This original location was less than a 5-minute walk from my bus stop. The weather was in the high 70s today. You can buy snacks, beverages, frozen food, ice cream, kitchenware, health & beauty, etc. Check out their promotional sale items throughout the store. I bought these items below: Kasugai Wasabi Green Peas $4.99 Lay's Sweet Potato Chips (Original Flavor) $2.99 Maruka Kankoku Noriten $2.99 Morinaga Hi-Chew Mixed Soft Candy $2.99 Kasugai Yuzu Gummy $2.49 I love, love, love Teso Life so much!

All Japanese products. The have a bit of everything: housewares, toys, perfumes, makeup, lotions, dishware, hardware, figurines, baby products, pet stuff, desserts, food products, sauces, drinks and snacks! So many interesting snacks to choose from! They also have an online store, if you would like to check out some of their products before going.

Love this store, go in once in awhile. So many snacks, desserts, drinks, cosmetics, makeup, etc to choose from. Got ice cream from here for the 1st time. This half matcha, half vanilla very frozen soft serve cone was a bit too bitter for me. The agar agar jelly ($2.39) candy was pretty good. I had 2 and then couldn't anymore cuz it was too much sugar. Very different from homemade agar due to different ingredients (my mom uses coconut water & coconut milk). This one has artificial flavors. I grabbed a pack of the mochi truffle ($4) as soon as I saw it. My sister also grabbed a pack when she saw mine. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius. I've loved mochi since the 1st time I tried it. Mochi ice cream is great too but the mochi isn't as chewy since it's frozen. This however, is my fave so far outta all the mochi flavors & types I've tried. I absolutely love dark chocolate & this has cocoa dusted on the outside. It's chewy but not as much as plain mochi since the center also has chocolate in it. This is the best mochi/chocolate I've gotten so far. Words cannot describe how much I love this product. I grabbed a box of the Takuma dried crab ($5) since I was intrigued cuz I'd never seen small, dried crab like that. My sister's friend said it was good but man, did I regret wasting $5 on this. Idk what kinda seasoning they use, but it just tasted horrible to me. The seasoning was very strong & the stench of dried seafood was strong. It was sweet since they add sugar but I couldn't get rid of the horrible taste & smell of this product from my mouth. Even after I brushed my teeth, I felt like I could still smell & taste it. I don't recommend this product at all, unless you've tried it before & you like it. I love myulchi which is sweet, dried, tiny fish, so I thought I'd love this as well. Boy, was I wrong. Unless you want your breath to smell like fart & you wanna feel like you ate , I don't suggest trying this.

Came here last night to explore the snacks I heard this place sells. I live near a lot of H&Y or Y mart supermarkets, so I was looking for things I don't typically see there. There is plenty to look at, I definitely spent a lot of time trying to pick some of the perfect items. One that stood out to me was making your own candy sushi. I felt like a scientist making this stuff! Super fun and there was a lot on the shelves there. I got a bunch of different packages of ramen, already ate one and was so good! Can't wait to go back and try something else out!

I come to Teso Life for one thing and one thing only: Japanese flavored Kit Kats! Of all the other various places which sell these Kit Kats, Teso Life consistently has the widest variety of flavors (not just the usual matcha, dark chocolate and strawberry). Yes, they are a little pricey, but they are imported and hard to get; so worth it if you want to treat yourself (or others). They even have high-end gift boxes of unique flavors (ex: Saki!). As others have complained about this store, yes, the aisle are very narrow and cramped. I came early on a Sunday morning, and it wasn't so bad. Ideally, you should come during "off-peak" hours to have a more enjoyable experience. Or....go to their new larger location, also in Flushing! Teso Life also sells other household and beauty items but honestly, I didn't even look at those items. This visit was strictly a Kit Kat run! Hahaha Warning: you WILL end up spending more money than you wanted to but hey, carpe diem! Enjoy the little treasures in life! :)

Premium boxed Kit Kats: Strawberry Cheesecake flavor shown here. Bagged version available too.

I think I have a Kit Kat obsession, no comment from the Peanut Gallery please. After reading about this spot from a few Yelp Elites, I am hooked! By the time this draft publishes, I think I've made two trips here in one month's time. Dangerous on my wallet and waistline. I found many varieties of Kit Kats imported from Japan on my travels and around the city in general but no one beats their variety thus far. On my visits here, I managed to find three special Japan exotic flavors: Amaou Strawberry, Sake Plum, and Sake Peach! Not to mention the other fun kinds: dark chocolate, matcha green, green tea, Chestnut, Cranberry Almond, Purple potato, Sweet Potato, Red Bean, Lemon, and Strawberry Cheesecake! Some flavors are hit or miss but half the fun is trying. Prices range from $4.99 - $14.99, custom boxes for gift giving too. I've also noticed they sell home products for the kitchen, facial products, makeup, gifts, socks, and fun toys - everything awesome from Japan. I even managed to find the bottled tea drinks and sea urchin rice crackers! What?! Yeah, so cool. Totally recommend you making a pit stop even if you're not looking for anything specific, Window shopping at it's best. I'm a fan. Join the rewards if you like it, I know I did.

This store has some cool products. Some hard to find cosmetics, household products, toys and snacks. I had a good time roaming the aisle and looking at the various items in the store. Most of the items are imported from Asia so it was fun checking them out. The store is big, bright and nicely organized. Unlike other stores, like Daiso, the store doesn't feel overly stocked and confusing. The snack aisles were my favorite to peruse. There are some great snacks offered here, like strawberry cheesecake Kit Kats, mango creamy soda and matcha green tea jelly. A lot of the items are unique and hard to find but I found a lot of the them to be overpriced. A small bag of garden flavored chips for $4?! A travel mug for $40! Yes, they were all adorable and kitschy but too expensive for me. I might consider buying one or two items from here for gifts or when I'm feeling like I want to splurge. Otherwise, it's mostly window shopping for me when I visit here.

    moldy product in their fridge

Nowadays, at every corner in Flushing you'll find yourself walking past a Teso Life. Better yet, if you're curious, you'll find yourself inside one. From carrying interesting flavors of kit kats to the best asian beauty products, Teso is the #1 best place to find it all. This store is definitely one of my favorite places to window shop and regular shop lol. A great place to kill time and my savings. They offer a wide variety of asian snacks and ramen to lots of unique home goods and beauty products. It's guaranteed that you will be carefully looking up and down every aisle much like a regular target run. I find myself walking in for a quick glance but end up stuck inside for an hour. The only reason Im taking off a star, because I noticed that they were selling visibly moldy pastries in their fridge...

Experience: This was my first time at any Teso shop. I came in here after seeing all their little piggy toys in the window. This store carried so much more than what you can see from outside the store windows. I was surprised that there was a fridge of fresh Japanese snacks such as mochi. There were tons of snack aisles too. Even just for matcha Kit Kats there were 4 varieties. There was also a lot of Japanese makeup to choose from. I found chips here that I used to have to bring all the way from Hong Kong. There were brands that I've definitely seen while shopping in HK. It was nice to see brands that I recognized. You know those Japanese sodas that sushi stores rip you off for $5? You can find them here for under $2! (I've actually never tried those because they're so pricey for such a small bottle!) If you're super into Japanese snacks, definitely check out Teso Life. Decoration: Not much going on as far as decoration goes, but the store was well lit. Recommend it?: Yes. Welcome Teso Life! A great addition to Roosevelt Ave.

Wide selections of candies and snacks.. price is fairly reasonable and some actually cheaper than H mart and other Chinese grocery stores!

A Japanese supermarket or store right in the center of Flushing. Awesome!!! They sell everything straight from Japan. The items may be a bit expensive compared from buying them from other places. But it is soo cool the fact that you are getting stuff straight from Japan! I will definitely come back more frequently to this place as it has soo much cool stuff and everyday Japanese items that I could integrate into my life : )

So easy to get carried away here. They sell a plethora of Asian snacks typically sold overseas. They also sell other random things but we always only ever buy the sweets. I observed a cosmetics section, a home goods section and cute gifts all around the shop. My daughters love to browse the aisles but be prepared to bump into people and the fully stocked shelves because it's tight and very crowded. They have a membership card for savings but I always forget to sign up because checkouts are always rushed because of the crowded lines.

Now, let's talk about the goods - they've got an ocean of $1.99 earrings that are fun to sift through if you enjoy a little treasure hunt. Just don't expect them to last longer than the trend itself, because, let's be real, these pieces are more "fashion" than function. But hey, for under two bucks, why not? They've also got some pricier items if you're feeling fancy, and the store is a paradise for Korean fashion lovers. You'll find everything from trendy clothes and accessories to socks, wallets, and jewelry - basically all the stuff that makes you feel like you walked out of a K-drama (or at least tried). I'm honestly baffled by the negative rating because it's really not thattttt bad. The place is fun, affordable, and they even wrap your purchases like a gift, which is always a nice touch.
