The recipient of the gift in question seems to shop often and a lot. She seems to be great at guessing what brands people are wearing and knows styles from AX to H&M to Forever21. Yet, she enjoys receiving gifts from folks, just not from places she knows too well. So with that in mind and the help of some female friends who were already shopping, I somehow ended up here. Greenpoint Avenue isn't home to a lot of these types of businesses. This section of the Sunnyside neighborhood reminds me of the Steinway area in Astoria, except with less clothing stores and way more Hispanic businesses. Baby Blue stands out because I'm told this location is new and the clothes are affordable. Customer service was snooty to me and were generally not helpful. Maybe they thought I was some creepy, perverted male parading the store asking pseudo-superficial questions to pretend I was interested. In the end, I managed to find a "going out" top for $15 and apparently it was on sale. Best part though, was the gift made the birthday girl's night. She thought it was from one of her female friends, but was shocked to find out it was me. Ecstatic and impressed, she said she would be wearing this top soon. Her BF on the other hand asked me when I was going to start working there and I immediately became the hetero man's laughing stock. The laughing stopped as soon I as replied, "Yes, I'll get her a thong next time."

My biggest gripe with this particular location, though, is that the products from the same brands aren't always grouped together. Instead, they're strewn about different aisles. I was specifically looking for the EOS Cashmere Lip Butter, and the EOS products seemed to span about three different aisles in various places. There was no rhyme or reason as to why the lip products were on different shelves and in different aisles instead of being grouped together. I was halfway ready to give up when I decided to look for the other products on my list. Ironically, that's how I ended up coming across the main thing I had been searching for! If Target could revamp the aisles and group products from the same brands or product lines together, it would make shopping so much easier and less frustrating. That said, there are definitely some things I really like about this location. There are two self-checkout areas on opposite sides of the store, plus regular cashiers in the middle. That's probably my favorite feature because it gives you plenty of options when you're ready to check out. Oh, and the store is really clean, which is always a huge plus. It's a massive Target with a great selection and convenient checkout options. Just please make the products easier to find.

The food court is located on the lower level, and it's very spacious, with a great variety of food options. The mall is pretty big, stretching from west to east. You can easily walk from one end to the other without stepping outside, as long as you stay on the upper floors. Parking is a bit of a nightmare! And while getting an Uber is usually quick, make sure you know exactly where your pickup point is because that can get a little chaotic, too. If you're trying to avoid crowds and teenagers after school, I wouldn't recommend coming during those hours. The mall gets packed with kids once school lets out, and weekends can be just as crowded. My recommendation? If you prefer a quieter, more relaxed shopping experience, come in the morning. You'll thank me later!

Their parking rates, even though they keep raising the rates, are still the most reasonable rates in Flushing. When I first started parking here, the rates were $3/3 hrs (what a steal!!)....they are now $6/3hrs, but still great rates! They also offer special rates if parking for the Mets Games. I wish they'd fix their pay stations though! Currently, you can only pay when you exit on the ground floor. They lines to exit sometimes get backed up because ppl can't seem to figure out how to pay....go figure! The shops: Is it me, or are they losing a lot of stores? Their anchor stores (BJs, Target, Sky foods) remain the same but some of the retail stores seem to close abruptly.
