I really love cute stuff and this place has a nice little mix of Asian products. From skincare, to snacks with some household items in the mix. Brought my daughter who has been wanting to try some of the snacks. Appreciate that lots of items had English translations so you kinda knew what you were buying. It is a bit hard to find parking in this busy area but we got lucky in the municipal parking lot. I'm a big fan of Teso, and this location did not disappoint! It's not as big as the location in K-town, but it's bigger than the location in Chinatown. I think it's about the same size as the Flushing location. It's well-organized, bright and beautiful, and with a great selection of imported items from Japan. Had no idea this place was a chain until my friend told me her cousin runs one of them. Anyway, if you're looking for some of those obscure Asian snacks and "kawaii" knick-knacks and don't feel like braving Downtown Flushing, this location's where it's at. Obviously, this place is tailored towards Asian girls, which is why I almost always go in with my wife. This is the only local place I've found which sells her favorite chips. Love this store. Regardless of location, I can always find goodies here. My favorite food item are the specialty flavored Lays potato chips and the more exotic Kit Kats. This location has less variety than the Flushing one but I'm optimistic, they will add more or rotate them as time goes on. This is the second week since their official Grand Opening. The other signature items to get here are the Japanese branded cosmetics and makeup. Of course they sell housewares and a little stationary. I'm a fan! Don't forget to get your Teso Loyalty card ... A Japanese supermarket/store right in the center of Bayside. Awesome!!! They sell everything straight from Japan. The items may be a bit expensive compared from buying them from other places. But it is soo cool the fact that you are getting stuff straight from Japan! Totally love this store, and now I don't have to schlep all the way to downtown Flushing to get my goodies! This store has a variety of Asian snacks, beauty care, homegoods, and little novelty toys. There's something for everyone in the family here. Came with my kid on opening day, and she was able to score a cute Sanrio Blind Bag box that she says was sold out at other stationery stores. I was able to score some beauty facial masks, a few snacks on sale, including dark chocolate pocky, hard to find Asian snacks, and belated holiday gifts for friends. The staff was super helpful, especially helping me translate promotional signs that were posted in Chinese, since I cannot read characters. They also helped me find items on the shelves. Staff were also very diligent with mopping floors, and making sure everything looked neat and tidy on the shelves. The only thing is that parking is hit or miss. Although I went on opening day, it was in the evening after 8:00 p.m., so parking on the street was free. However, on a regular weekend day, parking is going to be a little tough, since some of the restaurants still have their outdoor dining huts up, so you may have to circle around the residential areas to find parking. Despite this, I'm really hoping this store is here to stay. Will definitely come back! read more

Brand new location just opened in Bayside! This weekend is grand opening sales and free gifts. My free gift was an 11 oz calamansi drink and lotion samples. All Japanese products. The have a bit of everything: housewares, toys, perfumes, makeup, lotions, dishware, hardware, figurines, baby products, pet stuff, desserts, food products, sauces, drinks and snacks! So many interesting snacks to choose from! They have Lay's potato chips in flavors: Kobe steak; grilled squid; bbq pork; and Thai. If you are a KitKat fan, they have a new flavor I haven't see before: Salt Lemon. The store is relatively large compared to their original location. They also have an online store, if you would like to check out some of their products before going. read more

I was very happy to know that they opened a new TESO life near the LIRR station in Bayside. TESO is a Japanese chain store where you can purchase snacks, beauty products, small mystery figurine toy boxes, and more! There are several locations in Manhattan as well. I was excited to come here for their Japanese Kit Kat flavors! These are flavors that are usually only found in Japan but I am so happy that there is a way to purchase them in New York now. read more

I stumbled upon it after AYCE KBBQ at O2 and I was really unsure of what they sold but after going in I realized it was essentially a candy store/makeup store/home supply store all in one. They sell really unique KitKats from other countries and they have a really cool selection of ice creams. I love coming here for their matcha ice cream sandwich it's so good. Definitely worth stopping in. The staff are polite and it feels like a really nice store all around. read more

Lot of Asian products that you would never find in any other store. Really like the smell of a lot of the products here, that Japanese sweet fruity or floral aroma is everywhere from candles , lotion, shampoo, hair product , etc. Also has a ton of snacks and drinks that i never seen or tried before despite me growing up in an Asian neighborhood. read more

First time at teso life- it was okay! They are definite anti shop lifting. We had someone follow us around the store (very uncomfortable) and they have video screenshots of.shoplifters on their front window. The store itself is moderate in size. This is definitely more of a home / personal item store. I was expecting some Japanese stationary, but nope just lots of beauty / self care, home accessories and snacks. Not bad! read more

Nice to have a closer Teso Life that opened up near our home. Our go to spot to stock up on assorted snacks. Today was a bust because the cashier was senseless... bought some stuff in addition to a gift card and she charged me for the gift card first, then used the gift card to pay for the rest. Who does that... I obviously wanted to GIFT the GIFTCARD to someone ... prime example to work smarter, not harder because then she had to pull the manager from the back to fix it while there was a line forming behind me. Once it was fixed, she shoved the receipt at me with annoyance unaware of what she had just done... unnecessary and annoying situation. read more

Very nice store with nice Japanese products. However, when I was checking out I noticed there was a girl in the lavender hair color keeps laughing and talking trash about customers in Chinese. I understand Chinese. I am very surprised at the mockery and awful things she said to customers for no reason. The other employees were not putting up with her too but there's this one girl with purple lavender hair! Be aware! The store should train their employees right. So unprofessional. read more
