Cool spot for affordable clothing, the kids section has some really nice jump suits with my son favorite movie and cartoons characters. Plus the adults section has some cool cargo pants and bubble vests. Jackets hats etc, for some good prices. But one thing the check out line is pretty long.but it moves quickly so that not too bad.The store is pretty spacious as well. On Sunday Feb 1st 2026 I took my daughter's shopping at the Primark Location in Jamaica Queens NY . What started out as a fun day with mom turned into a scary situation. The system in Primark was acting up. Unbeknownst to me I paid for $345 worth of merchandise with my card . The money was removed from my card however I was told I did not pay and that I could not leave with my merchandise. Like any credit card transaction there is a hold placed on the card until the transaction is finalized with the bank . The company wanted me to pay another $345 dollars advising me that they don't have their money so it's not their fault and I should take it up with my bank . I advised them that I paid after speaking to management and that I was not leaving without my merchandise and I left . Upon leaving I was followed down the block by a male who identified himself as a detective . In order to not scare my kids I went back to the store however called the police to help me because I paid for my merchandise. When the police arrived I thought I was going to get help however the store reported that I stole the merchandise and I need to be arrested . While my children were alone with me I asked that my family was given a little grace to get to me as I paid for my items and this is ridiculous. I threatened to sue and advised the cops that if they were taking me in I would like a lawyer . With that being said the store manger then states that I didn't intend on stealing and it's not my fault it's the banks fault . It was resolved with them taking back everything I bought for my girls and still have not received my money back . I used the same card in other stores down the block and in the area without issue . The store treated me as though I was a criminal embarrassed myself and traumatized my children , using intimidation of there male staff for merchandise that was no longer theirs because it was paid for . Fast forward to Tuesday Feb 3rd 2026 the transaction has been finalized as I initially stated it would be leaving myself and my children without the merchandise we shopped for or the money to shop elsewhere. I was banned from the store and criminalized in front of other customers on that day. read more

This was my first time checking out this location. It is the first Queens location in NYC. They have a bunch of selections similar to other Primark from clothing to shoes, home accessories, and makeup. It is only one floor compared to other Primark I have been to. During that time, there were a lot of people who were shopping with their children and families. So it was busy. But the checkout line wasn't too long. They were pretty quick for the most part. The wait was about 10 minutes. While you wait, there are items on the shelves you can look at, which keep you busy. The store was fairly neat and organized and they do have a restroom in the store if you ever need to use the bathroom. You will have to ask the security guard. Overall, it is a huge store in Jamaica, Queens. read more

The front of this store used to be UNIQUE THRIFT STORE which sells quality goods for cheap. It still exists (just go around the corner to the entrance) but now Primark occupies the showplace rent on Jamaica Avenue. This is the UK version of H&M and Forever 21. Like so many of these upgraded dollar store "boutiques", it's clean, well-lit and made to look like the quality department stores of yesteryear, which it is not. It also sells branded Disney items - like Five Below, which sells low quality clothing and toy items branded with Hello Kitty, Pusheen, Star Wars, etc. - Primark hides the cheap nature of its stuff by stamping it with a well-known Disney character. The first time I walked in, I was impressed. Wow, faux leather jackets, sequined purses and cargo pants for only $20 or less? How cool is that? Then I picked up one of the cargo pants and was disappointed at how thin the material was - and the stitching was already unraveling on the side! Clearly things are made to fall apart only days after you hand over your money to the cashier and leave, if not sooner. Mass market, generic mall stores are invading Jamaica Avenue. Primark joins H&M, Target, Shake Shack, etc. It would be tragic if Unique Thrift Store (where you can find lightly used, genuine COACH or Kate Spade handbags for $20) closes because junk stores like these jack up the rent. I still treasure the four COACH bags I bought from there - they also sell lightly used toys, housewares, books, and DVDs. I once bought a set of authentic Brooks Brothers gold tie holders that cost $60 retail but was only $5 at Unique. I know the budget minded, young and snotty (I'm trendy - no "used" clothing for me!) will love Primark, but Unique Thrift Store is helping to save the planet, while Primark is adding to the landfill. As soon as I entered the manager asked me if I was sure if I wanted to come to the store and what am I doing there I replied to shop and make an exchange. I went to the register to make a purchase and to do the exchange the woman told me I could do the exchange without the receipt but not a refund but the bald head, head light skin manager told them no. I come to this store at least three times a month spending over $150 and never experienced this. All of this because he have a personal issue with me! read more
