am very happy to say, in the Very near future, we will have a Trader Joe store directly in front of my Building, and l and many other people will not have to waste time at Target !!!!!! I was perusing through Yelp looking for a Target closer to me. Much to my surprise Target replaced Barnes & Nobles on Austin Street in Forest Hills. I was more than delighted to know that I did not have to shlep it to Queens Boulevard. I was greeted by Cathy and I told her my dilemma. As I'm explaining to her what I wanted to return she paid me the sweetest compliment. Cathy told me I was really pretty. That made my heart smile. I thanked her and tried to hold back from blushing, but I couldn't no matter how hard I tried. Cathy encountered an issue when she tried scanning my receipt she called over the assistant manager, Trei. He assisted Cathy with refunding my card for the items I returned. Overall I had a great experience due to both Cathy and Trei. read more

This is by far the worst Target around that I've been to. They really don't have much of a selection of anything. Their website/app says they have things in stock, but when you get there, they say they don't have it and they don't know why. Sometimes it even says on their handhelds that they have it yet they still can't find it. This has happened to me 3 times now. I was told "the app isn't always accurate". Well, then why do you even have it? Not sure how that makes any sense. Their clothing selection is minimal and disappointing. I went there last week and could not find a simple black fitted T-shirt. But they have 12 racks of shorts. No baby clothes at all. They also charge you about $8 more on certain baby formulas than other Targets. They will price match if you mention it and show them the online price, if not you get charged their prices. You're better off taking the trip to the Target at Queens Place or in College Point. read more

This store is just way too small. Not worth going to unless you live within walking distance in the neighborhood. Then you can go to their drug store (but then there are already other drug stores in the neighborhood) or get some groceries. The clothing and other stuff. The selection is just horrible. The variety and stock is just too limited. I'd rather trek farther to the one on Queens blvd. They call it a Target Express. So keep that in mind before trekking out here and being majorly disappointed. read more

This Target is not worth the trip. If you live in the area, sure, give it a try. Otherwise, go somewhere else, anywhere else. The main floor, by the front entrance, houses a sad collection of clothing. I am using the term collection very loosely. The rest of the first floor just didn't make sense to me. It's a hodge podge of aisles and product. Upstairs has the household needs and pantry items. Don't get excited because the selection is awful and the quantity on the shelves is even worse or non-existent. Go to the Target on Queens Blvd. or College Point in Flushing if you don't have a car. You can drive to both but the parking situation is awful. It's a parking garage where you can't wheel the cart to your car. If you have a car, and are looking for a Target in Queens, drive to the 20th Ave location near the Whitestone. This one is what most people imagine, free parking lot and a Target with wide aisles. read more

This Target never has anything in stock. Whatever else is available in the store, is very limited options.

My primary exposure to Target are the branches in New Jersey. They tend to be large, warehouse sized buildings where stock is laid out with room to spare. Theoretically, you should be able to go up and down each aisle and pass someone with a cart and not crash into them. In some cases if you pick the right spot, you could probably put your arms out wide and spin around (I will neither confirm nor deny that I have done this). Then there's this lil Target in Forest Hills. Located in the former Barnes & Nobles space, it is like someone took a big Target, hit it with a shrink ray and then plopped it into Queens. As soon as you walk in BOOM there's the men's clothing section. Walk a little further and there's a very small housewares section. Head upstairs and the toy section practically mashes into the food market section. The designers really did not waste any space, and yes, in some aisles it can feel a bit cramped (no big carts here!). Still, from a decor and cleanliness standpoint I would put this Target at the same level as many of the others I have been to. The staff was also nice but they looked a bit tired (it was about 8PM when I was there so I understood). Interestingly they have both cashiers and self-checkout options, though I admit there was little speed advantage to the self-checkout. On another note, there is a small Starbucks attached to the Target. It too is like someone took a shrink ray to a Starbucks and then mashed it into this Target. It was jam packed (lots of laptops on tables) but looked clean. I would not go to this Target if you want the full huge Target experience, but if you know what you want and just want to charge in and grab it, this is a good spot to do it. For the full experience, hop a train down to the one on Queens Boulevard instead. read more

This the 2nd review from me for this store. Yeah, sometimes they are so busy that they're out of stock, especially food. And yeah there are alot of kids working in the store. But again I went & asked someone to check stock of at item and they didn't have it -- so don't blame the employee, blame Target. Every single time I ask for assistance I get nothing but politeness & assistance. And where else are you getting cream cheese for $1.99? -- nowhere. People working there are young and not getting rich so be nice and they'll be nice -- this is a tiny Target store trying to do their best. You have to do your "best" also. read more

The best part of any Target is being able to wander around the aisles and check out the stuff. Well that's not possible in a Target the size of a drugstore. Not only is this Target small and sad, the inventory is unremarkable and extremely limited.
