Mall in the Flushing area with a solid food court (used to be better), terrible parking lot (expensive compared with the SkyView Mall), a few larger restaurants (hot pot, Sichuan and more). Lots of small shops for jewelry and toys, clothes, services, and bedding. Jmart is a large grocery on the first floor for produce, meat and dry goods where if you spend $50 you get 2hr of parking free. Elevators are big for groceries, etc. but the parking below the building is poorly designed and often traffic gets stuck, so be prepared to wait a bit - so don't get too close to your time limit(s) if you don't want to hit the next cost level. Cash only in the garage.

This is a mall that also doubles as a food court and triples as a grocery store with JMart inside. The food court is on the bottom level with lots of options and obviously mainly Asian food. Boba options at the food court include Kung Fu Tea, Gong Cha, and Tiger Sugar. The shops there sold a variety of things ranging from clothes to jewelry to accessories. On the second floor of the mall there are signs for restrooms pointing in different directions but there were actually no restrooms on that floor. It seemed the only restrooms in the mall were on the bottom floor at the food court which were not great and had a distinctly unpleasant smell to them. It's bad when even I can smell it. The main feature here is the food court and JMart if you're looking to do some grocery shopping.

This place has alot to offer. But the crowds are chaotic...I felt like i was back in the Philippines street market with the pushy crowds. Biggest tip i have for this place : BRING CASH!! They do have a parking garage, located right before the entrance to the mall. The parking garage is very short. So be aware opening your trunk if you have a SUV. Be very conscious and aware making turns on the loops bc the roadway is narrow, has blind spots and tight turns on the loops particularly. Be aware that many of the food offerings are cash only. Since everything is pretty much made to order everywhere, it does take around 10 to more mins to get your orders. Alot of menus are in the native language of the food offerings. But don't stress too much if you can't read the options in that language bc many do show english menus too. The cafeteria can get crazy busy at times, so you will most likely have to share your table with strangers at times. They opened up a new spa upstairs and my husband tried it, but was told at the end that it was cash only. There were no atms upstairs, or really anywhere. There's really weak to no cellphone service within the building too, so he had a difficult time reaching me to get some cash for him. Luckily after 20mins of "idk how I'm supposed to pay" since he doesn't carrry too much cash, being a card person...one of the workers allowed for a zelle payment to their personal account. The parking as well is cash only. Because the parking garage entrance and exit is on a busy road, it can be hard entering and leaving. There are staff who will hold foot traffic back the best way they can, but pedestrians do what they want and will try to get hit and challenge the staff and your vehicle. Really ballsy. So you just have to be very aware of your surroundings. If you spend over $50 at jmart you can get your parking validated for up to 2 hrs. Don't forget your reusable bags too! If you forget, they offer for purchase reusable bags. But they are not $.05 bags because they are legitimate bags.

Mar 22 - Only place I found soup dumplings - perfectly soupy and tasty. $7.25. 5/5.

Right off the 7 train, this mall includes an expansive asian food court and huge JMart supermarket. Reviewed JMart separately, so this review is for the food court! A perfect spot to try authentic dishes from many asian countries all in one place! KEY TAKEAWAYS: - AMBIANCE - Food court setting with ample seating and very clean. Went at 5pm on a weekday so it wasn't very crowded but expect it gets quite busy at prime times. Most vendors speak at least some english and the pics listed next to options at many stalls are helpful. - FOOD - Amazing across the board. Have been daydreaming about going back and made plans for this month. This time I'm taking leftovers! --- SOUP DUMPLINGS - Xiao Long Bao (Soup dumplings) from E Noodle - The only stall I noticed selling these and was not disappointed. These were top notch with the perfect amount of soup, flavor and consistency. $7.25 (Listed under appetizers as Shanghi dumplings) - SEE PIC of stall. --- PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE - w veggies was to die for. I loved Thai food in Thailand but am often disappointed with the plethora of Thai restaurants. I was not disappointed with my rice. I am huge on sauces and it didn't even need any, the rice was so flavorful and pineapple was lightly grilled (SEE PIC OF STALL). $11.50 --- BUBBLE TEA - Delicious with fresh boba at the well known Kung Fu Tea. - CASH - Reading other reviews, I just brought cash for everything as many stalls don't take card. - LOCATION - I don't recommend driving as street parking is VERY and I repeat VERY limited but that is flushing. The 7 train is only 1 block away.

An essential part of a visit to Chinatown is here. It has all kinds of interesting things inside. New World Mall isn't that big but it has lots to check out. Food court is the favorite. The upstairs also has some cheaply made stuff. Best thing here is the food court. It has all kinds of Asian food. There's Chinese, Japanese, and Thai. Most people are only interested in this area. There's so much to choose from. Dumplings are some of the best. They also have noodles and soup. As for the rest of the mall, there's some things to look at. J-Mart is a grocery store. Also you can find pretty cheap clothes. Unfortunately most of these are knockoffs. It's expected. They have some things that are worth checking out. I like the food court the most here. It's pretty noisy so know that going in. The grocery store upstairs also has hard to find ingredients and stuff.

If everyone here is courageous, then it's a Brave New World.

I was a bigger fan of the Nude World Mall, but that got shut down by Rudy Giuliani (not my favourite person, not even in my 7 billion favourite people), so there you go. I recommend that every single person visit the New World Mall. Especially if you're not Asian and/or have never been to the Far East, because being inside this Mall is (in my limited experience) exactly what it is like to be inside a shopping Mall in the Far East. Sure, there are some American elements to it, but it seems less than 10% of the clientele are not East Asian, and less than 5% of the stores and products and foods and drinks are not East Asian, and so it really is the true "Mall Of Chinatown". People will take you to, or direct you to, Chinatown Manhattan. That's nice enough, for tourists and maybe for a blend of cultures. However if you want the real deal, the true ethnic immersion, the absolute authenticity, it has to be Flushing. This Mall is the busiest and largest in Flushing (that I have been to), and has a massive amount of food options. I usually go straight down to the ground floor (where the food court is) and indulge in some Bubble Tea and such. The prices in this Mall aren't great (when are Mall prices ever great), but the Bubble Teas are amazing. Coco (outside, on the street) is probably my favourite, but the chain (with very rude service) in the corner at the back - Gong Cha - has freaking amazing Milk Tea too. Give it a try and see what I mean. Next door, the more friendly TBaar (with ads all over the mall) make fancy fruity Bubble Teas that might really rock your world if you have a sweet tooth. The Passion Fruit was great. The obligatory Kung Fu Tea has good service and recommendations (some days), and the typical array of chain-bubble-tea options. Their Almond Milk is good, they use Lactaid instead of Milk, and their Lemon Black Tea wins the Bubble Tea World War. Altogether, you must come into this Mall for the experience. But don't come in this Mall unless you're in private, in a stall, in the bathroom. It's no longer the Nude World Mall and we exhibitionists have to get used to that, or we'll be getting used to Jail Time.

I like to come here to get some Asian food! There have many choices. The only thing I don't like because parking lot is so small n sloppy.. They only accept the cash.

Beautiful Mall with lots to do. Mall included stores such as Target, Converse, Nike, Puma, Daiso, F21 Red, and so much more. The J-Mart Supermarket is offers so many grocery options as well. If you're in the area or visiting NYC, definitely stop by for great deals!

I only come here for the supermarket and the food court. I usually buy snacks from the supermarket as I cannot find the same snacks else where. The supermarket carries a large variety of snacks. The food court has a great variety of restaurants that you can dine in. They are: Kung Fu Tea, Korean restaurants, meat sticks, dumplings, handmade noodle soup, and others. The food are usually made fast and cheap price. The food taste is usually good

Best food court in flushing. The only downside of this place is how crowded it gets on the weekends. Love the food court. So many vendors to choose from, but you must bring cash to eat because that's all they take!

An Asian mall complex crammed with three levels of Asian fast food court, jewelry, cheap nail salons, cheap hair salons, candy stores, home goods, sketchy clothing stores, Hello Kitty accessories, lingerie boutique, and sketchy accessories sold and seen from street peddlers for tech gadgets. Do not expect high quality for permanent long term usage. Mandarin Chinese spoken here is the time/place serving most useful without businesses doping customers. The main level houses a Chinese supermarket, Jmart. New World Mall is where the young and 20 year olds hang after school. Note: Cash only in most of these businesses.

Love the variety! In the food court, it takes about 5 mins to get your food because everything is FRESHLY MADE.

Get the pork burger (rou jia mo) at the stall called Tong Guan with the fatty pork option. You may have had this dish before elsewhere, but the fact that they use a flaky-crusted bread as the vehicle for all that porky goodness changes the game entirely, son. Don't fux with the imposters. Ya boi knows what's good.

Ask the Community - New World Mall

Is there free parking?

No. There is no free parking unless you shop in the JMart upstairs, buy something, and have the parking receipt stamped by the cashier. That entitles you to 2 hours free parking.

Pet allow in the mall if carried on the owner's arm?

Yes. I have seen people do that.

Any purikura here?

Not in New World. SkyView has.

I visited the pop-up on Saturday, March 21st about 12:15pm and on Monday, March 23rd about 8:30pm. Both times there wasn't a line to enter. The pop-up isn't very big, but it does feature over 500 Sanrio products, including exclusive plushies, blind boxes, stationery, and snacks. I purchased a Hello Kitty and Friends Latte Bear Fitness Figure Blind Box ($17.99), Hello Kitty and Friends Chill Capybara Vinyl Plush Figure Blind Box ($29.99), and a pack of stickers ($1.99). Miniso Members can get a complimentary event tote with a $65+ purchase, but there were signs that the tote were sold out. My friend chose a TOPTOY Sanrio Characters Fantasy Fairy Tale Blind Box ($24.99). Lady M Pop-Up at Tangram was also back! I picked up a slice of Green Tea Mousse Cake ($10) and Checkers ($11.50). I really enjoy the Green Tea Mousse Cake which is a delicate green tea sponge cake with a green tea mousse, fresh whipped cream, and dusting of green tea cake crumbs. Checkers cake weaves together a precise and tender checkerboard of classic and chocolate sponge cake. You can never go wrong with anything at Lady M. I really enjoy how there are always events at Tangram and there's always something to do here.

Today, I happened to be in Flushing with some friends for lunch, and I got a new screen protector for $3, a new case for $5, and a new phone wallet for $3 from K&K. Such an insane deal!! I haven't been personally, but I've heard that Sam's Silver Image is super popular for piercings. Would recommend checking them out if you're looking for a reputable place to get one. All in all, if you haven't stopped by Busy Mall after stuffing your face with delicious Flushing soup dumplings or K-BBQ for lunch, I'd totally recommend you stop by next time you're around. The sign let me know that Best Northern Dumpling had moved there, so I wondered what else could be inside. Was this another food court? In the middle of the plaza (a long hall really) was good Ol' Best Northern, it was comforting to see the same menu, like seeing an old friend. We enjoyed some fluffly veggie buns here, as they were out of most other things. At the end of the hall was a stall with zero English posted anywhere and zero English spoken. I didn't want to give up, because the little pork wontons being made looked so good, so after several minutes, I got them to serve me something. I just wasn't sure what.... For $3 I got a boiling hot (no, really, I burnt my mouth badly) cup of pork wonton soup. The wontons with their silken wrappers and slightly sweet pork contents were the star, though the delicate broth was impressive too. And they don't cheap out on the wontons, the soup was full of them. There is a bit of a timing issue here though, you want to let the soup cool, but as you wait the wonton skins slowly disintegrate. The proper gobble method must be a skill learned with practice.
